The Live Action Beauty and the Beast is one of my new favorite Disney films. I adored the original, which made me quite nervous about this one, but I was pleased it. And who knew Dan Stevens could sing am I right? This movie just hit stores everywhere this past week and in order to celebrate, we threw another Disney Movie Night Under the Stars! We went all out, Beauty and the Beast style, and you can too (I promise, it is really easy).

You all know what a big Marvel fan I am, so of course, I am really looking forward to Marvel’s Black Panther, which hits theaters February 2018. Today Marvel released the poster and I was in awe of it instantly. Chadwick Boseman looks amazing as T’Challa sitting on the throne. He looks very heroic and very true to his character in the comics, which makes me happy. We saw a little bit of him in Captain America: Civil War, but not nearly enough.

Who doesn’t love a good Disney•Pixar movie? I know I do. Some of my all time favorite movies are Pixar – Cars, Toy Story, & Inside Out. I can always count on them to make me cry. You still can’t say Bing Bong in my presence without me shedding a few tears and don’t even get me started on the end of Toy Story 3. So whenever a new trailer for one of their movies comes out, I am sure to start stocking up on tissues. COCO is one that I have been looking forward to since I heard about it at the Animation Panel at D23 two years ago.

I am a sucker for a good chick flick, and that is just what A United Kingdom is. I was excited to have a couple of gal pals over for a Sunday Brunch to watch it with me. I prepared some orange juice (and one of us had a mimosa but I won’t tattle on who it was) and some popcorn. We all really enjoyed the movie and all three of us shed a few tears. It is a touching film about love and overcoming obstacles.

Bambi has always been one of my absolute favorite Disney movies. I watched it many times growing up with my mom and sister – so naturally I was thrilled to be able to do it with my young daughters now. In order to help celebrate the 75th anniversary release of Bambi, we had a movie night under the stars! Now, we have family movie night every weekend, but this one was special. We even cuddled up outside with our pet bunny while watching, and just for the night, his name was Thumper instead of Riley.

Beauty and the Beast has always been one of my favorite Disney movies – if not my favorite. I grew up watching it over and over. Belle was my favorite princess when I was younger, likely because I could always be found with my nose in a book too. Because of my love for this film, my daughters love it too. We have watched it many times and so naturally we were very excited to hear that Disney was making a Beauty and the Beast Live Action film.

My husband loves the original Newsies movie. So when we found out about Disney’s Newsies The Musical coming to Disney Movies Anywhere, we knew it was something we wanted to see. We were super thankful to be sent, not only a digital copy of the movie, but a family movie night kit to throw a great Newsies viewing party! It was a total blast watching the movie and celebrating in true Newsies fashion. I never dreamed my 4 and 5 year old would enjoy it as much as they did but they just loved the music!

If you are a fan of the Guardians of the Galaxy films, take it from a comic book nerd like me, there are some books you just HAVE to read. If you want some great movie tie-ins and backgrounds on your favorite characters, these are the ones for you. Ideally, I would love to convince you all to go to your local comic book shop or look online and pick up every single issue that any of the Guardians appear in – but that is asking A LOT, I know. So I put together 5 of my favorite comic books (OK, a few are trade paperbacks) that any Marvel Cinematic Universe fan should pick up.

My daughters and 4 and 5 and they have been dying to see Rock Dog. We missed it in theaters because we happened to have a lot going on that month. We have a small theater in town and they actually only had it playing there for 2 weeks. I have been promising that we would watch it as soon as it came out on Blu-ray. Lucky for them (and me!) we were able to get an advance copy from Lionsgate – and it made their day! I mean, just look at those happy faces!
