Audiences were mesmerized by Disney’s live-action epic adventure “The Jungle Book,” which has earned more than $911 million at the global box office to date. I personally loved the film! I was lucky enough to see it before it’s release while in LA for a press trip – and I was sure to bring my (then) 4 year old with me to the theater to see it opening weekend. She loved it and has been begging to buy the movie so we can watch it at home. While, this August, we will finally be able to do just that. Disney’s Groundbreaking, Live-Action Adventure arrives on Digital HD August 23 and on Blu-ray August 30.
Have you seen Disney’s The BFG yet? It hit theaters on 7/1 and everyone I know is raving about it! I have read the book more times than I can count and was very excited to see this movie! I had seemed to remember an older animated version and guess what – I wasn’t imagining things. In fact, “ROALD DAHL’S THE BFG” is being re-released on DVD today, July 5, 2016. Roald Dahl’s beloved children’s book comes to life in this classic animated feature, which debuted in 1989, about the amazing power of friendship between a little girl and a big-hearted giant.
Ever want to speak the language of The BFG (Big Friendly Giant)? Well now you can learn with this simple guide — you can even print it out!
Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War has conquered both audiences and critics, debuting to $179.1 million – the fifth-biggest domestic opening of all time. When it arrives early on Digital HD, Digital 3D and Disney Movies Anywhere on Sept. 2 and on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD and On-Demand on Sept. 13, viewers can join the nonstop action and pick their side – #TeamCap, commanded by Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), or #TeamIronMan, led by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.).
The new Disney Channel’s ADVENTURES IN BABYSITTING is coming to DVD TODAY (6/28/2016) and to celebrate the release I am giving away the ultimate 80s Themed Viewing Kit! The kit will include 80s themed dinner plates, napkins and cups, neon animal print sunglasses, inflatable microphones and boom box, and glow in the dark necklaces. Oh and of course, the brand new Disney Original Movie (the 100th one to be exact) Adventures in Babysitting starring Sabrina Carpenter and Sofia Carson! The movie aired on The Disney Channel Friday and it is amazing. It stays true enough to the classic while still doing its own thing – a true hit!
I took my girls to go see Kung Fu Panda 3 in theaters opening weekend and we loved it. It teaches some great lessons to kids and is well worth the watch. Jack Black is perfect as Po and the rest of the cast is stellar too. We love the first two and this third installment did not disappoint. Kung Fu Panda 3 is available on Blu-Ray & DVD June 28, 2016 and to help celebrate this release, I want to help you plan the ultimate Kung Fu Panda 3 viewing party!
It is no surprise that Finding Dory is already a summer hit. It has been the number one movie for two weekends in a row now. I was finally able to take my whole family this weekend (last weekend we were away at Hershey Park – you can read more on that here soon) and we all loved it. If you have not gone yet, be sure to stay all the way through the credits, well worth the few minute wait! I am a huge Finding Nemo fan and Finding Dory is just as good, if not better. Why? There are a few throw backs to the original movie, there is baby Dory, and it will tug at your heart strings. Yes, I cried – more than once. We all love the new characters like Hank (and really want a pet octopus now) as well as Bailey and Destiny. It is an incredible movie and if you have not seen it yet – GO!
Twenty-five years ago, Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” broke ground as the first animated feature film to receive an Academy Award nomination for best picture, and now this tale as old as time joins the Walt Disney Signature Collection on Sept. 6 on Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere, and on Sept. 20 on Blu-ray and DVD. I grew up watching this movie more times than I can count. It has been one of my favorites for as long as I can remember. Belle is still my favorite princess because you could always find me with my nose in a book. I was so excited to hear that Disney is coming out with a reimagined version of this film (read more on that here) and I cannot wait to take my daughters to the live action version in the theater. I am thrilled that Beauty And The Beast will finally be available on Blu-ray and I cannot wait to pick up my copy this September! The bonus features sound amazing!
