When Colton was first announced as this year’s The Bachelor, I was less than thrilled. After watching him, not only on Becca’s season, but on Bachelor in Paradise, I just felt like he wasn’t ready. It has nothing to do with his age, I was married at age 25. But everything to do with how he treated Tia. Perhaps he really did fall in love with Becca, but he was confused about Tia because of it. I just hope he has matured since then. I have seen the first episode of The Bachelor already, and I am cautiously optimistic.
From the moment I heard that Deadly Class was going to become a show on SyFy, I was thrilled. I knew it was based off a comic book, which I had not read, but had only heard good things about from my fellow comic book reading friends. Then I saw that the Russo Brothers were executive producers and I knew it was going be out of this world. Well, I watched the premiere episode last night and I was hooked instantly!
There is nothing my kids and I love more than binging a series on Netflix. Pretty much gone are the days of having to wait for your favorite show to return each week. My girls will never understand that struggle! One show we are all really excited about as a family is 3Below: Tales of Arcadia. We enjoyed Trollhunters and found out that this is a spin-off so you know we have been counting the days!
Single Parents is easily one of the funniest new shows on television. From the first episode, I was totally hooked! The fact that they have an amazing ensemble of main cast members certainly helps. While in LA recently, I was so excited to have the opportunity to check out the Single Parents set, and get a tour from the executive producer Jason Winer and actor Jake Choi (who plays Miggy). It was so cool to be on the set of a show I watch religiously!
The Rookie is hands down one of my favorite new ABC TV shows, so when I found out that during the #RalphBreaksTheInternetEvent I would be checking out the set, I was thrilled! This may come as a surprise to you but as a total geek, I am a huge Nathan Fillion (who plays John Nolan in The Rookie) fan. Firefly anyone? Plus Castle was just…amazing! We were warned that we might not see him on set, but that we would be getting a set tour from Mercedes Mason (who plays Zoe Andersen), who I also adore. I loved her in Fear The Walking Dead but I had no idea how much fun she was. I discovered almost immediately she is snarky and loves pranks – my kind of girl!
My daughters love the movie Trolls, so when the Netflix show started, they binged it over and over. We have had many family nights where we watch several episodes. I have to admit, the series is a great follow up to the movie. My husband and I even enjoy watching it with the girls. There is humor and lessons to be learned as well. Season 4 is coming to Netflix on November 2nd, and we are so excited to celebrate – Trolls style!

If you have been checking my site out for a while now, than you know my young daughters love the Disney Junior show PJ Masks. Oh, sorry, they LOVE PJ Masks. My youngest has a backpack, lunchbox, and tons of clothes that are themed with that show. She even had a PJ Masks birthday party one year (and asks to again every year since!). So when a giant box filled with PJ Masks Halloween goodies showed up at our door, she screamed and ran around in circles. I totally wish I had it on video.
My seven year old daughter has been watching (and playing) Skylanders for a few years now. So when I said I was making a Fortnite Drift Pumpkin for a segment on The Geekly Show, she told me she wanted to make a Skylanders one. After a few minutes debating who to make, she settled on Kaos because, well, he is bald. That was her number one reason. So here is some DIY step by step on how to make your own Kaos Skylanders Pumpkin!
My entire family has been watching Star Vs. The Forces of Evil since the first episode aired on DisneyXD. It hooked us right away, and it is something we always look forward to watching together. My young daughters were even Star Butterfly and Ludo for Halloween two years ago. The show literally gets better and better with each episode. We were thrilled to not only discover Disney was putting out The Magic Book of Spells, but especially to have one arrive on our doorstep (thank you Disney Book Group!!).
