Apple TV+ Jane stars Ava Louise Murchison and Mason Blomberg share details of their new series and how it changed their thoughts on certain animals in this interview. This is a sponsored post on behalf of Review Wire Media for Apple TV+.

    Apple TV+ Jane Cast Interview

Apple TV+ has a new series called Jane that is debuting on April 14th, 2023. This educational show will help teach kids, and parents, all about animals in a way that is fun and entertaining. Ava Louise Murchison stars as Jane Garcia, a 9-year-old budding environmentalist on a quest to save endangered animals. Using her powerful imagination, Jane takes her best friends David, played by Mason Blomberg, and Greybeard the chimpanzee on epic adventures to help protect wild animals all around the world.

We sat down with both Ava Louise and Mason to talk about Jane. The actors reveal what it was like to work with so many CGI animals and the difficulties that arose from that. They also confess which animals they gained respect for while filming, and what their favorite animal fun fact they learned is.

What Is Your Favorite Animal Fun Fact That You Learned?

Ava Louise Murchison: My favorite was probably about the bee. That when they eat pollen, they have these little straws coming out of their mouth. I thought that was really cool.

Mason Blomberg: My favorite was that polar bears actually have see-through fur and that their skin is actually black. Even though it looks white, it is see-through, which is actually kind of crazy.

What Was It Like Working With CGI Animals?

Ava Louise Murchison: It was my first time working with CGI animals. So you know, it was different because usually I had a puppet there or nothing there. But thankfully, I’m very good at imagining. And I actually liked working with CGI.

Mason Blomberg: Yeah, it was fun. And it could be hard at times because there’s really nothing there. Sometimes they’ll give us an eyeline for us to look at, which can help. And like Ava Louise said, it is fun because you get to work on your imagination. And we’re both pretty good at that.

Do You Have A Favorite Animal?

Ava Louise Murchison: Oh, that’s very hard. What before I booked Jane, I actually really loved monkeys. But after booking Jane, I really grew a love for lots of animals. So I can’t really pick one but I do really love monkeys.

Mason Blomberg: I have lots of favorite animals. But if I had to pick one, I’d probably take the owl because it’s so cool. You get fly, like who doesn’t want to fly? So you can fly, you have these sharp claws, and it’s just so cool being an owl.

Is There Any Animal That You Learned To Respect More Because Of Filming?

Mason Blomberg: I’ve always liked all animals. And I’ve always felt passionate for saving the environment. But like most people, I’ve, at one point in my life, I was scared about getting eaten by a shark. After the show, I’ve gotten more passionate about them, and feel more sympathetic to them. They’re treated so unfairly, because people think they’re dangerous and that they’re going to hurt people. So that’s one of the animals that I think should be more respected.

Ava Louise Murchison: I think, for me, probably caribou. I didn’t really know that much about them. And they weren’t in my top 10 favorite animals. But once I filmed the episode, I grew to learn so much about them, and why they’re important and cool facts about them.

Be sure to check out Jane when it streams on Apple TV+ April 14th.
