An exciting new indie drama, Ghost Complex, is officially heading into production in Tulsa, Oklahoma, this August. The film, a Freefall Productions project, has assembled a talented cast of stars, including Brenna D’Amico (Descendants), Genny Wick (Say Less), Clayton Royal Johnson (Stranger Things), Courtney Dietz (My Dead Dad), and Luke Barnett (Dark Winds).

This project marks the feature film debut for writer and director Jeremy Stewart, an NYU Tisch School of the Arts graduate. The film follows a college dropout who returns home, only to discover that the past is a ghost that refuses to let go. In a statement, Stewart described Ghost Complex as an independent drama that offers “a comedic and unique look at grief.”

The film’s visual style is in good hands with cinematographer Alyssa Brocato, who previously worked on the indie feature Pretty Problems, which won the SXSW Narrative Spotlight Audience Award in 2022.

The production is partnering with The Oklahoma Film + Music Office, which is excited to welcome the project.

“We look forward to working with the filmmakers of Ghost Complex and appreciate that they’ve chosen Oklahoma as their production destination where our skilled workforce, businesses and communities are primed to set the scene for this unique story,” said Oklahoma Film + Music Office Director Jeanette Stanton.

With a promising cast and a compelling premise, Ghost Complex is one to watch as it begins its journey from script to screen.

Casting was handled by producers Roumeliotis, Myers, Kelly, and Jamie Castro from Castro Casting.
