One of my favorite animated television shows when I was younger was Kim Possible. I just loved seeing a young girl be a secret agent spy. It was so much fun to watch and I fell in love with the characters. So when I heard that Disney was releasing a live action version of this show, I was thrilled. Of course my family tuned in to see it air on The Disney Channel, and we loved it! Disney sent us an advance copy of the Kim Possible DVD home release – and we watched it right away.

I am a giant fan of the Toy Story franchise. I remember watching the first one when I was (much) younger and then sobbing like a baby at the end of Toy Story 3. My excuse was that I was super pregnant but ya know, I still cry when I watch it. When the news first dropped a while back that there was going to be a Toy Story 4, I was cautiously optimistic. But the more I learned about it, the more excited I got. And now we finally have a full length trailer – with lots of new toys!

I called Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse the best animated film of all time, and I stand by that. My family and I saw it in theaters opening weekend and we loved it. So much more so than we could have ever imagined. The animation style is like nothing that has ever been done before and I felt like I was inside of a comic book. Spider-Verse is finally coming home on March 19th, and I received a super awesome package from Sony to celebrate. The better news? You can win one for yourself!

MCU

AHHHHHH!!!!!!! You guys!!! This morning we got a surprise trailer – the second Avengers: Endgame trailer – and I have so much to say about it. Tony Stark is back on Earth and with the team! Poor Scott Lang is super confused, but back from the Quantum Realm. Hawkweye’s family is growing up so what sent him down a dark path to become Ronin? Rocket has found a new shoulder to perch on, and Thor + Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) = LOVE!

I took my daughters to see Captain Marvel on opening night and the whole family loved it. I already wrote a spoiler free review, but now that the movie has been out a few days I am ready to get in to the spoilers with you. If you have not seen this movie or want to avoid Captain Marvel spoilers, bookmark this post for a later time. As a comic book reader I can tell you a lot of things were changed, but they all made sense to me in the end.

MCU

Last night I finally was able to see Captain Marvel in theaters. I felt like I had been waiting way too long to see it, probably because I was on the set a year ago. As a big fan of Carol Danvers in the comics, sure there were some changes. Two in particular upset me at first (but that is for another post), however it all came together and made sense in the end. This was the first Marvel movie my daughters, ages 6 and 7, saw in theaters, and now they are begging for more! We all really enjoyed the film, from beginning to end.

While I was in town for the Avengers: Infinity War World Premiere, I also got to do something amazing. The afternoon before the premiere we were brought to the set of Captain Marvel. Yes, CAPTAIN MARVEL! While there I got a behind the scenes look at so many things. I saw some of the props used, browsed the costume trailer, chatted with executive producer Jonathan Schwartz, and even watch a scene being filmed. I am pretty sure that my face was in a permasmile the entire day as I took it all in.

One of my family’s favorite things to do is go to the movies together. We love escaping from reality for a couple of hours and having fun together. One movie that we all cannot wait to see is Wonder Park. This looks like such a fun filled movie and we are counting the days until it hits theaters – March 15th!
