My husband and I took our young daughters to see this movie in the theaters and it was a huge hit for all of us! We loved it! I know I have been counting down the days for it’s blu-ray release so that I could take it home, and I am sure the rest of my family has been too. This movie was fantastic. If you haven’t see it, you should – if you have, then you know why you need to pick it up on December 6 when it is available for purchase already. I have been lucky enough to get an advance copy and wow! Here are my 3 reasons why you need to pick up The Secret Life of Pets on blu-ray or DVD.

My family has been waiting to see Moana since we first heard about it. It released while we were in Disney World on vacation and our plan was to go see it at Disney Springs. Well, I was lucky enough to be invited to a special early showing of it at the Polynesean Resort. There was a delicious buffet – and we even got to meet Moana herself as well as Jared Bush, the screenwriter for Moana. It was a magical night, even though it was a rare chilly one in Florida. We were all huddled in towels on the beach, but the time flew by! Moana is an amazing film for the whole family, and I urge you to go see it in theaters.

A young boy with a magical gift sets out on a thrilling quest to discover his family’s legacy in LAIKA’s newest film, Kubo and the Two Strings. The latest masterpiece from the animation studio behind the Academy Award®-nominated films Coraline, ParaNorman, and The Boxtrolls comes to Blu-ray™ 3D, Blu-ray™, DVD and On Demand on November 22, 2016 from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. Hailed as “an exquisite, beautiful film,” (Scott Mantz, Access Hollywood) Kubo and the Two Strings has captivated audiences of all ages, earning an extraordinary 97% “Certified Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes, making it one of the best-reviewed films of the year!

My absolute favorite movie growing up was Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. To this day, Belle is still my favorite princess. I think I connected with her the most because you could always find me with my nose in a book when I was younger. I have been so excited for Disney’s Live Action Beauty and the Beast since the moment I found out it was happening. This month has been very exciting for me because Disney finally released some images from the movie – and now there is a brand new trailer! Ah! I have watched it over and over and I just know that this is going to be an amazing movie.

The summer blockbuster hit, Disney•Pixar’s Finding Dory, swims home just in time for the holidays on Blu-ray 3D™, Blu-ray, DVD and On-Demand on November 15. The film’s playful and plentiful bonus offerings include “Piper,” the theatrical short film starring an irresistible sandpiper hatchling; an all-new mini short featuring interviews with Dory’s pals from the Marine Life Institute; a behind-the-scenes look at the most challenging character Pixar has ever created; never-before-seen deleted scenes, including a digital exclusive featuring the Tank Gang from “Finding Nemo” who make it their mission to get Marlin and Nemo to the Marine Life Institute; and much, much more.

As a total comic book nerd and someone who loves all things Marvel, I had to check out Doctor Strange opening weekend. I know I have said it before but he isn’t my favorite character from the comic books. In the books he is a little boring (in my opinion) and I don’t get the whole magic thing. I am a fan of other super hero abilities – magic always seemed tooo powerful and no fun. Like with Superman, if noone can defeat him, then what is the point? I hope that makes sense. But I went in to the film with an open mind and an open heart. I was hoping to fall in love with Doctor Strange. I have loved what Marvel Films has been doing with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and I was ready to have my mind blown. And I did.

My husband and I took my 3 and 5 year old daughters to see Trolls this past weekend. We were fully expecting a movie that they would love and that we would at least be entertained by – but we were not expecting one of the best movies of the year. Walking out of the theater my husband and I looked at each other and both said WOW! He said that he feels it is one of his favorite movies he has seen this year – and one of the best “kids” movies ever! I use the term “kids” movie lightly because I would go see this again in a heartbeat, even without my little ones. Here is why I think you need to take the whole family to see the film in theaters.

One of our favorite things to do as a family is go to the movies together. I know I have said this before, but it is true. We try to go at least twice a month, and are always taking our young daughters (ages 3 and 5) to see the latest kid’s movies. One movie coming out soon that we plan to see is Sing. We have been seeing the trailers before other movies and this one looks like fun for the whole family. I can tell by the trailer that it is going to have heart, a great moral, and still be funny. Not to mention all the amazing songs that are going to be featured. The film comes out December 21st and you better bet we will be there opening weekend!
