I took my daughters to go see Ratchet & Clank when it was in theaters. My husband and I grew up playing the video games and so we were really looking forward to this movie. We all loved it (read my review here) and I highly recommend it for those of you that are long time fans – or even new ones! My 5 year old says it is one of her favorite movies now. I was so thrilled to be a part of the HP Millenial Influencer Panel this year. I have been working on my home office at my new home and am super excited to test out some products that will help my save time, space, and money! The printer I had before my new HP one arrived was huge – and I mean HUGE! It took up so much space in my office and I just hated looking at it. Another issue was that because it was so old, I had to constantly reconnect it to the internet. Whenever the power went out, I had to go through the entire reconnection process again. I have been loving my new HP Deskjet because it does all of the same things my monster of a printer did – print, scan, copy – at a fraction of the size. Oh, and the best part, I can connect it to my phone through an app, and then I can print from pretty much anywhere – without a network. I still can’t believe I have all this at my fingertips.

Starting school is a tough time for kids – and parents as well. My daughter has been going to preschool for two years (one year was a pre-preschool program) but I am not ready for her to be gone all day long. We are used to 2.5 hours a day – not 6.5 – which is what she will be doing at Kindergarten this year. I have been spending as much time as possible with her this summer since I know the first few months of school will be busy and I just won’t be getting the time with her I am used to. Thanks to Peppa Pig, I have some great tips to share with my daughter about starting school. Hopefully they will help calm her nerves and create fun times at school and not just nervous ones.

Thanks to Fox Home Entertainment Insiders, we were able to host a Peppa Pig Pack Up For School Party! We were sent Peppa Pig coloring books, crayons, Peppa Pig Sunny Vacation DVD, Peppa’s School Day book, Sandwich Bags, Lunch Boxes, Notebooks, and even Peppa and George plushes! These items were just what my daughter needed to get excited for school. I have sensed that she has been nervous (honestly, some of my nervousness is probably rubbing off on her). She has told me that she cannot wait to help me pack lunches using her Peppa Pig box – and she is excited to show it to everyone at her new school.

The coloring books that we got are awesome. They come with twist crayons and my daughters loved coloring in them. There is even a full page of stickers! I plan to make coloring a page an after school routine for my daughter to help her unwind when she gets home before she starts her homework. We had some friends over to help us celebrate Back to School with Peppa Pig and I set up the front table with their goodies. We then watched a few of the peppisodes that are on the new Peppa Pig Sunny Vacation DVD. The rest of the time was spent coloring and checking out the other stuff we were given.

I still can’t believe that my baby girl will be off to Kindergarten in just a few short weeks! If you have a little one that is off to school in the fall, print out these fun Peppa Pig activity pages to get them ready (and to spend just a little bit more one on one time with them).

Tips to Make Your Child Love their Lunch

As most of you know, I have two young children – ages 3 and 5. This year, my oldest will be off to school full time, while my youngest will be starting half days at a local center to get her ready for Preschool. I have been stressing already about this decision. It is going to be strange without any kids in the house for a few hours in the morning – and one that will not be home until after 3pm! On top of my emotional breakdown, I am also dealing with the stress of things that I have to get done to ready for back to school time. Last year my oldest daughter was in Preschool, but that was only for a couple of hours a day – and I didn’t have to worry about packing a lunch. This year I start having to do that, and I want to make the right choices for her – the healthy choices. I want her lunch to be fun and exciting for her, but I also want to pack it with nutritious, wholesome snacks and not junk. Ever since I got a limited sneak peak of Disney’s Moana at the D23 Expo last year, I have really been looking forward to this film. I know that it is going to be huge. I have watched the teaser trailer over and over with my daughters – and we couldn’t be more excited about it. They keep asking when we will get to see the movie, and I promised them that I will take them to the theater on Thanksgiving to see it. This new TV spot is incredible – in it we learn a little bit more about Moana and Maui.

When my husband and I took our daughters to go see Ice Age: Collision Course recently, we saw a trailer that caught our eye. OK, mostly the eyes of our girls (ages 3 and 5) but I chuckled at a few things. The movie is called The Wild Life and it hits theaters everywhere on September 9. We are planning to take our girls to see it in the theater since they already asked us several times to watch the trailer again.

Hey everyone! I went to see Suicide Squad opening weekend and did a quick video review for you. I wanted to get into more detail about my thoughts. If you follow me on Snapchat and Twitter, then you probably saw my initial reaction.

Suicide Squad hits theaters everywhere today, and I could not be anymore excited! It is well known that I am a Marvel girl, through and through – but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate DC Comics (some of them anyways). I have four DC Comics characters that I can use the word love when describing how I feel about them. They are (in no particular order) Poison Ivy, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Joker. I don’t know why, but I just adore Harley and Joker’s relationship. It is creepy, often one-sided, and a little bit psychotic – OK, a lot psychotic. I cannot wait to see how it is portrayed in Suicide Squad this weekend.

You might recall when I featured my Hawkeye Bleacher Creature (who still sleeps with me every night, I might add) and I am thrilled to let you know there is now a Suicide Squad Collection! That’s right, you can now own Harley Quinn, Joker, Deadshot, and Katana Bleacher Creatures because they joined forces with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC Entertainment! These are amazing – and that is putting it lightly. They are based off of the movie versions of these characters and the details are incredible. They look just like their respective characters.

Suicide Squad

My daughters are a little bit young to come with my husband and I to see this movie (3 and 5 years old) but that doesn’t mean I can’t introduce them to the characters that I love. I told my 5 year old she could pick one of these Suicide Squad Bleacher Creatures to keep in her room (but not Joker or Harley, of course) and she went with Katana. I have let her play with them all on occasion, but Joker and Harley usually hang out in my room with Hawkeye.

If you pick up any merchandise for the film, these need to be it. I am a total nerd and am proud to have them on display in my home! They are extremely well made, extremely detailed, and extremely amazing! Any fan of the film and the characters will be happy to own these – grab them here for less than $20 each! But guess what, that’s not all! Suicide Squad Series 2 Bleacher Creatures will be available at www.bleachercreatures.com on October 15th, just in time for the holidays, and will include Captain Boomerang, Prison Harley Quinn, Tuxedo Joker, and Deadshot with no mask.

Pick Up Underdogs on DVD: A Fun Family Film

My daughters and I love to watch movies. At least 3 or 4 times a week, we cuddle up and put one on. And every Sunday we have family movie night where we choose a movie to watch with the whole family. They are 3 and 5 years old and I know that these days will be gone all too soon, so I take advantage of them. Recently, a movie called Underdogs came in the mail. As soon as my 5 year old saw the cover, she asked if we could watch it. Once I saw the cast list, I was just as excited as her – I am a huge fan of Matthew Morrison and Nicholas Hoult.

I was honestly surprised at home great the movie was. I really enjoyed watching it, and so did both my daughters. My 3 year old is not the best at staying put through a whole movie and she usually wonders off about an hour in to go play. But not with Underdogs! She sat and watched the whole thing with us. Overall, the movie is quite entertaining – and a great family film!
