One of my favorite shows when I was younger was Power Rangers. I may or may not have played Power Rangers with my friends and family every chance I got. I even recall being glued to the TV and crying during certain episodes. Now that I have kids of my own, I am excited that there are Power Rangers shows for them. Because of this my whole family was really excited to see Saban’s Power Rangers when it came out. My daughter and 4 and 6, so we decided to watch it with only the 6 year old, and it was a hit!

We are Disney fanatics in our home and have really been looking forward to see Cars 3. On opening weekend, we decided to go see it, and are very glad we did. My husband and I really enjoyed the movie and thought it shared a great lesson for kids and society in general. However, our girls were maybe a tad young (and tired) for it – they are 4 and (just turning) 6. I do think this is still a must see movie, but for the younger kids, perhaps waiting until it is on DVD and Disney Movies Anywhere is best.

My husband and I rarely get a date night so we are very particular about the movies we choose to see in the theaters. The House, which stars Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler, is one of those movies. From the first time we saw the trailer we knew this was a “must see in theaters” type of movie. It looks hilarious and right up our alley, not to mention the entire cast is filled with our favorite actors.

As I am sure many of you know by now, I am a HUGE Marvel fanatic. I collect the comic books, I collect the toys, I collect the movies – and I even have a few Marvel related tattoos. So I was thrilled to hear today that Sony Music announced the release of SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) featuring the music of Grammy® and Academy Award®-winning composer Michael Giacchino. The soundtrack will be released on July 7 and is available for pre-order here.

We are a family that loves to play games. In fact, many nights and days are spent around the dining room table playing board games. Playing games as a family at least a few times a week is something that I grew up doing and feel is very important to continue with my daughters. The Smiths are also huge fans of the Despicable Me and Minions movies. My girls flip over the little yellow guys, and my husband and I enjoy the fact that this a franchise we laugh at while watching too. Hasbro has recently released some Despicable Me 3 themed games in celebration of the new movie which hits theaters later this month!

The Live Action Beauty and the Beast is one of my new favorite Disney films. I adored the original, which made me quite nervous about this one, but I was pleased it. And who knew Dan Stevens could sing am I right? This movie just hit stores everywhere this past week and in order to celebrate, we threw another Disney Movie Night Under the Stars! We went all out, Beauty and the Beast style, and you can too (I promise, it is really easy).

You all know what a big Marvel fan I am, so of course, I am really looking forward to Marvel’s Black Panther, which hits theaters February 2018. Today Marvel released the poster and I was in awe of it instantly. Chadwick Boseman looks amazing as T’Challa sitting on the throne. He looks very heroic and very true to his character in the comics, which makes me happy. We saw a little bit of him in Captain America: Civil War, but not nearly enough.

Who doesn’t love a good Disney•Pixar movie? I know I do. Some of my all time favorite movies are Pixar – Cars, Toy Story, & Inside Out. I can always count on them to make me cry. You still can’t say Bing Bong in my presence without me shedding a few tears and don’t even get me started on the end of Toy Story 3. So whenever a new trailer for one of their movies comes out, I am sure to start stocking up on tissues. COCO is one that I have been looking forward to since I heard about it at the Animation Panel at D23 two years ago.

I am a sucker for a good chick flick, and that is just what A United Kingdom is. I was excited to have a couple of gal pals over for a Sunday Brunch to watch it with me. I prepared some orange juice (and one of us had a mimosa but I won’t tattle on who it was) and some popcorn. We all really enjoyed the movie and all three of us shed a few tears. It is a touching film about love and overcoming obstacles.

Bambi has always been one of my absolute favorite Disney movies. I watched it many times growing up with my mom and sister – so naturally I was thrilled to be able to do it with my young daughters now. In order to help celebrate the 75th anniversary release of Bambi, we had a movie night under the stars! Now, we have family movie night every weekend, but this one was special. We even cuddled up outside with our pet bunny while watching, and just for the night, his name was Thumper instead of Riley.
