When Ice Age 5: Collision Course was in theaters, my husband and I took our young daughters to go see it. Ever since, they have been asking us to see it again. So when it arrived on our doorstep, along with a pretty amazing Space Movie Night package, they were thrilled! And I gotta admit it, I was too! We, as a family, love space. We have been to several planetariums and my girls always love learning about outer space. It was one of their favorite parts about the Collision Course movie.

My husband and I rarely get date night anymore. We have a 3 and a 5 year old that we love spending time with. We know that we need to take time for ourselves, but it only happens about once a month. When we do get a sitter, we usually go to dinner and a movie. One movie that we have been planning on seeing since we first heard about it is Keeping Up With The Joneses. This movie looks absolutely hilarious – and the stellar cast just adds to our want to see it.

I am a huge Star Wars fan so of course I am beyond excited about all the new Star Wars movies that Lucasfilm is releasing. One that I am actually quite excited for is Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. I think it looks incredible! My husband and I have chatted about it at length and we think that it will be the perfect mix of the Star Wars world we know and love – and totally new content and ideas. With a major franchise like this, you have to bring something new to it and I think Gareth Edwards will do just that! Just a couple more months and we will find out for sure – I cannot wait!

My family loves Halloween. We have gone all out decorating already, complete with three singing pumpkins out front of our home (see the video of This Is Halloween here). I am ashamed to say that I had never heard of the “Boo It Forward” tradition until a couple weeks ago. This is something that is right up my alley – and that my girls and I will be putting together every year from now on!

We love movies in our house! We have family movie night once a week and my young daughters (ages 3 and 5) take turns picking the movie. Recently, we were given an advance copy of Blinky Bill: The Movie and my 3 year old jumped at the chance to pick it as our weekly flick. We all actually really liked the film. I loved spending time with my girls and my husband laughing and truly enjoying the movie. This is a movie that is mainly for kids, but parents can have fun watching it as well.

I love Disney movies and one that I have been looking forward to for a long time is Moana. This movie looks incredible and I am so excited to take my two young daughters to go see it! They are super excited about it too – they ask me almost every day if it is out yet. Unfortunately I have to keep telling them no, that it will be out in November. Luckily, Disney has just released some fun coloring pages and activity sheets. These will help to hold them off as we wait for Moana to hit theaters near us!

One of my favorite actors is Johnny Depp so it should come as no surprise to you that the Pirates of the Caribbean series is one of my favorites. I love the character of Captain Jack Sparrow – the way he carries himself and all the humor he is involved in. OK, he isn’t that bad looking either! I have truly enjoyed all of the movie in the series and have been looking forward to Dead Men Tell No Tales since it was announced. I was even there at the D23 Expo when Johnny walked out in full Captain Jack Sparrow costume and threw grapes at the audience (read about that panel here – it was amazing).

Tomorrow (October 1st, 2016) is the premiere of My Little Pony Equestria Girls Legend of Everfree on Netflix and I am beyond excited! We are a total My Little Pony family. I watched it growing up and now my whole family enjoys watching the new series and movies (yes, even my husband). In fact, my husband can tell you about everypony and their cutie marks and powers – as well as pretty much the entire Friendship is Magic storyline. He also knows what happened in each of the Equestria Girls movies. We have family movie night once a week and one of the Equestria Girls movies are chosen at least every other week. We have seen them hundreds of times, so we are really looking forward to the new one!

I personally love inspirational movies. I like to see the underdogs come back to win, and to see people accomplish their dreams. Because of this, I knew right away that Queen of Katwe would be a movie I would really enjoy. It came out in select theaters last weekend, but not one near me. It will be out this weekend here and I am hoping to get the chance to go see it (with two little ones getting to the movies is few and far between). Disney recently released a bunch of Queen of Katwe clips and featurettes. I loved them all (and they made me even more excited to go see it!) but I wanted to share my favorite three.

I grew up watching Beauty and the Beast over and over and over. Belle has always been my favorite princess – I am pretty sure this is because I could always be found with my nose in a book. I have shared my VHS copy with my young daughters numerous times and am now so excited to be able to share the 25th Anniversary Blu-ray edition with them! Talk about a difference in quality – WOW! It is like I am watching a whole new movie. This movie is now one of their favorite Disney movies and they ask to watch it often (proud Mama moment right there!). Along with the movie, there are many awesome bonus features on this blu-ray disk – and I can’t wait to tell you all about them!
