All of the Hellraiser movies ranked from worst to best, including the newest release, Hellraiser (2022).

    Hellraiser Movies Ranked including 2022

Hellraiser Movies Ranked (Including Hellraiser 2022)

Hellraiser is one of the most iconic horror franchises, and in order to celebrate the release of the newest movie, Hellraiser (2022), we have ranked all Hellraiser movies from worst to best. Here are the Hellraiser movies ranked.

    Hellraiser Movies Ranked Hellworld

    Hellraiser: Hellworld (2005)

Easily the worst of the Hellraiser films, Hellworld at least delivers on the gore, even if the script and story are a mess.

    Hellraiser Movies Ranked Revelations

    Hellraiser: Revelations (2011)

Again, a very straight to DVD release script. But there are some good moments. Some good BLOODY moments, we should say.

    Hellraiser Movies Ranked Hellseeker

    Hellraiser: Hellseeker (2002)

The biggest issue with Hellseeker is that it feels too all over the place. Not really sure what genre it is, it seems to mess with the Hellraiser flow fans are used to. There are few and far between good moments.

    Hellraiser Movies Ranked deader

    Hellraiser: Deader (2005)

Deader starts to take itself seriously again, which is why it sits in the middle of the Hellraiser movies ranked list. It has its moments. Even if some of the script is a mess and it doesn’t fully deliver, it tries, and that is all fans were asking for at this point.

    Hellraiser Movies Ranked inferno

    Hellraiser: Inferno (2000)

Inferno works so well because of Scott Derrickson. This was his directorial debut and he brings his creepy and intense style to Hellraiser.

    Hellraiser Movies Ranked Judgement

    Hellraiser: Judgement (2018)

Judgement is a decent addition to the Hellraiser franchise, and it tried its best to bring it back to its former glory. While it doesn’t quite achieve that, it does provide a grotesque addition to it.

Hellraiser Movies Ranked hell on earth

Hellraiser III: Hell On Earth (1992)

Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth has some truly epic sequences – particularly the nightclub scene. Haunting and bloody, this one really shines when it comes to the practical effects and death scenes. The script really starts to deteriorate here, but there are some chilling moments that make this a great movie.

    Hellraiser Movies Ranked bloodline

    Hellraiser: Bloodline (1996)

Bloodline is an underappreciated addition to the franchise. Literally taking place in space, how could you not be intrigued by this one? Horror mixed with Sci-Fi, sign us up!

    Hellraiser Movies Ranked

    Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988)

A great follow up to the original, it remained a decent story, with great effects, but Hellraiser II had a bit of a messy script, complete with a few plot holes. Still, the gore alone makes it worth watching.

    Hellraiser (2022)

Jamie Clayton takes the Hell Priest, aka Pinhead, and makes this character completely her own. Even being made in 2022, they stick the practical effects and that works. The Cenobites are haunting, as is the story. It starts off slow but once it settles in, it is easily the second best of them all.

    Hellraiser Movies Ranked

    Hellraiser (1987)

They always say nothing can beat the original, and in this case they are right. The first Hellraiser is truly terrifying. It was almost ahead of its time as it dives into the questionable morals of humanity. It is a bloody good time, and set the bar for the practical effects that continue throughout the entire franchise.

    About Hellraiser (2022)

A reimagining of Clive Barker’s 1987 horror classic from director David Bruckner in which a young woman struggling with addiction comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension.

Hellraiser is streaming on Hulu now.
