You might know that my husband and I are huge Star Wars fans. I think I have said this before but we actually walked out at our wedding reception to the Imperial Death March. We have both been eagerly awaiting Solo: A Star Wars Story, and the trailer was FINALLY released this morning! To say it was amazing is an understatement. All of the actors look fantastic (I mean Donald Glover as Lando! MIND BLOWN!).

If you haven’t figured out that I am a giant (pun intended) Marvel fan. Ant-Man is one of my favorite comic book characters, especially the Scott Lang version. I think that Paul Rudd plays him perfectly, so I have been really excited to see what Ant-Man and The Wasp has in store for us! It feels like forever that we have known about this film, but we haven’t seen much of anything – UNTIL THIS MORNING. The Ant-Man and The Wasp trailer finally dropped, and it was well worth the wait!
As I am sure you know, I am a big fan of movies. It is hard with young kids, but my husband and I try to go to the movies at least once a month. Of course, for most Disney films, we can take them along with us. 2018 is going to be one incredible year – for the entire Smith family. From Marvel films that I could have dreamed of 10 years ago, to re-imaginings and sequels of a couple of my favorite films – it is going to have it all.
This may come as a huge shock to you, but I am a bit of a Marvel fan. All kidding aside though, the countdown is ON for Avengers: Infinity War and I am over the moon excited about it. I am not ready for some of my favorite characters to die, or willing to admit it will happen, but let’s just say my purse will be full of tissues when I hit the theaters on May 4, 2018. In order to prepare ourselves, I teamed up with my girl Amy from As The Bunny Hops. Together, we created a viewing schedule for all the Marvel Cinematic Universe films – one a week until Infinity War hits theaters. We even did all the hard work and found out where you can watch them.
2017 was a fabulous year for movies. Some of my very favorites were released – and I was lucky enough to attend the red carpet premiere for two of them! While there were a lot that I loved (and a handful of ones I did not), there were 10 that really stood out to me. Yes, there is pretty much a common theme with them – I am a total comic book fan girl and this list shows it. Black Panther is hitting theaters in February 2018 and is highly anticipated by Marvel fans everywhere. I am certainly one of those fans who is dying to see what Marvel does with this film. Admittedly, I am sad knowing that Storm won’t be in it – but thanks to that exciting deal being worked out by Disney and Fox, we might see her in the future! Wakanda is one of my favorite places in the Marvel Comics world, so seeing it become a part of the MCU is pretty awesome.
