Captain Marvel Inspired Recipes from DOLE® + Movie Ticket Giveaway!

Captain Marvel is taking the world by storm – rightfully so. Higher. Further. Faster. is Carol Danver’s motto, which she uses to encourage girls and women everywhere to be their best selves. I have two young daughters and I want more than anything to see them succeed in life. I also want them to be their healthiest selves, so I was thrilled when DOLE teamed up with Marvel for the Powering the Hero Within campaign. It is one of the many reasons we love their products.

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse T-Shirt Activity & Blu-ray Giveaway

I called Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse the best animated film of all time, and I stand by that. My family and I saw it in theaters opening weekend and we loved it. So much more so than we could have ever imagined. The animation style is like nothing that has ever been done before and I felt like I was inside of a comic book. Spider-Verse is finally coming home on March 19th, and I received a super awesome package from Sony to celebrate. The better news? You can win one for yourself!

What We Saw In The BRAND NEW Avengers: Endgame Trailer! (+ My Reaction!)

AHHHHHH!!!!!!! You guys!!! This morning we got a surprise trailer – the second Avengers: Endgame trailer – and I have so much to say about it. Tony Stark is back on Earth and with the team! Poor Scott Lang is super confused, but back from the Quantum Realm. Hawkweye’s family is growing up so what sent him down a dark path to become Ronin? Rocket has found a new shoulder to perch on, and Thor + Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) = LOVE!

Giveaways Echo Dot Kids Edition Laughing

Celebrate National Reading Month with an Amazon Echo Dot Kids Edition!

Education is very important in our household. I don’t mean to be biased but my daughters are both very smart. They are 6 and 7 years old and have nearly perfect report cards. They both really enjoy reading, my youngest so much so that in Preschool she opted out of nap time to read with her teacher more. I have been completely blown away by how much our Amazon Echo Dot Kids Edition has helped my girls with their reading. Not only can they have stories read to them, but they can play educational learning games as well.

Celebrate International Women’s Day with a She-Ra Party!

Something I have always thought was very important is female empowerment. I have two young daughters and my husband and I have worked hard to show them that they are strong and can do anything they want to do. One show that really reinforces this is She-Ra and the Princesses of Power from DreamWorks Animation on Netflix. It is They both fell in love with it from the moment we started watching it. This show is so great for young girls because they see that females can be the heroes. I decided to put together a party to celebrate International Women’s Day (March 8th) for my girls and a few of their friends. Of course our theme centered around She-Ra and the other Princesses.

Captain Marvel Is Not “Just A Girl”: My Spoiler Free Review

Last night I finally was able to see Captain Marvel in theaters. I felt like I had been waiting way too long to see it, probably because I was on the set a year ago. As a big fan of Carol Danvers in the comics, sure there were some changes. Two in particular upset me at first (but that is for another post), however it all came together and made sense in the end. This was the first Marvel movie my daughters, ages 6 and 7, saw in theaters, and now they are begging for more! We all really enjoyed the film, from beginning to end.

Behind The Scenes: My Day On The Set of Captain Marvel | #CaptainMarvel

While I was in town for the Avengers: Infinity War World Premiere, I also got to do something amazing. The afternoon before the premiere we were brought to the set of Captain Marvel. Yes, CAPTAIN MARVEL! While there I got a behind the scenes look at so many things. I saw some of the props used, browsed the costume trailer, chatted with executive producer Jonathan Schwartz, and even watch a scene being filmed. I am pretty sure that my face was in a permasmile the entire day as I took it all in.
