Alright guys, you know I am a huge gamer. Hopefully you have read my Disney Infinity 3.0 review that I posted not too long ago. I’m still loving this game and playing it nearly every day. It is so much fun and they keep introducing more and more amazing Disney characters – not to mention all the Star Wars characters! I can’t wait to add spot from the good dinosaur to my collection. Maybe, I have even inspired you to purchase this game.

If I have, or even if you already have this game or are purchasing it for someone for a gift this holiday season, don’t forget the PowerA Disney Infinity accessories. These are a must have if you are a Disney infinity fan. They have a case that is super convenient for storage as well as for taking your Disney infinity characters on the road with you. I know when I go to play at a friends house I like to take some of my characters with me that they don’t have and this is perfect for it. This case is fantastic! It comes with a strap so you can easily carry it over your shoulder. There is also a built in slot for you to slide your game base in – as well as a few slots for power discs. This would be great to take along to a friend’s house who doesn’t have the game as well. Star Wars: The Force Awakens World Premiere Photos

Earlier this week was the World Premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I would have given anything to be at the Dolby, El Capitan, or the TCL Theaters that night – but alas, I have settled for seeing the movie this afternoon. I was told that this premiere was bigger than the Oscars and there were hundreds of celebrities there to see it. The red carpet was even streamed live on StarWars.com! In case you live under a rock and know nothing about this film, below are the trailer and the synopsis. After that, are some of my favorite photos from the premiere. There were literally hundreds to look through so it was hard to choose my favorites – and I did not want to overwhelm you guys. Oh, and after I see the film later today, I will be sure to post a spoiler free review for you guys. As someone who grew up on Star Wars and am now passing the love on to my girls, I am really looking forward to seeing it!

My Must Have Holiday Travel Items

I know a lot of people travel during the holiday. We do too, about 30 minutes away, but far enough away that I need to have the right items with me. There is no driving home to get something I forgot, that is for sure! This holiday season, I am packing up my wristlet with several of my go-to items – most of which I just discovered this year! If you have not found out about these items yet – be sure to check them out!

I have two young daughters and so it seems like someone in our family is constantly battling the sniffles! Thanks to Kleenex (read about the new Disney themed ones here) we can keep the boogers at bay! Nothing ruins a great family photo like a dripping nose (Gross, I know, but true!). My daughters are also very notorious for getting cuts and scrapes. They have mostly boy cousins so they can rough house with the best of them – but that means I must have BandAids on hand for all family get togethers. I also carry some Remedy spray so that I can disinfect those cuts as soon as they happen and stop infection. Aleve is my favorite over-the-counter-headache-reducer so I have some with me at all times. Of course a pen, Carmex lip balm, and some sunglasses are important to have on hand as well. I always like to enjoy a hot cup of coffee after dessert with my family, but rarely do they have the creamer I like. So I am always sure to have my Nestle CoffeeMate2Go with me – French Vanilla flavor of course – so that I don’t have to choke down some coffee without it!

And most importantly – my Downy Wrinkle Releaser Plus! I was raised that you always dress up for the holidays. But wearing a nice dress and then driving for 30 minutes in it, ensures that I will be showing up with wrinkles. My husband is an engineer by trade so he is really big in to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) learning. He thinks that these are all very important things for kids to start learning early on, and I have to agree with him. We are always doing little experiments with our young daughters and will continue to do so as they get older. They tend to really take to these types of projects when they involve characters that they already know and love – like the cast of Frozen. So of course we just had to get the Disney Imagicademy Frozen Science Activity Book from Wonder Forge for them. Now, this does state it is before for kids ages 4 and up, and I tend to agree. Although my 3 year old can do some of the things herself, and loves to help out best she can with others!

I must say that this book and the activities inside have already given us hours of learning fun, and I know there will be a lot more. As a family, we really love it. I like that it comes with a small carrying case that can be used for all of the extras that it comes with – like the stickers and colored pencils – and easily clips on to the book. I think it would make a great gift for any little one this holiday season. You all know how much I love Star Wars. I am so excited about this new movie (and the coloring and activity sheets I just received) that I had to log on here and share them with you on the eve of my move. Yup, tomorrow I head to a new home (just 20 minutes away) and the entire house is packed up – but I just had to make sure you guys got these amazing sheets ASAP. My husband and I have had our tickets to see The Force Awakens for quite some time now. Since Fandango broke the internet during Monday Night Football to be exact. I grew up watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. My sister and I loved the TV Show, the movies, and we had all of the action figures. You better believe that I love the fact that my young daughters are now just as into TMNT as I was (and OK still am). The second I found out there was a subscription box called TMNT Box – I knew it was something that I needed to get to share with my girls. For just $19.99 a month, you will receive a box with over $40 retail value of amazing Ninja Turtle items! I am talking toys, clothing, and yes – even POP Funko Figures!

Now when my daughter opened up her box (you can see the unboxing video below) and I spotted that POP Figure, I knew it was mine. I have a collection and the Foot Soldier that she received will be joining it. She is OK with that because practically everything else will be hers (and her sisters). She was so excited about the shirt that she received that she just had to wear it the next day. We went to Santa and sure enough, she is rocking her TMNT shirt in the photo with him. And I am totally OK with that. There were also two pairs of “big girl” socks as she calls them. They are totally for mommy and I am super thrilled about it. I wore them to a family party and got several compliments on them actually. And my 4 year old is sure to ask me if she can wear them when she is a grown up nearly every day – and I tell her of course she can.

Inside the box was also a Fish Face T-Machines Vehicle, which was a great addition to our TMNT T-Machines Playset that we have. We have lots of the cars, but not this one, so the girls were excited to check him out and play with him. The last thing that came in our box was a Donatello Bath Squirter. He has been the star of bath time ever since this box arrived. My daughters love to play with him in there and squirt each other with him. We plan to purchase another one soon to make it a fair fight.

If you ask me, TMNT Box is super worth it. In fact, we are thinking about subscribing our oldest daughter for Christmas – but of course any POP Figures that arrive head straight to mommy’s collection. You can choose classic or combo. Now classic would feature the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stuff I grew up with, and the Combo would feature that plus stuff from the new show. I personally would go with Combo just to keep it interesting – but I LOVE that you have a choice! My girls LOVE Strawberry Shortcake! This is good news to me because I grew up watching her and playing with her toys in the 80s and now they are too! It is so fun to be brought back to my childhood when I see the new shows and toys. They have really improved – but I do wish I still had all of my Strawberry Shortcake dolls that were Scratch n Sniff so the girls could play with them now. Strawberry Shortcake has been entertaining and inspiring girls for 35 years and is entering a new dimension this month as she goes “beyond the box” in a series of pop culture-centric video shorts. Strawberry Shortcake: Beyond the Box premieres December 2 on the Strawberry Shortcake YouTube channel.

The BtB shorts take a humorous look at today’s lifestyle and pop culture trends, featuring toys from the Strawberry Shortcake universe shot using stop-motion animation. Produced by crowd-sourced production company Tongal, the 1- to 2-minute shorts cover topics such as “taking selfies,” “being a hipster,” “gluten-free” and “hashtag life”—each capped with a good-humored, uniquely Strawberry Shortcake message, such as the importance of being yourself or enjoying each moment. My favorite clip has to be when they flashback to the 80s. I laughed so hard when I saw that part, my daughters thought I was crazy!

This weekend my husband and I took my daughters to see The Good Dinosaur. We knew it was going to be a great movie – and it was. You can never go wrong with a Disney/Pixar movie. Nut before we even saw it, we had fallen in love with the characters thanks to the super fun game – Roarin’ Rapids from Wonder Forge Games. This game is the perfect family game because you play it together – not against each other. I just love the fact that we are all on the same team and if one of our dinosaurs gets caught by the river, we all lose and have to try again. If one of us makes it to the mountains in time – then we all win!

My young daughters (ages 3 and 4) just love this game! We played it several times in a row – over and over. It is always a little bit different because you blindly pick the next section of the board when you reach it, so no two games are alike! My 4 year old was always collecting the help tokens so that she could help her little sister when she needed it – and that totally warms my heart. Immediately after we got home from seeing the movie, we of course had to play this game. We have only won it once, but that is fine because we have fun while playing. Spot and Arlo have quickly become the favorite piece to play – so there are some fights – but my girls have learned to switch off every time we play. This game says ages 4+ but my 3 year old has a pretty good concept of it. So as long as parents are around I think 3, or even 2 and a half year olds can play along. This is the perfect family game to put under the tree this year!
