Hey everyone! I went to see Suicide Squad opening weekend and did a quick video review for you. Warning, at about the 3:30 minute mark, the spoilers start. Let me know what you thought about this movie in the comments if you have seen it already.
Suicide Squad hits theaters everywhere today, and I could not be anymore excited! It is well known that I am a Marvel girl, through and through – but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate DC Comics (some of them anyways). I have four DC Comics characters that I can use the word love when describing how I feel about them. They are (in no particular order) Poison Ivy, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Joker. I don’t know why, but I just adore Harley and Joker’s relationship. It is creepy, often one-sided, and a little bit psychotic – OK, a lot psychotic. I cannot wait to see how it is portrayed in Suicide Squad this weekend.

My daughters and I love to watch movies. At least 3 or 4 times a week, we cuddle up and put one on. And every Sunday we have family movie night where we choose a movie to watch with the whole family. They are 3 and 5 years old and I know that these days will be gone all too soon, so I take advantage of them. Recently, a movie called Underdogs came in the mail. As soon as my 5 year old saw the cover, she asked if we could watch it. Once I saw the cast list, I was just as excited as her – I am a huge fan of Matthew Morrison and Nicholas Hoult.

Pete’s Dragon hits theaters everywhere next Friday, August 12th – and my girls and I cannot wait for it! Even my husband, who is not a big fan of reimagining movies, wants to see this one because of the cast. We have watched the original with our young daughters and they are huge fans of Elliot already. I remember wishing I had a dragon of my own when I was a little girl, and now my 3 and 5 year old feel the same way.
Get ready for nonstop fun with the family-friendly film The Adventures of Panda Warrior, arriving on DVD, Digital HD and On Demand August 2 from Lionsgate. Rob Schneider (Norm of the North), Haylie Duff (Napoleon Dynamite), Norm MacDonald (Grown Ups), Lauren Elizabeth (YouTube star “LoLuFullyLoaded”), and Tom Kenny (TV’s “SpongeBob SquarePants”) round out the all-star cast of brave warriors on a quest to save their kingdom.
I love Melissa McCarthy. I think she is one of the funniest comedians out there. The Boss just hit DVD, Blu-Ray, and Digital HD and I was thrilled to be able to sit down and watch it with my husband and my mom. Within 5 minutes we were all dying laughing! There is a teeth whitening scene just a few moments in and it is one of the funniest scenes in a movie I have seen in a while. Melissa is perfect at this role – she knows how to make people laugh. Peter Dinklage and Kristen Bell are great as well. The cast is really on point! I don’t think I have laughed this hard at a movie in a long time.
