Marvel just quietly released a ton of character posters for Avengers: Endgame, and they told us so much more than what you might think at first glance. These posters are split in to two groups – colored, and black and white. The black and white seem to be the Avengers who are no longer with us, and the colored poster are those that will be “Avenging the Fallen”. But there are some I was not expecting to see in a certain group (Shuri), and my heart is a little broken.
Those That Survived the Snap
I mentioned it in my breakdown of the Avengers: Endgame trailer, but these posters confirm it – looks like Wong, Happy, and Pepper Potts made it through the snap. We also learn that Valkyrie must have survived. This has me super excited because I adore her. Plus, the actress’ name is Tessa and us Tessas have to stick together! In all seriousness though, she is a bad a*sand I cannot wait to see her in Endgame.
The rest we knew made it through Infinity War, and I cannot wait to see them kick some serious butt in Avengers 4. I was hyped to see a poster for Captain Marvel, even though her end credit scene told us she would be a part of Endgame.
Those That Did Not Survive The Snap
The black and white posters are not only those that were dusted away, they are also those that were lost during the battle with Thanos – Gamora, Loki, and Vision. These three are ones that I fear may never come back. I am holding out hope that Gamora will be back in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, but I am unsure about the other two.
We didn’t know Shuri’s fate, although it was teased in the first Avengers: Endgame trailer when we see her on the missing list. But her being on a black and white poster, well, it seems like she was a victim of Thanos and the snap heard ’round the world.
Spider-Man still hits me hard. His death is one of my top 10 emotional moments in Infinity War, and even though I have seen the movie over 40 times now, I still cry as he disappears.

Artemis Fowl is a (really good) book series that Walt Disney Studios is adapting for the big screen. When I first heard this news, I was super excited. There are 8 Artemis Fowl books and I read most of them back in high school. I am now in the middle of re-reading them to hype myself up for this film. It hits theaters this August and I cannot wait to take my family to go see it. If you know nothing about this boy genius, you have come to the right place – because I am about to tell you all you need to know about Artemis Fowl.

Who is Artemis Fowl?
Artemis Fowl is a 12 year old boy whose father, Artemis Fowl the First, went missing and is presumed dead. Artemis is holding out hope that he will be found, and is doing whatever he can to aid in the search. Oh yea, and he runs a crime syndicate that he took over for his dad after he disappeared. Poor Artemis’ mother has gone crazy since her husband disappeared. She doesn’t recognize her son half the time, and doesn’t even sleep in her bedroom anymore.
We first meet Artemis when he is brokering a deal with a business man trying to find the location of a fairy. Within the first couple pages of the book, he has gotten the location and found the fairy in question – who is quite messed up, from consuming alcohol no less. It seems that alcohol and fairies don’t mix.
Artemis ends up trading an elixir to this fairy which will cleanse her body of the alcohol, in exchange for something he was never supposed to get his hands on – the Book. This book holds all the secrets of “The People” (more on that later) and is written in a language that Artemis cannot understand. He needs to decipher it, which shouldn’t be too hard for a boy genius who is running a crime organization. Right?

Who is Holly Short?
Captain Holly Short is the first female member of the Recon Squad (LEPrecon to be precise). This is an elite branch of the Lower Elements Police, with its headquarters in Haven City. Holly Short is also an elf. Because elves, goblins, trolls, centaurs, and all those mythical creatures you hear about – well they actually exist. But they don’t live among us. Not really. They live below us. “The People” as they call themselves, try to stay away from humans (or as they call us Mud Men) as best they can. Humans tend to mess things up and destroy things and well, they don’t like that.
Early on you learn that Holly hasn’t performed a ritual in some time. This ritual restores her magic and needs to be done every few years. This becomes a big part of the story later on. Holly is going to be played by Lara McDonnell who I know nothing about. She was in a few things, but nothing I have seen. Holly is older than Artemis (but I suppose she is also a fairy so she needs to be little..). I am interested in seeing how Disney goes about this since this actress seems to be about the same age as Ferdia Shaw, who is playing Artemis.

The Best Characters
All that I just told you? Well that is basically from just the first chapter of the first book. So you have so much more to look forward to in this movie. There are other amazing characters besides Artemis and Holly. Honestly, I think Foaly might be my favorite. Foaly is a centaur – you know, half man/half horse, and he is hilarious. He is super smart and runs all of the technical things for the LEPrecon division. He is extremely paranoid about humans – so much so that he wears a tin foil hat on his head to protect his thoughts.
Mulch Diggums is another fantastic character, which I have learned by checking out the Artemis Fowl IMDB page is being played by Josh Gad. This has me really excited as I think he is the perfect casting! Mulch is a dwarf who likes to steal things. He can also dig really fast by eating dirt (but don’t be behind him after he is done). A lot. He is a criminal and comes in to our story fairly early on – and pops in and out a few times.
Commander Root is Holly’s boss who is always on edge. He is a nice enough guy but he has a temper. He considers Holly a friend, even though he is rough on her. Butler is one of the most important people in the story. He works for Artemis – in fact, he was raised to work for the Fowl family. It is assumed that the term “butler” comes from his family and their commitment. He is a strong and powerful man, who does most of Artemis’ fighting for him. And he wholeheartedly trusts Artemis – and often does what he asks without asking for any reason why.
Will We Get A Full 8 Part Series?
I imagine that the story Disney is taking is just the first book, but hopefully we get a whole series out of it. There could easily be 8 films just like the Harry Potter series and yea, that would make me really happy. The first book is a great set up for so many crazy things. It is basically an origin story for Artemis, Holly, and the rest of the crew. Of course we are introduced to others throughout the entire series.
Differences You Will See From The Book
First thing I noticed was that Commander Root, one of my favorite characters, was played by Judi Dench. I adore her, so that wasn’t the issue. The thing I found interesting is that Commander Root is a male in the books. Not a huge deal, I am sure she will actually play this role really well, but something that might irk those that are big fans of the books.
I assume that Disney will cut out the drunken fairy part, and have Artemis discover the book another way. But I sure would love to see it done that way. I am also really hoping they don’t create some kind of love thing between Holly and Artemis as they are not only different species, but she is actually much older than him.
Other than that, I am truly hoping it is pretty spot on. We did see Artemis with a weapon in the teaser trailer which, well, I don’t recall him ever doing in the first book. His weapon is his mind. But if pressed in to a dangerous situation, I could see him using one. Either way, I think I will really enjoy this movie. And I can’t wait to go see it!

Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger hooked me right from the first episode last season. One of my favorite things about it was the music, it was just so… perfect. Which was something I brought up in my interview with the cast and crew of Cloak and Dagger last year. They let me know that this is very planned out, which is obvious. Well, season two of this show is coming soon, but I was sent a press screener of the first two episodes and WOW! I was right back in it with Tandy and Tyrone – and loving this show! They pick right back up where we left off.
I am going to keep all major plot points out of this review, but I will let you know where we see our favorite characters. I’m HYPED to see more of this season – I am two episodes in and cannot wait for more. I have a feeling it might even be better than last season, which would be hard to beat.
The episode starts off with Tandy back in ballet. She is going to group therapy sessions with her mom, and they seem to really be bonding. The first half of the show and it seems like Tandy is doing really, really good. In the last season, she exposed Roxxon and it has given her confidence. But is this just an appearance she is keeping up? Time will tell….

Tyrone
If you remember, Tyrone has been blamed for murder, is being hunted by the cops, and had to flee his home. Cloak and Dagger Season 2 starts off with him hiding in the church (the one that Tandy was living in before). He seems down on himself but he is doing some good. Tyrone has been practicing his transporting skills and has been going to check on his family, but from afar. He has also been hunting down drug runners. Turning in what he finds to, you guessed it, Detective Brigid O’Reilly.

Brigid O’Reilly (Mayhem)
At the very end of Cloak and Dagger Season 1, we saw Brigid O’Reilly come out of the water after she had been shot. We had assumed she was dead because, well, she really took a beating. We can only assume those waters that were filled with pollution from Roxxon changed her. They created Mayhem, who in the comic books is a major Cloak and Dagger character. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. In the premiere of season 2 we see her back in action. Well, sort of. She is practicing in a shooting range and states that she has full rotation back in her shoulder. She seems normal. But we all know she isn’t.

Now living very different lives, Tyrone and Tandy try to stay under the wire while still honing their powers. After coming to terms with their destiny, the two now find it difficult to just stand by and do nothing while bad things continue to happen throughout the city. Ingredients
Philly Steak
1.5 lbs of beef
1 Bell Pepper (chopped)
1/4 Onion (chopped)
6 Slices of deli purchased cheese (we use Sharp White Cheddar)
1/2 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcester Sauce
Salt & Pepper to taste
90 Second Bread
1 tablespoon coconut flour
1 1/4 tablespoon butter, melted
1 egg
1 teaspoon sour cream
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon cheddar cheese, grated
Directions
Philly Steak
Brown beef in pan.
Add chopped peppers and onions.
Stir for 2 to 3 minutes and add beef broth and Worcester Sauce.
Stir until well mixed and broth is gone.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Lay cheese slices on top and melt.
90 Second Keto Bread
Melt butter in a microwave safe bowl.
Add the rest of the ingredients and whisk together until combined.
Cook in the microwave for 90 seconds.
Remove from the microwave and allow to cool for a minute or two.
Cut bread in half like a bun (each side will be thin).
Servings: Makes 2 to 3 servings. Carbs: 4 carbs Prep Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Game of Thrones Season 8 hits HBO on April 14th and I am so excited that it is finally next month! I have been watching this show since it first started, and yes, I read the Game of Thrones books too (still waiting for the next one George…). In order to celebrate the premiere, I am totally throwing a viewing party with my friends. One of the foods I will be serving are these Game of Thrones inspired dragon eggs (deviled eggs). Enjoy!
Ingredients
2 Dozen Eggs
1 cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoons mustard
salt
pepper
paprika
purple and blue food coloring
1 tsp vinegar
1/2 cup hot tap water
Directions:
Place eggs in a pot of water and heat on medium.
Once the water starts to boil, set a timer for 12 minutes.
Remove eggs when the timer goes off and immediately place in a bowl of ice water.
Leave sitting for 5 minutes before peeling.
Peel the eggs and cut in half lengthwise, removing the yolk.
Make Egg Dye: combine 1 tsp vinegar, 20 drops each food coloring, 1/2 cup hot tap water
Dip them until you get the color you want.
To drain the dye, place them hole side down for 5-10 minutes.
Pat dry with paper towel.
In the bowl containing the yolks, add mayonnaise, mustard, and salt and pepper.

After streaming the first episode of SyFy’s Deadly Class before it even aired, I was instantly hooked (just check out my Deadly Class review of episode one). I knew immediately that this show was right up my alley. First of all, it is based on a comic book, and you know how much I love my comic books. Second, it is filled with action. And not just any action. Gory action. There is also bad language, and inappropriate situations. Plus the Russo Brothers are Executive Producers, so I knew it was going to only get better. I was hooked all season long, and the finale just left me begging for more.
One of my favorite things about this show is that when things got too crazy, or too graphic, or the Russos just felt like doing it, it would slip in to an animated scene. But not just any kind of animated, oh no, I felt like I was inside of the pages of the comics. Which, for the record, I ordered the first three volumes of immediately after watching the first episode. I still can’t get over how much this show is like the comics, which rarely happens.

So Much Blood
My favorite part about the finale? There was so much blood. So much action. So much….awesome. The moment it ended I could have screamed for more. I loved seeing Lin and his daughter team up to take on the crazy Mexican Cartel. That was one of the highlights of the episode for me. Of course, the crew battling the hillbillies in the house was pretty epic too (when that guy BLEW UP – amazingly disgusting).
I also rather enjoyed the tension between Maria and Saya. I mean, Maria was TOTALLY going to let Saya get murdered at one point because she was mad she slept with Marcus. Not that I don’t get it. I do. But that might be going a little far Maria. The girl is crazy. Which I suppose is one of the reasons I love her so much.

The Ending
Clearly we need a season 2. I need to know if Lex died after the cartel shot him? Geesh I hope not. But Marcus and Maria walking out of the house, while holding Chico’s head, and bumping right in to his dad certainly didn’t help the whole situation. Sure, we got rid of Chester (F*ckFace) in perfect fashion. He had been abusing dogs for years, it was only right that one turned on him and killed him. Although I admit I saw that coming when his captive told Marcus the dogs didn’t like him much.
And my heart is breaking for Lin. Having his sister take his daughter away. He has been hurt badly but will he die? Perhaps not. Oh and I totally want Petra and Billy together because they are adorable.

Season Two
Has Deadly Class been renewed for a second season yet? Well, not as I type this. But man I hope it is. I need more Marcus, Maria, Billy, Saya, and the rest of these misfits in my life. Yea, I am going to be ordering more of the comics to read while I wait for this to return (because it has to or I riot – Deadly Class style). As I said above, this show follows the comics closely, so I will be getting my fix that way.
John Wick Chapter 3 just got a second trailer – and it looks amazing! There is so much action. I admit, I have not seen the first two, but I have been planning to for a while. There are so many movies and television shows out there that I find it hard to choose what to watch and what not to watch. All that being said, after watching the first John Wick 3 trailer, I became extremely interested. I love me some Keanu Reeves, and I also love action movies. So this seems like a trilogy that is right up my alley.
My Reaction
I kind of adore Laurence Fishburne. Ever since I interviewed Laurence for Ant-Man and The Wasp and he revealed his inner nerd, he has been one of my all time favorites. I mean, I was in the room with a legend guys and he just wanted to geek out about comic books (Marvel and DC). Yea, he is that cool.
This movie seriously looks like it packed with action, which is what I love. That motorcycle scene though! Am I right? Yea, I totally need to watch the first two before May. I just might watch the first one this weekend if I find the time…

One of my favorite animated television shows when I was younger was Kim Possible. I just loved seeing a young girl be a secret agent spy. It was so much fun to watch and I fell in love with the characters. So when I heard that Disney was releasing a live action version of this show, I was thrilled. Of course my family tuned in to see it air on The Disney Channel, and we loved it! Disney sent us an advance copy of the Kim Possible DVD home release – and we watched it right away.
This movie is something that fans of the original series are sure to love! The cast is great and they really channeled the characters that I know and love. I was excited to share Kim Possible with my daughters, and they are now watching the animated television show after seeing this!
