From the moment I watched the first trailer for The Kid Who Would Be King…
I just got back from watching Mary Poppins Returns with my daughters – and it was a purely magical experience. Within the first few moments, I felt like a kid again. And that is no exaggeration. When Mary Poppins arrives on Cherry Tree Lane it is in perfect Mary Poppins fashion, and it only gets better from there. The music is phenomenal and I left the theater wanting to go see it again. Emily Blunt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and – well – every single actor in this film – were practically perfect in every way. Oh yea, and I cried. Like a lot. But would you expect anything else from me?
When I first heard about Venom coming to the big screen, I was thrilled. He has always been one of my favorite Marvel characters. Then as the trailers were releasing, I admit, I had mixed feelings. The final trailer put my concerns to rest and I headed to the theaters to see this movie. Boy, am I glad I did, because I loved it! I think that Venom is a must see for any Marvel comic book fan! I was thrilled when a copy showed up at my doorstep – and you know I had to immediately check out the bonus features!
I just got back from seeing Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse and I admit, I was blown away. I went in to this movie completely expecting it to be amazing. My expectations were extremely high – and my mind was still blown. That says a lot. My eyeballs were glued to the screen throughout the entire film. I laughed. A lot. I cried. A lot. It was pure perfection. If you are a Spider-Man fan or not, this movie should be at the top of your must see list!
After seeing the fist trailer for The House With A Clock in Its Walls my daughters REALLY wanted to see it. My youngest is 5 years old so I just wasn’t sure if it was going to be too much for her. Even some parts of the trailer spooked her a little. The after the second trailer came out I decided for sure we would wait until the home release. My 7 year old was a little upset about this, but agreed. So imagine how excited we were when an advance copy of the blu-ray showed up at our door!
You might recall that last year, Amy from As The Bunny Hops and I did a Countdown to Infinity War. We watched all the movies again and live tweeted them. It was so much fun. Then Avengers: Infinity War devastated us. Now we have Avengers: Endgame coming up and we updated the schedule, just as we promised you. Here is how you can watch all the MCU movies, in order, before seeing Avengers: Endgame in theaters this upcoming April.
Smallfoot is an adorable movie that my family really enjoyed. As a parent, I especially loved that it teaches my girls some important lessons.
I can finally scream it from the rooftops – I WAS ON THE SET OF CAPTAIN MARVEL! Yes, you read that right. Trust me, the Marvel fan girl inside of me was freaking out. It has been so hard to keep this a secret and I cannot wait to give you guys all the details. The things that I saw, the things that I touched, the things that I witnessed… will all have to remain a secret for now. Sorry guys, all I can tell you is that I was there! But soon enough I will let you in on all the little details, so stay tuned!
Overlord is a movie that I had been looking forward to for a long time, and I finally got to head to theaters this week to see it! It was well worth the wait because it was amazing! I knew that since J.J. Abrams was involved, it was going to be good. But honestly I did not expect to love it as much as I did. I am a big fan of horror and thriller movies, and that is exactly what Overlord it – with a LOT of gore thrown in the mix.
