For the last year, my family has been living the keto lifestyle. We have come up with lots of delicious and easy keto recipes along the way. One of our favorites for when we are entertaining are these Bacon Wrapped Peppers – they are stuffed with a cream cheese filling that is similar to the filling in our Keto Stuffed Pepper recipe, which are also a hit. If you have spent any amount of time talking to me, I have probably ranted and raved about the movie What We Do In The Shadows. This is one of the three Taika Waititi movies I encouraged fans of Thor: Ragnarok to watch because they are so good! I mean, that man is brilliant. I was able to actually sit down and interview Taika Waititi a while ago and it was at that time that he told me about the What We Do In The Shadows TV show. Yea, I about died right then and there. This was before it was common knowledge, but he told me him and Jemaine Clement were working on it. Well, it finally premiered this week and here is what I thought about it.

If you truly know me, you know I love comics books. Yes, I prefer Marvel, but I love me some DC too. I mean, my daughter is named Ivy after Poison Ivy for a reason. I have to admit, about 5 pages in to the new graphic novel DC Super Sons: The Polarshield Project, I was hooked. There was no way I could put it down without knowing what happened next. And a couple hours later I was finished with it. The story sucked me right in, and remained compelling throughout. This comic took me on a super ride, and I passed it right on to my oldest daughter to check it out.

Now that Captain Marvel has been out in theaters for a few weeks, the question on everyone’s mind is can Carol Danvers beat Thanos? Fans of the comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe are at odds about this. Technically the writers and directors of the films can do whatever they want, regardless of what we have seen in the comics or what our opinions are. But I wanted to know what the fans thought, and I found some pretty hardcore ones to weigh in.

When the first Aquaman trailer was released, I was excited about it. DC has broken my heart before (my Suicide Squad review gets real guys) so I was cautiously optimistic. Then I saw the Aquaman extended trailer and not only did I feel like they told me the whole movie, the jokes seems really cheesy. Nevertheless, I still planned on seeing it in theaters. Opening weekend didn’t work for my family because my husband was away for work, and then the reviews from people we trusted came in.

Marvel just quietly released a ton of character posters for Avengers: Endgame, and they told us so much more than what you might think at first glance. These posters are split in to two groups – colored, and black and white. The black and white seem to be the Avengers who are no longer with us, and the colored poster are those that will be “Avenging the Fallen”. But there are some I was not expecting to see in a certain group (Shuri), and my heart is a little broken.

Artemis Fowl is a (really good) book series that Walt Disney Studios is adapting for the big screen. When I first heard this news, I was super excited. There are 8 Artemis Fowl books and I read most of them back in high school. I am now in the middle of re-reading them to hype myself up for this film. It hits theaters this August and I cannot wait to take my family to go see it. If you know nothing about this boy genius, you have come to the right place – because I am about to tell you all you need to know about Artemis Fowl.

Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger hooked me right from the first episode last season. One of my favorite things about it was the music, it was just so… perfect. Which was something I brought up in my interview with the cast and crew of Cloak and Dagger last year. They let me know that this is very planned out, which is obvious. Well, season two of this show is coming soon, but I was sent a press screener of the first two episodes and WOW! I was right back in it with Tandy and Tyrone – and loving this show! They pick right back up where we left off.
