Fans of All Ages Will Love Saban’s Power Rangers – Out 6/27

One of my favorite shows when I was younger was Power Rangers. I may or may not have played Power Rangers with my friends and family every chance I got. I even recall being glued to the TV and crying during certain episodes. Now that I have kids of my own, I am excited that there are Power Rangers shows for them. Because of this my whole family was really excited to see Saban’s Power Rangers when it came out. My daughter and 4 and 6, so we decided to watch it with only the 6 year old, and it was a hit!

This action-packed, coming of age film is available to take home on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand June 27 from Lionsgate. As part of the 24-year-old global phenomenon and based on the five Rangers from the original TV series, “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,”, the reimagined movie features a modern generation of Rangers as they attempt to stop the evil and unpredictable Rita Repulsa from destroying their city – and ultimately the world.

I admit, I was afraid this might be a tad bit to violent for my daughter, but she didn’t even bat an eye. I had some serious nostalgia watching it, and it held up to someone who has been a fan since the beginning. That says a lot. Whether you have been a fan for a while, or are just now getting into Power Rangers, you are sure to love this movie.

Synopsis

The epic adventure, Saban’s Power Rangers, follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, the unlikely group of teenage heroes are the only ones who can save the planet. But first, they have to band together in order to harness their super powers and become Power Rangers.
