Marvel’s Eternals has a mid credit and post credit scene. In this article we break them down and give fans the Eternals post credit scenes explained.

Marvel’s Eternals is a visually stunning film with a lot to unpack. It is a dense movie that spends a lot of time on character development and introducing these ten new characters to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
There is a mid credit scene and a post credit scene in Eternals — both of which are not only shocking and exciting, but they bring more characters into the MCU and set up for a lot more that is to come!
Marvel’s Eternals Post Credit Scenes Explained

Eternals Mid Credit Scene Explained
What Happens.
Makarri, Kingo, and Druig are in the ship saying they haven’t heard from the rest of the Eternals. They realize it must have been Arishem’s doing and figure that they need to find them as soon as possible.
All of a sudden, a light filled portal opens and Pip the Troll, voiced by Patten Oswalt, is thrown through. He is clearly drunk, per usual, and announces the arrival of brother of Thanos, Starfox, Eros! Behind him appears Harry Styles as Eros, AKA Starfox. He laughs that Pip is drunk, and then tells him that he does not need to introduce him like that every time they go somewhere.
Eros tells the Eternals that he is there to help them.

What It Means.
Eros has the power to be persuasive and manipulate others. He is a Thanos’ brother and one of the Eternals. Seeing him join the MCU is a big deal, and while he likely will not come face to face with his brother, he is still sure to be important.
Pip the Troll is the real takeaway here though due to his connection with Adam Warlock, who is confirmed to be in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, played by Will Poulter.

Eternals Post Credit Scene Explained
What Happens.
At the very end of the film, before Sersi and the others are taken away by Arishem so that he can judge humankind, Dane Whitman confesses that he has a complicated family history.
In this Eternals post credit scene, Dane is seen pacing the room, trying to psych himself up for something. He looks at a box that is clearly the same size as a sword. He opens up the box and as he reaches for it, black starts to come off the blade and go to his hand. Before he can touch it though, off screen viewers hear “Are you sure you are ready Dane Whitman?” and the post credit scene fades to black.
What It Means.
In the comic books Dane Whitman is also known as the Black Knight. He wields the mystical sword called the Ebony Blade and is sometimes a member of the Avengers. His sword carries a blood curse that threatens to drive the user mad. Dane overcomes this multiple times however. He has no superhuman powers, but is a fantastic swordsman.
While it is unknown who spoke those words, one theory is that it is none other than Jeffrey Wright, who voices The Watcher in Marvel’s What If…?. This could mean that he is about to interfere for a reason that is unclear at this time.
Another theory is that it is Merlin, who is the one who forged the Ebony Blade, is speaking.
Some people suspect the voice is Mahershala Ali as well, who is confirmed to be Blade in the MCU.
