As most of you know, I got to walk the red (or should I say purple) carpet for the Inside Out premiere this past summer. It was an incredible experience and I fell in love with the movie that night. I could not wait to get home and take my family to go see it. We went to see it twice in the theater and my girls have no idea, but they will be getting a copy of it for Christmas (yes it is KILLING me to wait that long to watch it again). Because I love this movie so much (if you have not seen it yet, you are totally missing out), I have teamed up with my good friend Joyce over at Women and Their Pretties to give away TWO copies. One lucky winner will get an Inside Out Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack and another will receive an Inside Out Digital Download.
I don’t know about you, but I am counting down the days until The Good Dinosaur is in theaters! My girls have been asking me nearly every day when we will be going to see it. They are not exactly thrilled when I tell them it will be about a month, but they are excited that we plan to take them opening day. This movie is going to be so good – I just know it. I got to see a little bit of the footage at the D23 Expo this past summer and WOW! Disney/Pixar is bringing it with this one guys. There will be lots of feels, so take tissues along. In the spirit of Halloween (this weekend!) I wanted to share with you a Good Dinosaur pumpkin stencil. Someone please carve this and send me a picture, I would love to see it! There are also some new activity sheets for you to print and share with your kiddos! Have fun!
The time has finally arrived! Last night, the official Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer debuted during halftime of Monday Night Football. Even though I was still exhausted from my Disney trip and fighting a little bit of a cold, I stayed up to watch it. And then I watched it again – and again. I think the grand total was about 15 times. My husband and I would pause it and speculate on every little detail. Last night also marked the day that you could first buy advance tickets – and the force broke Fandango. I was unable to get my tickets last night, but plan to try again a little later today. Everyone was online trying to secure their spot to be one of the first to watch the film.
As most of you know I am a HUGE Star Wars fan! But something you may not know – I am also a huge football fan. I am thrilled to let you know that two of my favorite things are combining tonight – the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer is debuting during halftime on ESPN’s Monday Night Football tonight (Monday 10/19/2015) when the New York Giants take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Philadelphia! The game starts at 5:15 p.m. PDT/8:15 p.m. EDT. Oh, and Lucasfilm also released the final version of the poster yesterday. Swoon. I am counting the down the days for this movie. My husband and I are seriously considering attending the midnight showing of it. We need to make up our minds quickly though because following the trailer launch, tickets to this highly anticipated cinematic event will be on sale everywhere movie tickets are sold! I have a Fandango gift card that is burning a hole in my pocket and anxiously awaiting for tonight!
Moana is going to be a huge movie. Not only is it from Disney (so it is pretty much guaranteed to be amazing) – the hype is already ridiculous. Even before it was announced that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson would be voicing the once-mighty demi-god, Maui, talk of this movie was all over the internet. For months everyone has been speculating on who the voice of Moana will be and Disney has been (brilliantly) keeping us in the dark – until now. That is right – we now know who will be voicing the strong and beautiful Moana in next year’s film – Native Hawaiian newcomer Auli’i Cravalho who is just 14! This is super exciting news and even though I have been over the moon about this film for months, I am somehow even more excited about it now.
My whole family is counting down the days until The Good Dinosaur comes out in theaters. Since we first heard about it, we knew it was a “must see in the theater” type of movie. I am so excited that it comes out Thanksgiving because we already have plans to take the girls that night (since they will have no school in the morning). They don’t know – but boy will it be a good surprise. I got to see some footage of The Good Dinosaur at the D23 Expo and I was really impressed. As true with any Disney/Pixar movie, be sure to bring the tissues. I only saw a few minutes and they were powerful enough that whenever I think about them, I tear up. I know that this movie is going to be HUGE. It is definitely a must see for the entire family this holiday season – so schedule in some time for it. And remember, Spot will be a part of the Disney Infinity family soon so you will want to be familiar with the movie. Some new images and even a new trailer were just released from Disney/Pixar – so be sure to check those out and get ready to watch Spot & Arlo and their friends on the big screen next month!

My daughters are HUGE My Little Pony fans. They love Friendship is Magic as well as the Equestria Girls series (they even love the old shows that I grew up watching). Anything My Little Pony is a must have in our house. And I must admit, my husband and I enjoy watching the shows and movies along with the girls. On September 26th, My Little Pony: Equestria Girls: Friendship Games aired on Discovery Family Channel. We were lucky enough to have received the DVD before it was aired, but we still watched it while it was on TV. We have alreayd watching this movie through several times – and the whole family enjoys it! We love the characters and I cannot wait to see even more movies from the Equestria Girls!
As you all know, I am a ridiculously huge Star Wars fan. I have been counting the days until Episode VII comes to theaters since the second it was announced. I am even debating on going to a midnight showing (although being a mom of two little ones means that the next morning will involve lots of coffee!). Well, I just got some Star Wars news that made me totally geek out. I apologize for not getting it to your sooner – I was too busy playing around with it.
My young daughters are obsessed with Hotel Transylvania (purchase here for less than $10!). I could probably tell you every single word of the movie. We have been watching it at least once a week since they discovered it over a year and a half ago. When we went to see a movie in the theater recently, my four year old saw the sign for Hotel Transylvania 2 and ran right over to it. She started yelling “Mommy! There is going to be a number 2 Dracula one! With a baby now! Can we see it today?”. I had to explain to her that it would be coming out soon, but that we could not see it yet. She was a little sad but it has given her something to look forward to. We plan to take the girls opening weekend and I cannot wait. The first one is a movie that the whole family enjoys.
