You guys KNOW I am excited about Captain Marvel! I mean, I was ON THE SET last year and it was incredible. I have so many things to tell you. Eventually. About that. I saw things, I touched things, I talked to people… but all that is for a later date. Today I am just letting you know that tickets are on sale NOW and you need to grab yours! I am totally taking my girls opening night because – GIRL POWER! Am I right? They are already so excited about this movie.
A Special Look
Yea, I am pretty excited about this special look as you can probably tell by my reaction video. I mean, we see more Jude Law. As Mar-Vell we all but know. I mean, I don’t think it is officially confirmed, but he is. We know it. He is training Carol and it is amazing. Plus we have another quick look at young Agent Coulson, who I adore. Then there is the jokes. I mean, the friendship and relationship that Carol and Nick have is everything. I loved seeing them laugh together. And the Skrull shape shifting?! Ummm…HELLO! That looked so cool. I can’t wait.

My daughters both love Ben 10. It has been one of their favorite shows since the first time they watched it. My six year old is such a big fan that a lot of her Christmas presents were Ben 10 themed. So she was thrilled (and so were we) when a special package from Cartoon Network arrived at our door. It contained the newest DVD – Ben 10: Out to Launch – as well as a Playmates Toys’ Ben 10 Deluxe Transforming Figure. Of course now we plan to collect them all!
Season 3
Season 3 of Ben 10 is premiering this month and will introduce a new character named Kevin 11. He is Ben’s 11 year old nemesis and I cannot wait to learn more about him. You know I am a villain girl so I just might be cheering for him. Kevin 11 developed the Anti-trix, a custom version of Ben’s Omnitrix, which he activates to produce alternative versions of Ben’s heroic aliens. This sounds like it is truly going to be a great season and I cannot wait to dive in to it!
About Ben 10

This device gives Ben the ability to transform into any one of ten spectacular and powerful aliens! My whole family, from ages 6 to 36, love this show. It is something that you can nerd out together over. For Christmas my girls got the COOLEST toy that allows them to mix and match the parts for all of Ben’s aliens. Yea, it is pretty amazing.
My family is always on the go, especially during the school year. My daughters have sports and other after school activities so dinner is usually a quick event.
This stir fry recipe is something I came up with while trying to have a meal prepared in less than 15 minutes, and still be keto and low carb approved. It quickly became a hit with everyone! Plus it is easy to modify with different veggies and sauces!
Ingredients
6 sausage links
1 tablespoons Worcester sauce
1 bag of frozen cauliflower rice
2 bell peppers, chopped
2 zucchinis, chopped
salt
pepper
Directions
Cook the sausage – I always cook my sausage links in the Johnsonville Sizzling Sausage Grill. It takes less than 10 minutes and they always come out perfectly.
Grill vegetables of your choice on the stove top. We use peppers, onions, and zucchini.
Add 2 tablespoons of Worcester sauce while cooking.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Add sliced, cooked sausage links.
Cook together for a few minutes.
Remove from heat.
Serve of cauliflower rice.
Top with Soy Sauce if desired. Another option is chimichurri sauce or teriyaki sauce.

When Colton was first announced as this year’s The Bachelor, I was less than thrilled. After watching him, not only on Becca’s season, but on Bachelor in Paradise, I just felt like he wasn’t ready. It has nothing to do with his age, I was married at age 25. But everything to do with how he treated Tia. Perhaps he really did fall in love with Becca, but he was confused about Tia because of it. I just hope he has matured since then. I have seen the first episode of The Bachelor already, and I am cautiously optimistic.
The Girls
In the first episode you always get to know the majority of the girls. Some more than others. Well, there are a few that really stood out to me. One, in particular, I really liked. Another, I really can’t stand. Now, I should clarify that I was able to watch the first episode, however, the rose ceremony was cut. So I don’t know who has gone and who is still around. I will say there was some kissing going on! One girl on the show has never been kissed and I look forward to seeing if Colton is her first kiss.
The girl I like a lot is a content creator, and her name is Hannah. She is adorable and I think there was some chemistry there. If I had to make a prediction, I would say she makes final three. Sloth girl totally annoyed me – I bet she will annoy you too. And Catherine, who is a DJ from Florida, IMMEDIATELY got on my nerves. She brought Colton her dog to take care of and interrupted many women during their time. Just not cool girl. Not cool. I hope she goes this episode, but I have a feeling she may stick around for the drama for a few more weeks.
Too Many Virgin References
As the women walked up to meet Colton so many of them referenced his virginity. From popping a cherry balloon, to taking a V card from him – it all seemed a bit ridiculous. Yes, he is a virgin, we know. Get over it. I sincerely hope this does not become a reoccurring thing this season because it will get old quickly.
Overall though, the premiere has me intrigued. And liking Colton just a little bit more. I will be tuning in all season long and sharing my thoughts with you here and there.

I have told you before I am sure, but Carol Danvers has been one of my favorite Marvel ladies for a long time. Back when she was Ms. Marvel, she was amazing, and I was hooked on her story lines. And then she became Captain Marvel, which was insanely cool. She is a total badass. Super strong. She can take down Iron Man guys. And HARD! With the Captain Marvel movie hitting theaters this March, all fans should be familiar with some story lines. Here are the five comic books that I recommend reading before you go see Captain Marvel.
From what we have seen in the trailers, it seems we are going to get quite a bit of the Kree/Skrull War in Captain Marvel. The Skrulls are one of my favorite alien races in the Marvel Comics Universe, so I am beyond thrilled about this. You really should understand their background with the Kree (who are a major part of Carol’s backstory), and this is the best book to do it.

This is a quick and easy read that is beyond worth it! You get to know a little bit more about Mar-Vell and Carol. There are several Generations stories that involve other heroes as well, but this is one of the better ones if you ask me.

Want to know what makes Captain Marvel tick? See why she goes toe to toe with Iron Man in Civil War II. Easily one of my favorite crossover events ever from Marvel (right up there with Secret Invasion and Dark Reign and if you know me – that says a lot)! 2018 was an amazing year for movies, and it looks like 2019 is going to be just as good, if not better. There are so many movies that I am looking forward to! It was super hard to narrow my list down to the top 10 (so you know I put in some honorable mentions too). At the end of the year I will come back with my top 10 movies of the year, and it will be interesting to see which ones, if any, overlap. Hopefully these all live up the hype I have for them!
10. IT: Chapter 2
I love a good scary movie. And I hate clowns. Because of Pennywise. Which is why I am so excited for this movie. The latest IT had me freaking out and hiding behind my fingers in the theater, and I hope this one will do that too! Coming to theaters September 6, 2019.
9. The Lion King
I may or may not have had a wicked crush on JTT when The Lion King came out. Because of that, I watched this movie so many times. I still cry, as an adult, when I see it. The trailer has me in awe and I cannot wait to see what they have done with this movie. But I am so not ready to see Mufasa die. Coming to theaters July 19, 2019.
8. Spider-Man: Far From Home
This is so low on the list for one reason and one reason alone, we have not seen a trailer yet! You know I love me some Marvel, and of course I love me some Spidey. But not seeing any footage yet has this low on the list. I do love Mysterio and am really excited to see him as a villain, so I put this higher than number 10. Hopefully once the trailer comes I am just as hyped, if not more hyped! Coming to theaters July 5, 2019.
7. Star Wars Episode IX
Pretty much for the exact same reason as Spider-Man: Far From Home came in at 8, Star Wars Episode IX comes in at 7. I need to see some footage! I need a trailer….something! I’m sure this is going to be amazing, but I can’t put it above movies I have seen trailers for at the moment. Coming to theaters December 20, 2019.
6. Pokemon Detective Pikachu
I am a HUGE Pokemon fan and you know this trailer looks AMAZING! It was so much fun to try to spot all the Pokemon featured in it. And I never would have thought Ryan Reynolds would be a good Pikachu, but man did he impress me in this trailer. I am HYPED! Coming to theaters May 10, 2019.
5. US
Again, I love creepy and scary and that is just what US is bringing to 2019. I just know it. Get Out was one of my favorite movies of 2017, so I am really looking forward to Jordan Peele’s next film. Coming to theaters March 15, 2019.
4. Glass
What can I say about Glass? Man, I am really looking forward to this because Unbreakable and Split are two of my favorite thriller type movies. Seeing all of these characters together is going to be EPIC! Coming to theaters January 18, 2019.
3. Toy Story 4
As if all of my favorite characters coming back isn’t enough – they added Forky! Oh my goodness he is the most adorable toy that isn’t really a toy ever. I cannot wait to see what Disney/Pixar has in store for us with Toy Story 4. Toy Story 3 still makes me sob like a little baby. I don’t think I am ready for this. Coming to theaters June 21, 2019.
2. Captain Marvel
Girl power, am I right? I was totally on the set of this movie and cannot tell you anything still…. but I will say this is going to be an amazing movie. I just know it. Captain Marvel is sure to be a great role model for my daughters, so you know I am going to take them to see this movie opening weekend. Coming to theaters March 8, 2019. See what they changed from the Captain Marvel comic books.

Honorable Mentions
2019 is going to be an insane year for movies and it was SO HARD to choose my top 10. There are a LOT of honorable mentions here because they just have my SO HYPED. I couldn’t publish this post without mentioning them. These are in no particular order. I totally should have done a top 20 list.
Artemis Fowl– I’ve read the books & think Disney can really pull this off! Who is Artemis Fowl? I tell you all you need to know, don’t worry.
Aladdin – Aladdin is one of my all time favorite animated films, so that is what makes me so nervous about this remake. And one of the only reasons it is not on my top 10 list. I really hope this live action remake does it justice. I am excited, but cautious.
Shazam! – For a DC movie, this looks on the lighter side. I am really excited to see it and I hope I enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed the trailers!
Alita: Battle Angel – I mean, the trailers for this look amazing! I know it is based off a Manga so the comic book fan in me is excited about that too!
Dumbo – Another one of my favorite Disney animated films that I am cautiously optimistic about. From what we have seen, I am hyped! I am still super nervous about it though.
Frozen 2 – I loved Frozen, and so did my daughters. I am really looking forward to seeing Anna and Elsa’s stories continue!
Hellboy – Looking forward to this remake. Another one I am cautiously optimistic about.
Men In Black: International – I love that they made this a continuation and not a remake. Also, Thor and Valkeryie together again, how could you not be hyped?
The New Mutants – Some of my favorite comics turned in to a thriller? Sign me up!

From the moment I heard that Deadly Class was going to become a show on SyFy, I was thrilled. I knew it was based off a comic book, which I had not read, but had only heard good things about from my fellow comic book reading friends. Then I saw that the Russo Brothers were executive producers and I knew it was going be out of this world. Well, I watched the premiere episode last night and I was hooked instantly!
The Action Was Amazing
There was SO MUCH ACTION! Usually a pilot episode is filled with backstories and barely any action. Perhaps at the end of the episode to leave the audience wanting more, or right at the beginning to suck you in – but the Deadly Class pilot had action throughout. At one point, they cut to a comic book style animation and I was dead. Like right then I was like OK – I love this show. And I can’t wait for more.
Marcus
Marcus, a homeless orphan, is the main character, and I instantly fell in love with him. I feel for him. I want to know more about him. And I totally related to him partly as he entered Kings Dominion. There were lots of other characters that I am excited to get to know as well. But Marcus really shone, especially about half way through the episode. I don’t want to give anything away, but just know he might surprise you.
Another character I am also really intrigued by is Billy, who is sort of a skater punk misfit. I cannot wait to see where his story goes because I have a feeling he will be important. Marcus and Willie have a connection that pulled me in too.
Deadly Class Pulled Me In!
I am totally going to pick up all of the comic books now because I want to know more about these characters right now. I need to know their backstories and futures. Some people wouldn’t want to read ahead to see what happens but I do. After watching the first episode, I am even more excited about this show. I can’t wait to tune in all season.

Disney’s Artemis Fowl has inspired this delicious Pop Tart Milkshake recipe, even if it doesn’t look so delicious, it is!
As I am sure you know by now, the hit book series Artemis Fowl is soon to be a major motion picture from The Walt Disney Studios! Yea, I am super excited! This was one of my favorite series to read growing up, and I have now been introducing my seven year old to the series. We are on the third book and she is hooked – just like I was. To help celebrate the series, we made some Artemis Fowl inspired milkshakes together, and I am going to tell you how you can make them too.
The complete book series is now available with re-designed covers – and they are all AMAZING! Plus, another bonus. Each book includes a sneak peek of The Fowl Twins, a brand-new spinoff novel following the adventures of Artemis Fowl’s twin brothers. Yea, I am really excited to check it out!
Artemis Fowl Inspired Milkshake
If you have not yet read the series, you might not know this, but there is a place called Spuds’ Spud Emporium. And they don’t have the best food there. Something about the place is off. So in order to celebrate the upcoming release of Disney’s Artemis Fowl, I have created a milkshake recipe inspired by this series, and this restaurant. What is worse than a lumpy milkshake? Not much. Of course I could use curdled milk like I would imagine they would, but I decided not to.
In order to make this milkshake simply combine the ice cream and milk in a blender. Blend until nearly smooth and add in sprinkles. Blend for another 30 seconds or so and pour in to serving cup, stopping every so often to add in some crumbled pop tart. Split one of the Pop Tarts in half and stick in the top of the glass as a garnish. Top with whipped cream and sprinkles if desired. Serve them up with some blue cheese burgers for the full Spuds’ Spud Emporium feel!

2018 is coming to an end and it was a fantastic year for movies! 2019 looks like it will be just as good – if not better. As we close out the year, I wanted to share with you all my top 10 movies of 2018 (plus some honorable mentions). Now, I didn’t see every movie I was hoping to this year, but I saw a good amount. Avengers: Infinity War
It should come as no surprise to you that this is my favorite movie of 2018. Not only as a Marvel fan, but as a movie fan. To have that many main characters and keep the audience’s attention is really hard. We saw all of our favorite Marvel characters join forces to take on Thanos. I have seen this movie at least 30 times this year and I still love it. And I still cry like a baby. Available on digital, blu-ray, and DVD.
Isle of Dogs was so much fun for my whole family! We all loved this movie. I mean, Wes Anderson is brilliant. Something I really liked about this movie was that my girls could both enjoy it, even though they are just 5 and 7. There was nothing too bad in it, so it is a family film that EVERYONE will love! Available on digital, blu-ray, and DVD.
Ready Player One
Ready Player One is filled with so many amazing references for geeks. The whole movie was so great – the plot, the acting, and well – the whole thing. If you are a nerd like me, you need to see it. Available on digital, blu-ray, and DVD.
A Quiet Place
A Quiet Place is super creepy. I spent the entire movie on the edge of my seat, and loved every single second of it. Available on digital, blu-ray, and DVD.

As soon as A Simple Favor hit theaters, I had friends texting me, calling me, and just telling me I needed to see it. Anna Kendrick is one of the stars and she is a vlogger in the movie. I am sure that is one of the main reasons I had friends and family relating me to the movie, since I am a blogger/vlogger. But I am also a huge thriller and mystery movie fan, so this was right up my alley. I finally got to watch it and boy am I glad I did!
Anna Kendrick & Blake Lively
Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively make a great team in A Simple Favor. I immediately wanted to be friends with them – and started comparing their friendship to all of mine. Their chemistry in this movie is so great. At times they were friends, at times I wasn’t sure if they were going to make out, and at times I thought they might strangle each other. It really was great to see them on the big screen together, and I would love to do so again!
The Twist Was Great (Though Predictable)
There is a major twist in this movie and I did not see it coming. Of course my husband did. And he blurted it out. From that moment on I could tell that he was right. All the pieces of the puzzle were being put together to prove that. However, there were a couple other small twists that came out of the blue for both of us, which made me enjoy the movie more.
The Ending Was A Little Off
Now I admit, the first time I watched A Simple Favor, I totally loved it. It wasn’t until talking to some of my friends who watched it as well, that I realized I should re-watch the ending. When I did, I noticed it was a little off. There was a lot of out of place comedy – but it did not take away from the movie to me. I still really enjoy the film, so much so that is almost broke in to my top 10 favorite movies of 2018. It didn’t, but almost did.
Overall, I really enjoyed this film, and so did my husband. I am super excited that I received a copy of the book as well, and I cannot wait to dig in to it!
