If you have been following me for a while than you know I was out in LA earlier this year to help promote the in theater release of Ant-Man and The Wasp. I interviewed most of the cast (Paul Rudd does not age and Evangeline Lilly is just as amazing as you would think) as well as the Director Peyton Reed. All those interviews can be found here on my site. I also got to see the movie before it came out, and I loved it so much I still went and saw it opening weekend.
OMG, OMG, OMG…. we FINALLY got it! A FULL LENGTH trailer for Captain Marvel. AND a poster. I can’t. I love her. Carol Danvers has been one of my favorites for a super (no pun intended) long time. I adored her as Ms. Marvel and was thrilled to see her pick up the Captain Marvel mantel. When I found out she was going to be the first solo female superhero lead for Marvel, I immediately thought about how much she deserved it. Now we have seen actual footage – and I might die.
I have been reading Marvel comic books for many years now and most of my friends know it. If they ever have questions about something going on in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, they come to me. Carol Danvers has always been one of my favorite Marvel characters – ever since she was Ms. Marvel. With the Captain Marvel movie coming out early next year, I wanted to give you guys a quick rundown of the character. A Captain Marvel 101, if you will.
Avengers: Infinity War was released this week on digital, and is coming home to DVD and Blu-ray on August 14th. I have said it many times before but one of my favorite things about purchasing a film like this is the bonus features. Deleted scenes, gag reels, and commentary really give you a feel for the movie that you didn’t have before. So when I was sent Infinity War, before even watching the movie again, I tackled the bonus features. Now I am going to tell you if they are worth the watch.
Avengers: Infinity War Bonus Features + Win A MARVELous Prize Pack from GameStop! | #InfinityWar #Avengers
Avengers: Infinity War is now out on digital (eek!) and comes home on blu-ray August 14th. One of my favorite things about a movie’s home release is all the bonus features that we get. From gag reels, to deleted scenes, to commentary – there are so many amazing things we can learn about our favorite films. When I first saw the list of bonus features that would be a part of the Avengers: Infinity war home release, I was floored. Each and every one sounded more exciting and amazing than the last. It looks like we will really get to dive in to Thanos’ background. But for me, the director commentary is where it is at.
You don’t have to look any further than my right arm to know that I’m a huge fan of Guardians of the Galaxy. I’ve been a fan of the comic books since I was a little girl, and I was skeptical about how it would be adapted for theaters. I was thrilled to see the version that James Gunn brought to the big screen in 2014. During the filming of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, I was lucky enough to visit the set and interview Gunn for the first time. I interviewed him again during Vol. 2’s press junket. During each encounter, I was impressed by his vision, his talent, and his kindness.
Ant-Man and The Wasp Director Peyton Reed Dishes on the Future of the MCU & More! | #AntManAndTheWaspEvent
One of my favorite things about my job is getting to talk to directors and producers about all the behind the scenes and planning of films. Things like that really interest me so when I met with Director Peyton Reed about Ant-Man and The Wasp, the morning after seeing the movie, I was so excited and anxious. I wanted to know every little detail and everything that went through his head because this movie is everything. The first thing we talked about was the mid and post credit scenes (read more about that here), and then we moved on to this hilarious movie!
WARNING: THIS ARTICLE IS FILLED WITH SPOILERS FROM ANT-MAN AND THE WASP! If you have not seen it and do not want any spoilers, please come back after you have seen the movie. Now that Ant-Man and The Wasp has been out for a week, let’s discuss it. This movie was brilliant, if you ask me. Filled with humor, exactly what I would want in an Ant-Man movie. But honestly, the girls take center stage in this one and kick some serious butt. And then, well, read on to see how Marvel built me back up after Infinity War with much needed humor, only to rip out a tiny piece of my soul during the mid-credit scene.
In the Marvel Comics Ghost is a man, not a woman. So when I first saw that Hannah John-Kamen would portray Ghost in Ant-Man and The Wasp, I was really intrigued. I could not wait to see what Marvel was up to. Well, color me impressed because she killed it as Ghost. The story, her background, I loved it all! After watching the movie the night before, I was really eager to chat with Hannah about how incredible she was on screen, and how it felt to take that villain, if you can call her that, to a whole new level.
