Living in upstate New York means that my family lives for the summers. We are often cooped up inside throughout Fall, Winter, and even some of Spring. So once the weather warms up, we take full advantage. My family and I are outside as much as we can be. This year we decided to try something new – outdoor movie nights!

Get a SunBrite Outdoor Television
Watching TV outside means you need the right television – so I did a lot of research and want to share it with you. The Veranda Series of SunBriteTVs are designed specifically for outdoor use. This means they are engineered to survive just about any climate in North America, resisting the harsh effects of rain, snow, dust, insects, and extreme temperatures.

But there is not just one option – there is a whole family of weatherproof televisions to choose from. Like I said, they are specifically designed for full-shade outdoor spaces, so you don’t have to worry.
The Veranda series comes standard with a direct-lit 4K UHD screen with HDR – which is up to 50% brighter than indoor TVs for improved viewing in brighter outdoor environments. Powder-coated rust-proof aluminum exterior protects internal components from rain, snow, dust, insects, humidity, and salt air – basically anything you can think of that might damage a TV outdoors.
Don’t worry, connecting all your devices will be as easy as one, two, three! It comes with a large weatherproof media bay making cable connections easy. There is also plenty of storage room for many popular media players. Thick gaskets seal out moisture and the elements – and it available in 43”, 55”, 65” and 75” sizes.

The Right Seating
What else is important when planning an outdoor movie night? The seating of course! My family already has a movie night every Sunday – and now, weather permitting, we plan to move that outside. Of course that means comfortable seating that can fit all four of us (and our two dogs).
These TVs are built for full shade areas (which is the best viewing experience, let’s be honest), so find the perfect area that will work. We do not have a covered patio, but we bought a large gazebo and set it up on our back patio. This was perfect and created a great ambiance.
Don’t Forget the Snacks!
You can’t enjoy a movie without snacks. I am pretty sure that is a rule! We have a popcorn maker that we use every single movie night, and we plan to set it up outside for the summer months. Nothing goes better with a movie than fresh, buttery popcorn! Yum!

Trust me when I say outdoor movie nights are a great bonding experience for your family. You can even invite over some friends and really get the party started! Plus, having this set up outside will allow for other outdoor viewings such as big sports events, and finales of your favorite shows.
Get started today by picking out the perfect SunBriteTV for your outdoor area! It’s more durable, safer, and a better experience that using an indoor TV outdoors.
