I am a huge gamer, as most of you might know, and I am a big fan of the Ratchet and Clank video game series. My husband is as well and because of this, when the Ratchet and Clank movie was announced, we were thrilled! In fact, we took our young daughters to see it when it came out in theaters. We all really enjoyed the movie – in fact, my 5 year old says it is her favorite movie and asks to watch it all the time. I was excited to receive a copy of it on Blu-ray so that we could watch it at home again and again. Without giving anything away (because I want you to experience it like I did for the first time), I have put together a few reasons why fans of the Ratchet and Clank video game series will love the Ratchet and Clank movie.

The Wild Life looks like such a cute movie! My family saw the previews when we went to see Ice Age Collision and my girls have been asking to go see it ever since. We will be sure to bring them opening weekend, September 9, 2016. I love all of the animal characters, and I know they will be my daughters’ favorite part. I am guessing that Rosie will be my favorite – who do you think will be yours?

I was lucky enough to go see the live action version of The Jungle Book before it came out in theaters while I was in LA for the Captain America: Civil War premiere. Once it was released, I took my (then) 4 year old to go see it on a special mommy/daughter date. She loved it – and I was so pleased. She talked about it for weeks and when the Blu-ray version arrived in the mail this week, she opened up right away and asked if we could watch it. She wanted to show her little sister, who is 3, and to be honest, I was nervous that she might be scared. But she wasn’t at all!

Bring the party home now that the hit animated comedy, The Angry Birds Movie is available from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment! I took my daughters to go see this opening weekend with my husband and we all loved it! The Angry Birds Movie is based on the most downloaded app of all time (nearly 3.5 billion downloads). The film that catapulted to #1 at the box office in the U.S. and more than 50 others countries takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or almost entirely. In this paradise, hot-headed Red, speedy Chuck, and the volatile Bomb have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up in order to save their home. Boasting an “A” CinemaScore (viewers under age 25) and featuring even more of the breakout, fan-favorite Hatchlings, don’t miss the film that quickly became one of the highest-grossing video game based films of all time.

DC

I am a total comic book nerd, and that is something I am working hard to pass on to my young daughters. My favorite female comic book characters include Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, so I was thrilled to receive DC SuperHero Girls: Hero of the Year! The day this showed up on my doorstep, the girls and I opened it up and watched it. My 5 year old was super into it – and OK, so was I. What a great movie! It even held my 3 year old’s attention all the way through. It was funny, cute, and has a wonderful lesson it teaches. As soon as it ended, my oldest asked to watch it again. This is already a huge hit in our house and I recommend it for anyone with little girls. It will teach them that they can be a hero too!

I am a huge Star Wars fan and I have been waiting for Rogue One since I found out about it. I am so excited to finally see it in just a few short months (December 16th to be exact!). My husband and I will, for sure, be seeing it the first day it is out – quite possibly at the midnight showing! I think that it looks great, and I cannot wait to see what Gareth Edwards (director) has in store for us. The official trailer was just released during the Olympics and WOW! It looks incredible. I don’t want to give much away because I want you to watch it for yourself, but the very last second – AH! I screamed out loud when I saw it. This Star Wars Fan Girl can’t wait for December.

I took my daughters to go see Ratchet & Clank when it was in theaters. My husband and I grew up playing the video games and so we were really looking forward to this movie. We all loved it (I will have a full review coming soon) and I highly recommend it for those of you that are long time fans – or even new ones! My 5 year old says it is one of her favorite movies now. Ratchet & Clank is available on Digital HD now – and will be out on Blu-ray and DVD August 28th.

Ever since I got a limited sneak peak of Disney’s Moana at the D23 Expo last year, I have really been looking forward to this film. I know that it is going to be huge. I have watched the teaser trailer over and over with my daughters – and we couldn’t be more excited about it. They keep asking when we will get to see the movie, and I promised them that I will take them to the theater on Thanksgiving to see it. This new TV spot is incredible – in it we learn a little bit more about Moana and Maui.
