The first movie my family ever saw in theaters together was Big Hero 6. Our youngest daughter was pretty young (just under 2) but she was mesmerized by Baymax. I knew right then that we had a little Disney fan on our hands! This quickly became one of the most played movies in our house, so when the animated series was announced a while back, we were all excited! Big Hero 6 The Series is so much fun – for the whole family! And now that the series has been released on DVD, we decided to throw the ultimate viewing party!
Foods
If you ask me, the most important part about a party is the food! I don’t know about your family, but mine is really into snack mix! It tends to be the highlight of any movie night now. Well, I figured out a really easy way to incorporate Baymax into pretty much any snack mix – MARSHALLOWS! Buy a bag of the mini ones and simple draw a Baymax face on them (with something edible of course). It is just two dots connected by a line. We included popcorn and M&Ms with our Baymax marshmallows, but you can add anything you like.
If you know anything about me, you might know that I am not that crafty. My husband is the crafty one in the family. So when we were thinking of activities for our Big Hero 6 viewing party, I went with something easy. Coloring books! There are so many Big Hero 6 options out there, and thanks to Disney, we got a Color and Play book that came with crayons! What a perfect thing to keep my little one busy. They also sent us a sticker sheet!
If you are craftier than I am, you might want to try these awesome DIYs from my friend Amy at As The Bunny Hops!
Of course you can’t watch Big Hero 6 The Series without cuddling up to your very own Baymax! Lucky for me we have had one for a while now. If we got just the one from Disney in this kit and didn’t have a back up, my girls would have seriously been fighting over him. We also pulled out a Baymax beach towel to use as a blanket and a Baymax water bottle to keep the girls hydrated.
About Big Hero 6: The Series
The adventures continue for tech genius Hiro Hamada and his healthcare companion, the lovable, inflatable Baymax! The opening of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has set sales of dinosaur-themed toys stampeding! Dinosaurs have always been popular with kids, but now it is growing. I know my girls love dinosaurs! Here are just a few dinosaur toys that are sure to have your kids excited. Fill your summer with dinosaur fun!
Dino Glove-A-Bubbles (Zing)
Kids can slip this dino-shaped ‘animal themed’ gloves on their hands, dip it into the portable pouch of bubble solution, wave their hands and make hundreds of bubbles with just a wave of their hands! My girls have had so much fun running our yard with this bubble-a-glove. There are other animals to choose from too!
Kids mold their very own clay dinosaur players to move around the board. When another dinosaur enters the same spot, players can SPLAT their opponents into extinction. Not only is this an exciting board game, but it allows you to be creative and crafty. You get to design your own playing piece by sculpting your own dinosaurs with the included clay and mold. pend time together as a family with this exciting and unique game from Game Zone. Quality family time is important for children building their social skills and developing relationships, plus it’s tons of fun!
The wildly popular stop-motion animation toy and app now features dinosaurs! This lets kids make Stikbot-themed animation shorts – maybe even their own Jurassic Park movie! I foresee hours and hours of family fun with these guys!
Kids can explore these ancient temple with the help of a secret map – simply rub it to reveal a hidden path where ”X” marks the spot. The playset also has “functioning” laser gun, working temple gate and pulley system and comes with a cool UV flashlight to reveal glow-in-the-dark features like the ruin’s crystal eyes, jungle plant and more! Each of six new playsets in the line features a different dinosaur and plenty of play adventures designed to inspire kids to explore the far reaches of their imaginations.
While at Niagara Falls Comic Con this year, I was able to attend a panel with the one and only John Ratzenberger! Not did he play Cliff, one of my favorite characters on Cheers, he also voices many characters for Disney/Pixar. If you know anything about me, you know how much I love Disney and Pixar films, so this was a great experience. At the panel, I learned so much from him and about him.
He Is A Genuinely Nice Guy
Because every member of my family is a massive Pixar fan, we decided to wait in John’s line to meet him and get his autograph. There were lots of photo options to choose from, and my oldest really wanted to photo with all of his characters on it. We decided that made the most sense, but my 5 year old was sad because she wanted a Hamm (Toy Story) photo. John asked her what was wrong and she told him. He threw in the extra autographed photo for her without asking. And then he did the voices of their favorite characters for the girls! It made their day!
He Is The Only Voice Actor to Be A Part of All Pixar Films
When it was pointed out to John that he was really the only voice actor to be a part of all Pixar films he joked that it was because he has “some Polaroids of Steve Jobs with farm animals” that Pixar doesn’t want getting out. We all laughed but in actuality, this is a pretty amazing stat. “I’m not even sure how it happened, and I don’t question it.” John admitted. “As long as they call me, I’ll show up and do my job, and go home.”
He Finds Out About New Films When We Do
I am not 100% sure this is true, but John let everyone know he usually doesn’t find out about a movie until we do. Basically when he reads rumors or articles that a new Pixar movie, especially the sequels, is being made, that is when he knows he has a new job. “I get the Google reports that my name is mentioned. ‘John Ratzenberger is coming back reprising the role of blah, blah, blah’ and I say ‘oh I didn’t know they were doing another one.'” He did reiterate that he finds out when we do really, adding that he is sure he could ask and find out, but he doesn’t.
He Loves That Pixar Does All the Heavy Lifting
As most of us know, with voice acting, you don’t record with the people you are working with. Everyone is recorded individuality. John said this is because it takes too long, ‘if you have five people recording, four of them could be spot on perfect and the fifth guy, you can hear the change rattling in his pocket, you would have to start at the beginning.” He went on to say that Pixar makes it really easy for the voice actors and they do all the heavy lifting. John said that they have worked on the script for three or four years, so the directors “know every punctuation, every pause, every sigh.”
For example, on Incredibles 2, Brad Bird can easily say read this line like you just ran a mile, or do this one as more afraid. John likes that he just has to literally do what the director tells him to, with no heavy lifting on his part. If you did not know, John is reprising his role as The Underminer in Incredibles 2, which is in theaters now!
He Changed How Pixar Records For Their Films
Ratzenberger has played several different sized roles in his Pixar career. Some are major roles, and some are very small roles. The moderator asked John how long it usually takes to record a role and he told us something pretty amazing. “I actually invented the system. It was the first Toy Story. [At a recording session] you have the microphone, and in the booth is the director, producer and whoever. You do the first line, and then they confer.” John then explained they would maybe ask him to do the line faster the second time and so on and so on, taking up a lot of time. “I said, how about I give you five different ways each time and you tell me which one is the best or the closest. We started that system and shaved off a lot of time so what used to take three hours, might take 45 minutes.”
He Likes To Mess With Kids
John has a pretty distinguishable voice, especially to young kids who love Pixar movies. When I say he likes to mess with kids, I mean he does the voices on purpose so as to confuse a child and have them looking around for one of his characters. “There was a Kindergarten class in line like little ducklings following a teacher in Central Park. As the last one passed I said ‘Hey where’s Buzz Lightyear and Woody?’ (he says in perfect Hamm’s voice). There was about five or six Kindergarteners spinning around. I have fun with that.” My girls’ faces lite up hearing him talk in their favorite character’s voices, so I can imagine how unsuspecting kids react. To be a fly on the wall one time he does that would be great!
He Will Take A C Job Where He Can Travel Over An A Job
John talked about how he loves to travel. So much so that he would take a smaller movie over a big A-list movie if it meant he could visit somewhere he has never been. “I lived in England for 10 years and did a lot of movies over there. When an agent would pitch a movie to me, I would never ask who is the Director, or who wrote it, or let me see the script. I would always say where is the location? Because I thought this is a cool gig if I get to travel all over the world and have someone else pay for it. If it was an A film, filmed in London, I would shoo that and instead go for a B or C film being filmed in Malta. I’m probably the dumbest actor in the world but I just like to travel.”

His Favorite Pixar Character He Voices Is P.T. Flea
My daughter was waiting patiently to ask John who his favorite Pixar character he voices is, but another kid beat her to it. That is OK, though because we still got his answer. His favorite Pixar movie – A Bug’s Life – and his favorite character – P.T. Flea from that very same film. “I like P.T. Flea because he is so avaricious. He is always on the edge, his anxiety. When I meet people like that, it always makes me laugh.”
He Created the Character of Cliff On Cheers
John let us know that he auditioned for a different role in Cheers and blew it. He never went to acting school and Cheers was actually his first audition. On his way out the door, he asked if they had the character of a bar know-it-all yet. The casting people asked him what he meant and the rest is history. “I explained this character. I really just wanted to make them laugh so I could get out of there with my dignity. Two days later they said hey, we want to try this character out. I said whoever it is, he has to have keys hanging from his belt. Because if you notice, they are showing you how much stuff they know.” Well, I sure am glad that he suggested his character because I can’t imagine Cheers without him!
He Wanted To Do A Cliff & Norm Movie Series
After Cheers ended, John Ratzenberger and George Wendt were approached by Paramount Pictures to do a series of films. “Bing Crosby and Bob Hope did a series of films: Hope and Crosby Go To Morocco, Hope and Crosby Join the Navy. They wanted to tdo the same thing with us and Cliff and Norm Go To Sea, Cliff and Norm Work at a Hospital. Which we both thought was hysterical. We both wanted to do it but the Cheers producers wouldn’t allow it because they wouldn’t have part of it.” Can you imagine how amazing these movies would have been?
Watch half of the panel with John Ratzenberger below!
Do you have a favorite character of John’s? Let me know in the comments!
My husband and I recently took our first vacation without the kids since we had them. If you are keeping count that means it had been seven years before our last couples vacation. That is a long time, too long really. We went to Hawaii for only 4 days, but it was just what we needed. We needed to be a couple again, we needed to us again, and we needed to reconnect. The girls were home safe with his parents and we went to the big island of Hawaii to enjoy ourselves. We did went on adventures during the day and probably drank way too much at night. But we had no responsibilities and it was amazing. If you find yourself on the big island with your significant other, here are five things I highly recommend you check out!
Night Time Snorkel with Manta Rays
Snorkeling at night with the manta rays in Kona, Hawaii is one of the coolest things I have ever done. My husband and I were vacationing in Hawaii for our anniversary and were told it was a MUST DO by everyone we know who visited there before. And I have to say – it totally is! I look forward to doing this every time we visit Hawaii. These rays came up and swam right under us, they even bumped in to my husband a few times. There are many companies that do this event, so be sure you do it if you are visiting Hawaii!
Some of the best views on the island that we had was driving up the dormant volcano Mauna Loa. We drove up 9,000 feet, which was as high as you can go without 4 wheel drive, to the Observatory. Driving down was also stunning – and to be above the clouds was such an amazing experience.
Helicopter Ride Over Waterfalls & Volcanoes
I have never been in a helicopter before, but my husband has thanks to his stint in the United States Navy. He has talked about how cool it is many times, and so we have always planned to go eventually. So when we went away for our honeymoon, we decided to take the “Ring of Fire” helicopter tour with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters and I am so glad we did! We saw erupting volcanoes hidden waterfalls from the sky and it was one of the coolest things I have ever done.
Visit Colorful Beaches
Before we went to the big island, I had no idea how colorful the beaches were there. Besides the “normal” color beaches, there is a black sand beach and a green sand beach. The green sand beach was a little bit tougher to get to – we paid a local a few bucks to drive us in a four wheel truck to the beach from the southern most point in the USA, which was a huge part of the experience. Just a little ways up the highway from there is the black sand beach, where we discovered lots of nesting giant sea turtles!
Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park
My husband and I always like to do something historical while we are on vacation. We love to learn about other cultures and the history of the places we visit. So the Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park was a must for us! This historical park preserves the site where, up until the early 19th century, Hawaiians who broke a kapu (one of the ancient laws) could avoid certain death by fleeing to this place of refuge or puʻuhonua. The offender would be absolved by a priest and freed to leave. Defeated warriors and non-combatants could also find refuge here during times of battle. The grounds just outside the Great Wall that encloses the puʻuhonua were home to several generations of powerful chiefs. It was pretty amazing and surreal to see and learn about. A must visit for history buffs!

Power up your hero within with any (or all) of these delicious Incredibles 2 inspired recipes from Dole!
As you probably know by now, I have two young daughters. About a year ago, my husband and I decided it was time to get healthy. We wanted to be around for our daughters long into their lives. We cut out a lot of sweets and bad-for-you foods foods, and focused on healthy eating in our home. Because of this, we often purchase DOLE® fruits – which my girls love. They especially enjoy often seeing their favorite characters featured on the packaging (and yes, they keep those stickers as long as they can). This summer, DOLE® is celebrating an INCREDIBLE summer – “Powering The Hero Within” featuring Disney•Pixar’s Incredibles 2, a movie we can’t wait to see! I am an official ambassador for Dole Fresh. Dole provided me with compensation for my time. All opinions expressed in this post are mine.
I always look forward to these collaborations between Disney and DOLE® because of the delicious themed recipes. These Incredibles 2-themed recipes happen to come at the perfect time because my daughter turns 7 this month and wants an Incredibles-themed birthday party. This is the latest chapter in Dole’s yearlong “Powering the Hero Within” (#DoleHero and #DoleFamily) initiative. This summer adds a 15-week healthy-eating collaboration with Incredibles 2 featuring breakfast, entrée, snack, and drink recipes. DOLE® will also feature useful healthy eating tips with colorful character images on millions of DOLE® Bananas and Pineapples in U.S and Canadian supermarkets continentwide.

My family and I went to see Incredibles 2 this weekend. To say that Jack-Jack stole the show is probably an understatement. Don’t get me wrong, we loved the whole movie. The plot is great, a little bit predictable but that is to be expected. We all loved seeing the movie pick right back up where it left off 14 years ago. My daughters loved the introductions of some new Supers, and we all thought the action was fantastic. But as a mom, well, I learned a few things about parenting I needed to from the Parr family.
This one is an obvious one. Every parent knows that it isn’t easy. But I don’t think every parent knows that it isn’t easy FOR EVERY PARENT. We are not alone in this moms and dads. Kids can be unpredictable. Kids can be moody. And kids can be a total handful. In Incredibles 2 we see the family discovering Jack-Jack’s new powers and trying to handle them, but we also see Dash having homework problems and Violet having teenager problems. Even Supers like Bob Parr have parenting problems. But he made it through and so can I.
This really plays off of what I said above. Sometimes it is necessary to take a break from your little ones. It doesn’t mean you love them any less. It just means you might need to sleep for, was it 27 hours?, in order to feel yourself again. There is no shame in that. In order to care for your kids, you need to care for yourself. Bob needed a break and he went to a friend for help – which led to one of the funniest parts of the entire movie.
Well this one is a lot easier said than done. Much like Helen Parr, I have to leave my daughters with my husband for work sometimes. And just like Helen, it is for a pretty amazing experience and I do normally have fun while I am there. In the past I have done things like walk red carpets, interview amazingly talented celebrities, and see movies weeks before they hit theaters. Helen gets to do things like stop runaway trains.
Just because we are moms doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy our lives too. And if we are lucky enough that our work has us doing things we genuinely enjoy, we shouldn’t feel guilty about it. The kids will be just fine (mostly) while we are gone. I am pretty sure it hurts us more than it hurts them to leave for a few days. Helen struggled with it just like any mom does, but everything worked out OK in the end. We deserve to do what we love too – it will only help the whole family out in the long wrong. Because a happy woman is a happy mom and a happy wife.
About Incredibles 2
In Incredibles 2, Helen is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet, Dash, and baby Jack-Jack—whose super powers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.
I love Jack-Jack Parr – who doesn’t?! He is the cutest super hero baby with some pretty amazing powers. Speaking of his powers, we got a glimpse into them in the first Incredibles movie, and a little bit in the Incredibles 2 trailers. While at Pixar Studios in April, I got an in depth look at his new powers and how the animation team created them. So much work goes into creating things like this, you would have no idea. We must have watched twenty tests to see how his powers would come across on screen, and I am sure that was not all of them!
Jason Johnston, who is the Effects Technical Assistant at Pixar, showed us all the steps that he took to create this new look of Jack-Jack’s. Getting the fire power effect correct was really important. If done wrong, he could look like a devil baby – or worse – like he was on fire! When they first started working on this effect, they went back and looked at his fire power from the first Incredibles film. Jack-Jack’s role while on fire is much bigger in Incredibles 2, so the team decided to re-imagine his look. Luckily, technology has changed so much since the first film they were able to really perfect it! They were able to do more and flush out the look, exactly like they had pictured.
Jason Johnston is photographed on March 20, 2018 at Pixar Animation Studios in Emeryville, Calif. (Photo by Deborah Coleman / Pixar)
Something that was really important to the team was being able to read Jack-Jack’s performance and facial expressions WHILE he is on fire. Ralph Eggleston was very specific in the fact that Jack-Jack is the source of the fire, he is not on fire. The team decided that there would never be smoke or embers coming off of him, however, it could come off of the things he sets on fire. They wanted to stay away from scary, so they looked for references of objects that are fuel sources of fire, but do not look like they are on fire when they burn. Their main focus was on barbecue fire starter cubes, and they matched some of those looks – small scale flames were a major takeaway of this.
As soon as they introduced Jack-Jack’s glowing eyes, they knew they wanted to stick with them. These eyes were from an idea that his core is extremely hot. I don’t know about you, but I thought that really worked in the film. The team also introduced a change of color to his skin and placing the flames over his body. After adding in little flourishes for when Jack-Jack gets angry, they had the final approved fire effect!
One of my favorite powers that Jack-Jack has is his ability to go goo. We were all shocked seeing this for the first time during his battle with the raccoon. Trust me, I wanted to shout how awesome it was from the rooftops, but it is technically a spoiler, and so I waited until now, after the film’s release. During our talk with Jason at Pixar, we also learned a little bit about how they created this goo power.
Tony Fucile reviews animator’s work in their offices, as seen on February 20, 2018 at Pixar Animation Studios in Emeryville, Calif. (Photo by Deborah Coleman / Pixar)
This effect is something that they wanted in the first film, but because of technical limitations, it was scrapped. Jason describes the goo look as a honey-type texture. A few tests were done to make sure the effect was done right. Done wrong, it could have been really creepy and disgusting. Unfortunately, everything he came up with was not working, so he passed along the goo effect to the animation department – who hit the look.
If you have seen Incredibles 2 already then you know Jack-Jack has a pretty awesome power set. Besides the fire and goo effects, he can also teleport and phase through walls. One of my favorite powers of his are the laser eyes – and of course, you can’t forget his multiplying. Not to mentions so so many more (but I want you to be surprised if you have not seen the movie yet!) Lots of his powers are showcased in that amazing fight with the raccoon – one of my favorite scenes of the film! What a perfect way to show what little baby Jack-Jack is capable of! But then, he just gets more and more. In fact, at one point Elastigirl mentions she missed Jack-Jack’s first power, but Mr. Incredibles corrects her, she missed his first 17!
In The Incredibles, we saw Jack-Jack turn into metal, but that is something that was not featured in Incredibles 2. Something kind of fun that you may have noticed about baby Parr is that he had two teeth pop through since the first film. He really is growing up before our eyes! Imagine what he might look like in Incredibles 3 (fingers crossed!).

I am so excited to let you know guys know I am off to LA June 23 to 25th for Marvel Studios again! This time I will be screening Ant-Man and The Wasp, as well as interviewing some of the cast and filmmakers! I have been waiting for this movie since the moment it was hinted at in Ant-Man. And as if that wasn’t amazing enough, we will be checking out Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger and a new Disney Junior show, Fancy Nancy, too! Read on for all the details and of course, let me know if you have any questions for me to ask. I will do my best to get them answered for you!
Ant-Man and The Wasp
I have a feeling that Ant-Man and The Wasp is going be a hit movie this summer. If you have seen Avengers: Infinity War, then you know he was not around during Thanos’ invasion of Earth. We find out that is was because he was on house arrest, along with Hawkeye, but I am ready for the whole story. From the looks of this trailer, he gets himself in to some trouble, and I can’t wait to see how it plays out. Ghost, who is one of my favorite Marvel comic characters, looks amazing – but totally different. I am used to Ghost being an old man, not this young woman. So I am anxious to hear her background.
Besides screening the movie, we will be interviewing available cast and filmmakers. If you have any questions for them, please let me know in the commentsand I will try my best to get them answered for you. Just who are we going to be chatting with? Well pretty much the entire all star cast (and I cannot wait!):
Paul Rudd (“Scott Lang / Ant-Man”)
Evangeline Lilly (“Hope van Dyne / The Wasp”)
Michael Douglas (“Dr. Hank Pym”)
Laurence Fishburne (“Dr. Bill Foster”)
Hannah John-Kamen (“Ghost”)
Director Peyton Reed
Ant-Man and The Wasp opens in theaters July 6th!
About Ant-Man and The Wasp Scott Lang is grappling with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. Approached by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym, Lang must once again don the Ant-Man suit and fight alongside the Wasp. The urgent mission soon leads to secret revelations from the past as the dynamic duo finds itself in an epic battle against a powerful new enemy.
Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger has quickly become one of my favorite TV shows. Freeform has been sending me screeners so that I can view the episodes ahead of air time and I had to sit on the first four episodes weeks before anyone else would see them. It was hard to shout to the world all the amazing details that went in to this show. It is brilliant and any Marvel fan (or even those that know nothing about it) will love it.
While in LA we will get to watch an upcoming episode and even attend a Q&A with Andrea Roth (“Melissa Bowen”), Miles Mussenden (“Michael Johnson”), as well as Showrunner and Executive Producer Joe Pokaski. If you have questions, send them my way!
Watch Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger on Freeform Thursdays at 8pm!
About Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger “Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger” is the story of Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph). Two teenagers from very different backgrounds, who find themselves burdened by and awakened to newly discovered superpowers which are mysteriously linked to one another.
My daughters are especially excited about one part of my trip in particular: I will be joining Disney Junior for a late morning tea and special screening of the upcoming series “Fancy Nancy.” This is based on some of their favorite books by Jane O’Connor and Robin Preiss Glasser. This new series is an animated family comedy centered around six-year-old Nancy, a girl who likes to be fancy in everything from her advanced vocabulary to her creative, elaborate attire. She is totally my oldest daughter so I cannot wait to watch this show with her when it premieres in July!
Following the screening, Jamie Mitchell (Executive Producer/Director) and Krista Tucker (Story Editor) will participate in a Q&A session. Let me know if you have any questions and I will try my hardest to get them answered for you!
Fancy Nancy premieres on Disney Junior July 13th at 11am!
About Fancy Nancy Based on the New York Times best-selling books by Jane O’Connor and Robin Preiss Glasser, the animated family comedy centers on 6-year-old Nancy, a girl who likes to be fancy in everything from her advanced vocabulary to her creative, elaborate attire. The day is finally here guys! Incredibles 2 is in theaters! I cannot tell you how long I have been waiting for this movie. While at Pixar Studios I saw about 30 minutes of it and have been DYING to see the rest. This weekend I will be taking my daughters to go see it and I am so excited. Don’t worry, you know I will have a review up for you, so watch for that. In case you missed my coverage from Pixar, I have linked it all for you here. Plus, I have some pretty awesome downloadable coloring pages for you. And go see Incredibles 2 in theaters this weekend – I just know it will be amazing!
In Case You Missed It
By now I am sure you guys know I was at Pixar Studios this year to learn all about Incredibles 2. It was pretty amazing to go behind the scenes of an animated film and learn about all of the work that goes in to them. I guess I had never thought about the fact that it could be even more work than a live action film because everything pretty much has to be made from scratch! If you missed my coverage or ate new to my site, don’t worry, I got you covered!
My daughters love to color. I think they take after their mom on that one as I enjoy coloring when I need to relax. It is something that always clears my mind. Because of their love for art, I am constantly searching the web for coloring pages for their favorite movies. So you know the second I found out about Incredibles 2 coloring pages, I printed out a stack. Download your Incredibles 2 coloring pages here (and enjoy!).
My family likes to travel, especially in the summer. But traveling can be stressful. Here’s some tips to make your vacation less stressful!
We are a family that loves to travel. Lucky for us, my husband has Mondays off, so when we can take the girls out of school, we do. We love going on three day adventures. From Canada, to Pennsylvania, to Massachusetts, we try love adventure. If it is within driving distance, we will plan a trip there. Now I want to share some tips I have learned to help you become a master at weekend getaways too!
Diono Radian RXT
Where ever you are going, I know you want to keep your kids safe on the journey. All parents do. Diono is a brand that you can trust. I should know, I have been using them for years. My oldest daughter is in one of their boosters, and my youngest just got a new Diono Radian RXT. My girls never complain about being uncomfortable, and are always strapped in tight. As a mom, I am overly impressed by Diono, and I think you will be too!
Travel Tray
Travel Trays are literally the coolest thing for traveling kids that I have seen in a while! Simply put them in the cup holder and you are done with set up. My girls love having these because they can use them to play or eat during long trips. My husband and I love them because they keep the food and toys on the tray, and not strewn about the car. Talk about an easy clean-up.
myCharge Portable Charger
When I am traveling with my family or for a press event, I am always using my phone. Taking photos and video, recording audio, and of course staying current on social media. Because of this my phone battery tends to drain pretty quickly. Luckily, there are such things as portable chargers out there and I want to tell you about one of my favorites, myCharge hubmini. The reason I love this one so much is because it has two (yes two!!) charges. It also comes pre-charged so you can pack it in your bag the day you pick it up. The built in cables allow you to charge your iPhone and/or micro-USB devices. Yes please! So stay charged while on the go with myCharge!
