When I first saw the trailer for The Kid Who Would Be King, I was super excited! This looked like a movie that I could take my oldest daughter to see and we would both enjoy it. There is a lot of sorcery and it seemed like a fun new take on the story of King Arthur and the Sword in the Stone. So imagine how excited my daughter and I were when Fox invited us to NYC to see the movie before it hit theaters! Honestly, we were both blown away. This movie was better than I could have ever imagined, and I can’t wait to see it again!
Oh my goodness guys, we FINALLY have the Spider-Man: Far From Home teaser trailer – and it was so worth the wait! WOW! I love Mysterio in the comics and I was really scared that he would look cheesy. Because, let’s be honest here, he has a cheesy costume. But he doesn’t! He looks amazing! And I feel like even though we didn’t learn much, we learned a few things.
You probably already know this if you follow me, but I have two dogs – a pug named Khaleesi, and a puggle named Sansa. They are a huge part of our family and we love them so much, I cannot imagine how it would be if they got lost or ran away. A Dog’s Way Home is about a dog who takes off to chase a squirrel (something I could totally see our Sansa doing) and she has to find her way home. This is something that my whole family wants to see because we love a heartwarming tale, especially one that involves dogs.
I finally got around to watching Love, Simon – I know, I know. It has been months since it came out but the timing never worked out. Now that I have seen it (twice because it was that good), I am ready to sing its praises to everyone. Love, Simon is a movie that every single parent should watch – no matter how accepting you are. If I had seen it before my top 10 list of 2018 movies was put out, it probably would have been in my top 5.
You guys KNOW I am excited about Captain Marvel! I mean, I was ON THE…
I have told you before I am sure, but Carol Danvers has been one of my favorite Marvel ladies for a long time. Back when she was Ms. Marvel, she was amazing, and I was hooked on her story lines. And then she became Captain Marvel, which was insanely cool. She is a total badass. Super strong. She can take down Iron Man guys. And HARD! With the Captain Marvel movie hitting theaters this March, all fans should be familiar with some story lines. Here are the five comic books that I recommend reading before you go see Captain Marvel.
2018 was an amazing year for movies, and it looks like 2019 is going to be just as good, if not better. There are so many movies that I am looking forward to! It was super hard to narrow my list down to the top 10 (so you know I put in some honorable mentions too). At the end of the year I will come back with my top 10 movies of the year, and it will be interesting to see which ones, if any, overlap. Hopefully these all live up the hype I have for them!
2018 is coming to an end and it was a fantastic year for movies! 2019 looks like it will be just as good – if not better. As we close out the year, I wanted to share with you all my top 10 movies of 2018 (plus some honorable mentions). Now, I didn’t see every movie I was hoping to this year, but I saw a good amount. Let me know your favorites of the year too!
