I know I am always looking for easy meals, so I like to share ones with you guys every now and then. There is a casserole that I came up with a while back that my husband has been requesting more and more often lately. I was not sure what to call it, but Chicken Cornflake Casserole sounds about right.
I make smoothies a lot. My family loves strawberry and banana ones on the weekends or after a nice walk on weekdays, but I also like to make mocha and coffee smoothies for myself most summer mornings. Because of this I have been wanting a blender that can make a one person smoothie easily – but I do not want to have to keep more than one blender around. Even if I decide to store one, two large blender bases would cause cluttering. That is why I was really excited to be able to try out the Nutri Ninja / Ninja Blender System.
I am not sure if I have mentioned this much before, but I am part Greek Orthodox. One of my favorite Greek meals growing up was Greek Meatballs. I love the sauce. Even though it is traditionally used for meatballs, I like to use it for sausage and pasta. It is a very thin sauce. Here is my recipe for “Greek Sausage Pasta”.
My husband and I love to bake. Lately we have been involving our daughters in the process as they are getting old enough to help out. I recently received some really cool Easter items from Target Grocery, and one of them was the Little Lambs cupcake kit! This kit is perfect for some family fun around Easter. My girls were so excited about making “sheep cupcakes” and they did a great job helping with the baking and the decorating!
I love cooking breakfast for my husband and daughters. One thing that we all love is waffles – I mean, who doesn’t? I found an easy recipe for some amazing sweet potato waffles with warm grand marnier berry compote. It sounds complicated, I know, but I promise, it really is fairly simple. This would make a perfect treat for Valentine’s Day Breakfast/Brunch!
This is a family favorite. I had an old recipe that I doctored up and made my own. I have had many friends and family members ask for the recipe. These are delicious and super easy to make!
Happy 4th of July everyone! This holiday I will be spending time with family at a backyard BBQ & campout! This will span the whole long weekend! I am so excited! For dinners we all bring a dish to pass. My husband I could not decide what to bring – all the common things were taken (pasta salad, tossed salad, fruit salad). As you probably know, we raise chickens and thought – hmmm why not deviled eggs! I then remembered that my cousin made pastel colored deviled eggs for Easter and thought I could do that with Red & Blue dye for festive Independence Day eggs!
Anderson .Paak hits a high note in K-Pops!, a sweet, charming family comedy about music and family. It’s predictable but pure feel-good fun.
Elizabeth Cullen shines in this indie horror. A bloody, gnarly clash between fundamentalism and a vengeful witch that’s flawed but effective.
