One of my favorite things to do with my daughters is cuddle up and read stories. Lately, one of our absolute favorites has been Room on the Broom. My girls are in to everything and anything spooky right now. Halloween is their favorite holiday. So it makes sense that they fell in love with this book because it all about a witch. When I told the girls there is a DVD of this story, they were thrilled. When an advance copy showed up at our door, they asked to watch it right away. And we all loved it!
We are so excited about the fact that Public Media Distribution is re-releasing the film Room on the Broom on DVD August 8. This program comes from the creators of the Oscar-nominated The Gruffalo and the sequel The Gruffalo’s Child – which we love as well! It is a beautifully animated adventure which tells a magical tale of friendship and family. This movie is great because it is a lot of fun and I know that every kid will love it. My husband and I really enjoy watching it as well. It is only about half an hour, which is nice because we play it right before bed time to settle the girls down.
About Room on The Broom
This is the story of a kind witch who invites a surprising collection of animals to join her on her broom, must to the frustration of her cat. When the witch encounters a fearsome and hungry dragon, her animal friends come to her rescue. To show her gratitude, the witch rewards them with a magnificent new broom with room for everyone!
