OMG, OMG, OMG…. we FINALLY got it! A FULL LENGTH trailer for Captain Marvel. AND a poster. I can’t. I love her. Carol Danvers has been one of my favorites for a super (no pun intended) long time. I adored her as Ms. Marvel and was thrilled to see her pick up the Captain Marvel mantel. When I found out she was going to be the first solo female superhero lead for Marvel, I immediately thought about how much she deserved it. Now we have seen actual footage – and I might die.

When I opened up YouTube this morning and saw an alert for the Mary Poppins Returns trailer, my first thought was – is it real? I had to check and see that it was from Disney’s official channel because I just wasn’t expecting it. When I realized that the full trailer was indeed here, I was so excited. This trailer hit me right in the feels. Way more than I expected. And I sobbed like a little baby.
I must admit I never got in to the Predator films until I met my husband. He couldn’t believe I had never seen them and so we watched them all. We have watched them several times now, so much so that I was really excited to see The Predator. Not only was there what looked like an amazing cast, the trailers had a lot of funny parts. I was all in for this movie and am so glad we went opening night! I promise this is a SPOILER FREE The Predator review, so no worries reading on if you haven’t seen it yet.
I have been reading Marvel comic books for many years now and most of my friends know it. If they ever have questions about something going on in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, they come to me. Carol Danvers has always been one of my favorite Marvel characters – ever since she was Ms. Marvel. With the Captain Marvel movie coming out early next year, I wanted to give you guys a quick rundown of the character. A Captain Marvel 101, if you will.
Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year, especially because there are so many great movies that celebrate this holiday. The Nightmare Before Christmas is probably the number one on my list. It is a film that I have enjoyed for years – 25 years to be exact. To celebrate it’s anniversary, there is a special new blu-ray release! It includes not only the film, but also a special sing-a-long version – which my girls are obsessed with now! Get your spook on instantly via Digital, Movies Anywhere and on Blu-ray September 2.
One of my all time favorite Halloween movies is Hocus Pocus. I remember watching this when I was a little girl and I have now shared it with my young daughters. They love it just as much as I did – especially Binx. Recently I came across a “Binx Is My Spirit Animal” shirt at the Disney Store and I so need it. This is a must see Halloween movie that truly stands up against the test of time. I feel so old realizing that it first came out 25 years ago. WOW! The anniversary edition is now available on blu-ray with some amazing bonus features.
While in LA for the Dog Days World Premiere, I found out I was going to be talking with some of the cast. I was super excited to be chatting with the stars of the film: Nina Dobrev, Vanessa Hudgens, Adam Pally, Eva Longoria, Tone Bell, and the Director (who also has a small role in the film), Ken Marino. This was a group interview which shows us just how much chemistry these guys really have. It was so much fun, Adam, of course, had us cracking up. But Nina got in some pretty great zingers as well. Read on about 10 fun facts I learned about the movie and the cast, in this great interview!
I have to admit, I went in to Dog Days thinking that it would be a cute movie. I figured I would chuckle a little bit and be entertained, but I never expected to really love it. Dog Days exceeded all of my expectations. It is a hilarious, heartfelt, family film that is a must see for any dog lover. And if you don’t love dogs going in to this film, you will coming out of it. In fact, you might just run to your nearest rescue and adopt one.
When I got invited to attend the Dog Days premiere in California, I was really excited. I have two adorable dogs and I thought the movie looked super cute (stay tuned for a full review tomorrow!). One of my favorite parts about this event ended up being the pre-party on the green carpet at the premiere! It was so much fun. Whoever planned it did a great job because despite the heat, I had a fantastic time. From a candy bar, to dog themed food, to an actual dog pit – there were so many amazing things to do!
Avengers: Infinity War was released this week on digital, and is coming home to DVD and Blu-ray on August 14th. I have said it many times before but one of my favorite things about purchasing a film like this is the bonus features. Deleted scenes, gag reels, and commentary really give you a feel for the movie that you didn’t have before. So when I was sent Infinity War, before even watching the movie again, I tackled the bonus features. Now I am going to tell you if they are worth the watch.
