I have always thought it would be really cool to attend to press junket with the cast of a film. A couple of weeks ago in LA, I was able to attend my first one – and for Thor: Ragnarok of all movies! On stage was HUGE talent – Taika Waititi, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, Rachel House, and Kevin Feige. It was pretty surreal to be in the same room as them, and to be able to chat with them about their new film. This is a long one guys, and I even cut out a lot. Hope you enjoy it!

Taika Waititi is one of my favorite directors. He is super brilliant! When I interviewed him about Thor: Ragnarok, he let me in on a few little secrets — including the fact that he improvised all of Korg’s lines!
While in LA for the Thor: Ragnarok premiere, we were lucky enough to interview some of the cast and filmmakers. The day of our interviews we were surprised with an addition to that list, Kevin Feige. I was over the moon excited because he is the President of Marvel Studios and a brilliant man! I previously interviewed Kevin a few months ago at the Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 press event along with James Gunn. That still remains one of my most favorite interviews ever so I was eager to talk with him again.
To say I was excited to walk the red carpet at the Thor: Ragnarok premiere and see the film before many others is an understatement. I had been waiting a long time for this movie to come out. Taika Waititi is one of my favorite directions and I was dying to see what he was going to do with this film. When you are looking forward to a movie this much, there is a lot of potential for disappointment. I had a feeling it was going to be fantastic and if my expectations were not met, I was not going to be happy with it. Well, they weren’t met – they were exceeded. Here is why I think you need to rush out and see Thor: Ragnarok opening weekend (November 3rd)!
I am a pretty big fan of Marvel, in case you somehow missed out on that. I have been reading Marvel Comics since I was a little girl – so you can imagine how excited I am about all of the Marvel movies coming out. This is certainly a great time to live in if you are a geek like me. Thor: Ragnarok is the next Marvel Studios film to come out (and I can’t wait for you all to see it – it is so good!!) but after that will be Black Panther. After seeing the latest poster and trailer, I was blown away. I already know this film would be amazing, but now I am really counting the days.
There is nothing like a Marvel red carpet – and no two are the same. I recently hit up LA and attended the Thor: Ragnarok premiere and of course, it was an amazing experience. I was really excited about this one because it was at one of my favorite theaters – the El Capitan Theatre – which I had not been to for a while. It is a totally gorgeous and historic theater and I highly recommend that everyone go visit it at some point in their life. I knew this was going to be a busy carpet, but I didn’t realize just how amazing the vibe would be. It was so high energy and buzzing with excitement.
I have always loved playing video games – ever since I was a young girl and got my first Nintendo system. I enjoy all types of games, but some of my favorites have always been the LEGO games. These games can occupy me for literal hours on end. We own quite the collection of them – Harry Potter, Marvel Super Heroes, Dimensions, and now we have added the LEGO Ninjago Movie! I was super excited to see this show up in the mail because I just knew I would love it!
I am so excited to let you guys know that I am heading to LA for the #ThorRagnarokEvent with 24 other awesome bloggers in a couple of weeks! Make sure you follow along 10/9 to 10/11 as I do so many cool things including walking the red carpet at the Thor: Ragnarok premiere. I will also be chatting with some of the cast and filmmakers, so if you have any questions, please let me know. That is not all we will be doing though, so check out the full details here.
Let’s face it, 2017 has already been a pretty good year for movies. Especially for geeks like me! I mean, Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2, Logan, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and now we have Thor: Ragnarok to look forward to. I know I have told you guys time after time, but I am am a pretty big comic book fan. I have been reading Marvel Comics since I was a little girl – and Thor has always been a favorite of mine. If you don’t know much about Thor and Hulk besides what you have seen in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), I encourage you to pick up these few comics to familiarize yourself with them more.
This summer, my family and I hosted several Disney movies under the stars nights. These were a total blast to put together! I themed our snacks, decor, and activities around the films that we were watching. It would only take us a few minutes to set up our screen and projector – and this quickly became something we tried to do every week or so. We have always enjoyed a good family movie night, but there is quite like having one under the stars.
