I am a big fan of Pokemon. My family and I watch the show(s), play the video games, and of course, play the trading card game. We pick up new cards several times a month and always compete to see who has the better deck. I admit, my Psychic deck is not to be messed with. I have a Mewtwo that is damn near impossible to beat. Speaking of Mewtwo, have you seen the new trailer for POKÉMON Detective Pikachu?!?? When Mewtwo showed up, I about died!
I admit, when I first heard about this movie, I was skeptical. I thought it would be really hard to do the Poekmon justice while putting them in a live action film. Boy was I wrong. Once I saw the first teaser trailer I knew I was wrong. The Pokemon all look AMAZING! And adorable! I mean Bulbasaur, Snorlax, Charizard, and of course – Pikachu. They were so well done, I was shocked. You know I will be in theaters with my family on May 10th, and I hope you are too!
About POKÉMON Detective Pikachu
The story begins when ace private eye Harry Goodman goes mysteriously missing, prompting his 21-year-old son Tim to find out what happened. Aiding in the investigation is Harry’s former Pokémon partner, Detective Pikachu: a hilariously wise-cracking, adorable super-sleuth who is a puzzlement even to himself. Finding that they are uniquely equipped to communicate with one another, Tim and Pikachu join forces on a thrilling adventure to unravel the tangled mystery. Chasing clues together through the neon-lit streets of Ryme City (a sprawling, modern metropolis where humans and Pokémon live side by side in a hyper-realistic live-action world) they encounter a diverse cast of Pokémon characters and uncover a shocking plot that could destroy this peaceful co-existence and threaten the whole Pokémon universe.
