What Chace Crawford & Claudia Doumit Admire About Their The Boys’ Supes

Chace Crawford and Claudia Doumit play The Deep and Victoria Neuman in The Boys. While their characters certainly do questionable things, there are aspects they admire about them.

The boys season 3 the deep

Pretty much every character in The Boys does questionable things, but that doesn’t make them one hundred percent horrible people. They all have certain aspects that are admirable. When it comes to The Deep, played by Chace Crawford, and Victoria Neuman, played by Claudia Doumit, they admit during an interview with Mama’s Geeky what they admire most about their characters.

What Does Chace Crawford Admire About The Deep?

The Deep has done some truly horrific things, going all the way back to the first season of The Boys. Let’s not forget what he forces Starlight to do on her very first day as part of The Seven. However, Chace Crawford was able to find something he can appreciate about his character.

“I really admire his ability and desire to overcome the stigma of therapy. He likes to go to therapy.” Crawford says, before continuing that The Deep is also altruistic, and selfless in certain situations. “He is trying to save some of the sea life. I mean, he really does care deeply about ocean land, and obviously saving the sea life and the wildlife. He means well.”

What Does Claudia Doumit Admire About Victoria Neuman?

Victoria Neuman is a newer character on the show, however during the season finale of The Boys season 2 viewers got to see how far she is willing to go to get what she wants. It was her who popped the heads of Congress, as well as others. The characters on the show don’t know about these powers, but fans do. So when asked what she admires about her superpowered character, Claudia Doumit actually struggled for a moment.

“This is gonna sound odd to say, I admire her willingness to fight for her daughter. That’s kind of a two handed thing to say with this season, because she definitely makes a big sacrifice, but at the end of the day, I feel like everything she’s doing is very closely tied to the safety of her daughter.” Doumit compares Neuman’s journey to The Deep’s, saying they both do it terribly, even if they have the best of intentions. “The executions are horrific. It’s a work in progress. They’re they’re refining their methods.”

Tune into The Boys season 3 so you can see exactly what Claudia Doumit is talking about when it comes to her character’s actions. This season kicks off with the first three episodes on June 3rd, with weekly episodes every Friday through July 8th.

About The Boys Season 3

It’s been a year of calm. Homelander’s subdued. Butcher works for the government, supervised by Hughie of all people. But both men itch to turn this peace and quiet into blood and bone. So when The Boys learn of a mysterious Anti-Supe weapon, it sends them crashing into the Seven, starting a war, and chasing the legend of the first Superhero: Soldier Boy.

The Boys is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes—who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and as revered as gods—abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. Intent on stopping the corrupt superheroes, The Boys, a group of vigilantes, continue their heroic quest to expose the truth about The Seven and Vought—the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. It’s the seemingly powerless against the super powerful.

Season Three of The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Jensen Ackles.

The Boys Season 3 will premiere on Prime Video with the first three episodes on Friday, June 3, and new episodes available each Friday following, culminating in an epic season finale on July 8.
