Tomorrow (October 1st, 2016) is the premiere of My Little Pony Equestria Girls Legend of Everfree on Netflix and I am beyond excited! We are a total My Little Pony family. I watched it growing up and now my whole family enjoys watching the new series and movies (yes, even my husband). In fact, my husband can tell you about everypony and their cutie marks and powers – as well as pretty much the entire Friendship is Magic storyline. He also knows what happened in each of the Equestria Girls movies. We have family movie night once a week and one of the Equestria Girls movies are chosen at least every other week. We have seen them hundreds of times, so we are really looking forward to the new one! In it, Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, and all your favorite Equestria Girls will be headed to Camp Everfree where they discover a mysterious magical force!

One of my most favorite parts about our Disney Cruise was our day at Castaway Cay. Castaway Cay is Disney’s private island – and it is beautiful! I have been to islands in the Caribbean before, but nothing like this. Not only is it gorgeous and relaxing – it is decked out Disney! If you are a Disney fanatic like me, Castaway Cay should be one of the top reasons you need to book your Disney Cruise now. And there are so many reasons to get off the boat when you pull into Castaway Cay.

Castaway Cay visitors find an island completely outfitted for premium family leisure. Ample amenities include open-air BBQ dining locations serving complimentary meals, 2 shops featuring Castaway Cay gifts and souvenirs, and convenient free tram transportation around the island. Connect with nature via a series of walking paths and bike rentals. Snorkelers of all skill levels will be enchanted by the undersea realm of marine life off Castaway Family Beach. Novices can follow the Discover Trail, while more experienced snorkelers may wish to tackle the Explorer Trail. Keep an eye out for the hidden Mickey!

Yup, you can run a 5K on Castaway Cay! Just sign up once you are on the boat and you are good to go! My husband and I are planning on running this during our February Cruise – and we cannot wait! If you have kids that are too young, or do not want to participate, they can always hang out at the Oceaneer Club or Scuttle Cove.

I personally love inspirational movies. I like to see the underdogs come back to win, and to see people accomplish their dreams. Because of this, I knew right away that Queen of Katwe would be a movie I would really enjoy. It came out in select theaters last weekend, but not one near me. It will be out this weekend here and I am hoping to get the chance to go see it (with two little ones getting to the movies is few and far between). Disney recently released a bunch of Queen of Katwe clips and featurettes. As Phiona begins to succeed in local chess competitions, Katende teaches her to read and write in order to pursue schooling. She quickly advances through the ranks in tournaments, but breaks away from her family to focus on her own life. Her mother eventually realizes that Phiona has a chance to excel and teams up with Katende to help her fulfill her extraordinary potential, escape a life of poverty and save her family.

We are a Disney family, as you might have already discovered. My girls love to read and one of their favorite subjects is none other than the Disney Princesses. My oldest went off to Kindergarten this year and my husband and I knew we were going to get her a personalized Disney book as a gift. I remember watching the Power Rangers when I was a young kid. And now my daughters watch it too! There are lots of versions now but their favorite is Saban’s Power Rangers Dino Charge. They were really excited when we got an advance copy of the newest DVD, RISE. This DVD features 4 episodes and a bonus Halloween special. Halloween is my 5 year old’s favorite holiday and so she loves all things spooky. She really enjoyed the Halloween special (OK, the whole family did) and I highly recommend you pick it up to help celebrate Halloween this year!

Everyone’s favorite furry characters are back at it again! Elmo and his friends discover the magic of numbers in their newest educational adventure, Sesame Street: Monster Magic. This special has fun brewing on Sesame Street and Elmo, Rosita, Abby are exploring their magical talents, while learning a thing or two along the way. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and Sesame Workshop, the non-profit, educational organization whose mission is to help kids grow smarter, stronger and kinder, will release Sesame Street: Monster Magic on DVD October 4, 2016.

My girls loved watching over 2 hours of their furry friends! This is now one a top pick in the car when we go on long car rides. As a matter of fact, I don’t think it has left the DVD player since we first put it in there. I love this DVD because my girls have already learned a lot from it (as is true about Sesame Street in general). I also like that the DVD comes with a free growth chart! My 3 year old put it up in her room and is tracking her growth to see when she will “catch up to her big sister”. I highly recommend picking this up if you have little ones!

My daughters and I are huge fans of Veggie Tales. We have been for as long as I can remember. So when Veggie Tales in the House started on Netflix, we were hooked! We love to binge watch seasons together and these have been a hit with the whole family! I love Veggie Tales because my daughters learn good lessons with great morals. Veggie Tales teaches them the right way to act in situations and I can see that they have grown just from watching it. Plus, who doesn’t love the fun vegetable characters! Veggie Tales in the House Season 4 hit Netflix today and we have already watched several episodes (our favorite so far is the first part of episode 2, Invisible Arm Wrestling).
