Check Out My Disney Family Dance Party Playlist on Apple Music All Month!

Mama's Geeky Family Dance Party Playlist

This month I teamed up with Apple Music and Disney Music Group to create a super fun Family Dance Party Playlist! My girls and I are huge Disney fans and we have spent many hours dancing around the house singing our favorite Disney songs. Some of these songs date back to when I was a little girl – and some of them are brand new hits from movies like Cars 3 and Descendants 2! When I was asked to pick my top 20 and create a playlist, I knew it would be tough. But I was so ready for the challenge!

Dance Party Playlist Songs

In order to select the best family dance party songs, my girls and I spent a couple of hours blasting music and dancing around. I then asked them which ones were their favorites to dance to. I am going to be honest here, this was a lot harder than we expected! We could have easily created a playlist containing over 100 songs. There are so many Disney Hits and Marvel songs to choose from. Just the songs from Guardians of the Galaxy Volumes 1 & 2 and Descendants 1 & 2 would have been a great playlist.

My girls and I watch the Disney Channel a lot and there are a ton of great songs from basically every show as well. I challenge you to try to come up with just 20 of your favorites. I promise you, you will have a hard time too. We finally settled on what I think are some pretty amazing songs – that are also a lot of fun to dance along to!

Here are just a few of the songs we chose:

  • Ways to Be Wicked from Descendants 2
  • Kings Highway from Cars 3
  • Hooked on a Feeling from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1
  • Poor Unfortunate Souls from The Little Mermaid
  • Wham Bam Shang-A-Lang from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2
  • I Just Can’t Wait To Be King from The Lion King
  • 1-2-1 from A Goofy Movie
  • Friend Like Me from Aladdin
