While in LA for the Captain America Event, one of the things we got to do was be the first group to screen The Disney Channel’s upcoming original movie The Adventures in Babysitting. This film is actually Disney’s 100th Original Movie (has it been that many already?). It was inspired by the popular 1980s movie of the same name but it is “twice the babysitters, twice the fun.” It stars Sabrina Carpenter (of Disney Channel’s hit comedy series “Girl Meets World”) and Sofia Carson (of the hit Disney Channel Original Movie “Descendants”).

My daughters are big into science. Of course, having an engineer for a father probably has something to do with it. They are constantly trying to figure out why things work and what happens when they do certain things. They are always experimenting and asking questions – definitely good personality traits to have. I just knew that they would like Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab when it arrived and I couldn’t wait to put it on for them. The night that it arrived, I surprised them telling them they could watch one show together at bedtime – and boy did they love it. It actually ended up being poor planning on my part because fits ensued quickly as I told them we had to turn it off after watching the first episode.

My four year old loves ladybugs. She even got a ladybug habitat kit so she could raise her own. She also loves superheroes so of course, when I heard about the show Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir I knew it was something I had to share with her. The first time we watched it together, she immediately took to it – and I admit, I was entertained as well. My 3 year old even enjoyed it and she rarely sits through a whole show, let alone several episodes.

Happy Earth Day everyone! I hope you find great way s to celebrate today. I plan to take my daughters outside and spend some time with them enjoying the environment – and cleaning up our local park. In case you are looking for some fun ideas, I want to share with you some activities from Dreamworks Animation!

ABC’s The Real O’Neals is one of my favorite shows on television right now. So when I found out that I would be sitting down with some of the cast as well as the executive producers while in LA for the #ABCTVEvent & #CaptainAmericaEvent, I was thrilled! This show is great because it mixes comedy with serious topics. The O’Neals are a Catholic family where the parents are getting divorced, one son is gay, one son is anorexic, and the daughter is a bit of a thief. They have their issues but they stick together and stand up for each other often.

Have you been watching The Family on ABC? If you haven’t, boy are you missing out! The Family is suspenseful, action packed, thrilling, and just – well, it is amazing. It is one of my favorite shows on television right now because every time they answer a question, they throw three or four new ones at you. It is very well written and the cast is incredible. The basis? Well a family unfortunately loses their son (Adam). They suspect the pedophile neighbor had something to do with it.

I grew up watching Pound Puppies so of course I was thrilled when Hasbro started making episodes again, I was thrilled! I was so happy that my young daughters would get to grow up watching one of my favorite childhood shows. And I was even more excited when I found out how much they loved it! Pound Puppies is one of their favorite shows now too, and I love watching it with them! We have a few of the DVDs from Shout Factory and were lucky enough to snag an advance copy of the latest – Pound Puppies: Showstopping Pups.

We will be screening 3 movies (Captain America: Civil War, The Jungle Book, & Adventures In Babysitting), getting a behind the scenes look at The Catch, and getting a sneak peak at future episodes of The Real O’Neals & The Family! We will also be interviewing some incredible talent – but I need your help! Bring me some great questions for these guys – please post them in the comments and I will do my best to get them answered for you! Be sure to circle back for my posts about these amazing experiences and to find out the answers to your questions!
