Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania End Credit Scenes Explained

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is known for their end credit scenes, stingers if you will. They often set up for a future film and usually reveal something major. However, usually there is one important one, and one fun and silly one.

The Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania end credit scenes break the pattern though, as both are important and set up for what The Kang Dynasty is going to give us. Here are the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania end credit scenes explained.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Mid Credit Scene:
    Council of Kangs

The first end credit scene, AKA the mid credit scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania gives us a look at something comic book fans have had their fingers crossed for ever since it was announced that Kang was joining to MCU — the Council of Kangs. But who are the members of this council, and what could this mean for the future of the MCU?

The Council of Kangs is a group led by Prime Kang that was tricked into eliminating all divergent Kangs in the Multiverse, as that would ensure Prime Kang’s destiny would end with him becoming Immortus. The Council of Kangs was eventually recreated as part of the Kang Collective. During the eighty-ninth gathering of the Kangs at the Transtemporal Hub-World, they exiled Kang the Conqueror for finding him an affront to all Kang kind.

In Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, it is said that Kang the Conqueror was exiled by the others to the Quantum Realm. While some fans might speculate that he is not really dead at the had of Scott Lang, the Council members do state that he is gone. However, as we all know with Marvel, he could certainly come back again.

What does this mean for the future? Well, in Marvel Comics Kang Prime brought in Avengers Janet Van Dyne, AKA the Wasp, Dane Whitman, AKA Black Knight, and Hercules — all of whom we have seen in the MCU — to help him destroy his final time duplicate. Could this be something we will see brought to the screen? We certainly wouldn’t complain…

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania End Credit Scene:
Loki Season 2 Tease & Victor Timely

This takes us to the second and final Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania end credit scene. In this scene we are first shown a variant of Kang who claims to be able to control time, whose name is Victor Timely. This is clearly set in the past, which is apparent by looking at the sets and clothing.

Suddenly a familiar voice is heard saying that this is him, this is the man. Who is saying this? That would be Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston. He is speaking to Mobius (Owen Wilson). It seems the two have been able to talk since the end of Loki season 1 and are hunting down variants of He Who Remains.

While we all love seeing Loki back on the big screen, this is more than likely a set up for what is to come in the Disney+ series, Loki season two.

If you recall in the first season of Loki, He Who Remains explains that it was one variant of his who learned how to manipulate time.

In the comics, Kang the Conqueror time traveled to 1901 and established himself as an industrialist and inventor named Victor Timely. Founding the town of Timely, Wisconsin. Kang created Timely Industries, using future knowledge to advance technological innovation.

Since Victor Timely is in fact Kang Prime, and from the future, this means he likely did not die at all. He warned he can manipulate time and does no see it or live it as a straight path.
