My husband and I are huge Star Wars fans. In fact, we honeymooned at Disney World during one of their Star Wars Weekends (and may or may not have planned our wedding around those dates). So needless to say, we saw The Force Awakens in theaters the day it came out. We have been toying with the idea of introducing our daughters to the Star Wars series. The fact that they already felt so connected to Rey without seeing the movie, made us realize it was time. We decided to start with The Force Awakens to see how they liked it – and my 4 year old is now begging us to watch the rest of the films!
We thought the best way to get them into the Star Wars series was surround their first experience with fun. And thanks to Hasbro, we could do just that. We threw a Star Wars: The Force awakens viewing party complete with Nerf Blasters, Kylo Ren’s lightsaber, masks, and even some Star Wars Figures! Hasbro even provided a copy of The Force Awakens on DVD/Blu-Ray/Digital Copy! After our media room was set up like a Star Wars fan’s dream, my 3 and 4 year old couldn’t wait to watch the movie! I was honestly surprised by how much they loved it – and my 3 year old is obsesses with BB-8 now! She takes the little toy figure of him with her everywhere.
