Beauty and the Beast has always been one of my favorite Disney movies – if not my favorite. I grew up watching it over and over. Belle was my favorite princess when I was younger, likely because I could always be found with my nose in a book too. Because of my love for this film, my daughters love it too. We have watched it many times and so naturally we were very excited to hear that Disney was making a Beauty and the Beast Live Action film.

My husband loves the original Newsies movie. So when we found out about Disney’s Newsies The Musical coming to Disney Movies Anywhere, we knew it was something we wanted to see. We were super thankful to be sent, not only a digital copy of the movie, but a family movie night kit to throw a great Newsies viewing party! It was a total blast watching the movie and celebrating in true Newsies fashion. I never dreamed my 4 and 5 year old would enjoy it as much as they did but they just loved the music!

If you are a fan of the Guardians of the Galaxy films, take it from a comic book nerd like me, there are some books you just HAVE to read. If you want some great movie tie-ins and backgrounds on your favorite characters, these are the ones for you. Ideally, I would love to convince you all to go to your local comic book shop or look online and pick up every single issue that any of the Guardians appear in – but that is asking A LOT, I know. So I put together 5 of my favorite comic books (OK, a few are trade paperbacks) that any Marvel Cinematic Universe fan should pick up.

My daughters and 4 and 5 and they have been dying to see Rock Dog. We missed it in theaters because we happened to have a lot going on that month. We have a small theater in town and they actually only had it playing there for 2 weeks. I have been promising that we would watch it as soon as it came out on Blu-ray. Lucky for them (and me!) we were able to get an advance copy from Lionsgate – and it made their day! I mean, just look at those happy faces!

From the moment we saw the first trailer for The Space Between Us, my husband and I were very excited to see it. It looked like it would be very interesting. We love space related movies and shows – The Expanse is one of our favorite shows and this sort of reminded us of it. What seemed like a great story, a boy born on Mars whose body cannot survive the Earth’s atmosphere, was even better than both of us expected.

My girls are HUGE Cars fans. We have seen the first two films more times than I can count. My whole family is really excited for Cars 3 and are counting the days until June 16th! It comes out right before my oldest daughter’s 6th birthday so we plan to take her and a couple friends to see it. We have been watching the teasers and the new trailer for it over and over and getting excited. Whenever we go to Disney World, we always have to visit Lightning McQueen and Mater! If we don’t we would never hear the end of it from the girls!

One of the funniest interviews of the day was our first interview of the day – Michael Rooker (Yondu) and Sean Gunn (Kraglin) in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2. These two play a couple of Ravagers and work more closely together than you might think. They had us in stitches nearly the whole interview making it one of my favorites of the day. Apparently Michael Rooker feels the same way because he ended the interview saying some very things to us, “This is the best, this is the pinnacle of all the interviews that we have done. Oh, I could totally do this all day.”

As I am sure you all know by now, I am a total Marvel Fan Girl. I have been reading the comics since I was a little girl so when the MCU started, I was more than excited. My favorite characters were coming to life, and boy did Marvel Studios know how to do it right. So when I got the interview list for the Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 event and saw not only James Gunn on it, but Kevin Fiege too, my heart almost exploded. I wasn’t sure I would be able to get words to come out of my mouth being in the same room as these two geniuses. But what happened after the interview was one of the best moments of my life – more on that later.

When I first interviewed Kurt Russell on the set of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2, I couldn’t believe I was talking with a movie legend. Because that is what he is, a legend. Then when I discovered I would have the chance to do it again, I was blown away. Let me start off by telling you what a gentleman he is. The interview was set up with a table in the front and 5 rows of 5 chairs. Kurt insisted on standing instead of sitting so that he could see all of us while we talked. I mean, who does that? What a great guy.
