Walking The Carpet At The Mulan World Premiere In LA

I attended the Mulan Premiere last week — and it was totally magical! A carpet fit for a warrior — and a princess.

Even though Mulan is not hitting theaters for a while now (unfortunately at this point we don’t even know when that will be), the premiere was in LA last week. I was thrilled to be a part of this magical night. One that was truly fit for a warrior, and a princess. The theming was on point, and I loved it all.

The opening of the carpet was lined with shields and other warrior decor. Of course the carpet was red — the main color on the poster for both films. At the after party the food was also on theme — Chinese food that was delicious by the way. I don’t think I have ever eaten that many potstickers in one night before. YUM!

Celebrity Sightings

The Mulan after party was buzzing with celebrities. I got all the cool mom points when I spent about 20 minutes chatting with members from the cast of ZOMBIES 2.

Meg Donnelly (Addison, ZOMBIES 1 & 2)

They were the sweetest kids and we had a blast talking about the songs from the film, what we think might happen with Zombies 3, and even TikTok!

Lil Huddy

Speaking of TikTok, if you are on that app you know who Lil Huddy is. Well he was at the premiere as well and loved stopping to take a picture with the group of moms who knew who he was.

About Mulan (2020)

To save her ailing father from serving in the Imperial Army, a fearless young woman disguises herself as a man to battle northern invaders in China.

Unfortunately since Mulan’s theatrical release has been postponed, my review must be postponed as well. At this time I don’t know when my full review will be available but I can tell you that the movie was magical. It was filled with girl power and I cannot wait to take my young daughters to see it.

I know it will inspire them to be strong women, and to stand up for what they believe in. It isn’t the animated version by any means — and that is OK. Trust me. It is worth the wait.
