We are a gaming family. I mean, we have basically every gaming console ever made (yes I have the original NES still – although it is in the attic and not set up – but that is another story). When we first heard about Scribblenauts Showdown, we knew it was likely be an instant hit with our family. We love battling it out with each other and are constantly playing games like Mario Kart, 1, 2, Switch, and Bomberman. All four of us have some competitiveness about us, so this game was right up our alley! Luckily for us, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment gave us a copy to check it out the day it came out – and we fell in love right away!
It’s Nintendo Switch’s birthday! To celebrate, GameStop is introducing the #NintendoSwitchChallenge – a fun (and a little wacky) way to play Mario Kart! We are totally a Switch family (in case you haven’t figured that out), so we had to try it out ourselves – check out our video below. It was such a blast to do, but please don’t laugh at me. Please. OK, fine. Go ahead and laugh (fun fact, I laughed at myself too).
Tax season is here – and I for one am ready to spend my refund! While I would love to add more points on my Disney Vacation Club membership, that just isn’t the smartest thing right now (I mean, I just bought a year ago). So let’s move past my Disney obsession to my other obsession – gaming! Get the biggest bang for Uncle Sam’s buck at GameStop. They are kicking off Tax Season with unbeatable PRO DAY offers – and the deals keep coming during two-week refund sale event!
If you are a fan of my website or social media accounts, than you know I have two little girls. Well, I shouldn’t say little anymore since they are now 5 and 6 years old. These girls love to play games. In fact, several times a week we sit down as a family for a game night. We always try to rotate the games that we play so that we don’t get bored, and the latest addition is Educational Insight’s SculptaPalooza. Believe me when I say that we have been laughing up a storm with this game!
I don’t want to say we went out and bought an XBOX One X solely so that we could play Cuphead, but I will say that it was a huge part of the reason why. My husband and I had been waiting for this game since it was announced. The fact that it is totally hand painted is super fun and old school – and we just love it! Was this game well worth the cost on an XBOX One X? I say yes!
Did you know that February is anime month? My family is big into anime, from Pokemon to Attack on Titan, we love it all! Cowboy Beebop is one of the first television shows I ever binged. That show helped my love for anime grow – and my husband and I passed that love on to our daughters. They might only be 5 and 6, but they enjoy shows like Yo Kai Watch and Pokemon more than most other shows they watch. Not to mention, they collect all of the toys and games.
Seeing as we are a family of four, we love that there is four player couch co-op in Rayman Legends for the Nintendo Switch! This is one of the few games we can all play together without taking turns. Our girls are young, but boy do they love it. We have had some real fun with the 100+ maps that are in this game. That means hours and hours of fun.
The holidays have just ended and you may have received (or given) a PlayStation 4 as a gift. I have had one for a couple of years now and have a decent collection of video games. That being said, over the holiday break, I just started playing Fortnite Battle Royale. It has quickly become very addictive as I have already spent several hours playing it – and forsee many more in my future. Fortnite is easily my current favorite video game right now (second to Call of Duty WWII and Super Mario Odyssey). I believe it is also available on XBOX and PC.
The Nintendo Switch is the perfect holiday gift for the whole family – and GameStop has them in stock! If you have been looking at every store, have no fear – GameStop currently has both the gray and neon (blue and red) Switch consoles. But inventory is going FAST, so get one while you still can! Trust me, we spent months looking for the Switch when it first came out, don’t find yourself waiting like we had to. Make the whole family happy by placing one under the tree this year.
