Hello Tomorrow! Season One Review: A Must Watch

Hello Tomorrow! delivers a unique combination of retro and futuristic while throwing intriguing twists and turns at viewers.

Hello Tomorrow Apple TV+ review

Apple TV+ has proven time and time again that they are about quality over quantity, and Hello Tomorrow! once again falls into that category. This series kicks off with an extremely interesting first season that will have viewers on the edge of their seats and begging for more. Not only is it absolutely gorgeous down to every last detail, from the set design to the costuming to the hair and makeup, the story is powerful, intriguing, and mysterious.

About: Set in a retro-future world, Hello Tomorrow! centers around a group of traveling salesmen hawking lunar timeshares. Billy Crudup stars as Jack, a salesman of great talent and ambition, whose unshakeable faith in a brighter tomorrow inspires his coworkers, revitalizes his desperate customers, but threatens to leave him dangerously lost in the very dream that sustains him.

Full of Twists and Turns

One of the best things about this series is that it will hook you right from the start. The first episode is just a few minutes in when something completely unexpected happens and sets the tone for the rest of the show. We refuse to get into spoilers but trust us, your jaw will drop and you will know that Hello Tomorrow! is not messing around.

As the first season continues, nearly every episode delivers some kind of major reveal or shocking discovery, which keeps the audience on their toes. The writing itself is absolutely brilliant, really helping to solidify the retro-future mashup, due to the dialogue that is used. Of course, it is the sets and costumes that really drive home that feel, however.

Hello Tomorrow! works as well as it does because viewers honestly have no clue what could happen next. Every time they think they have something figured out, a new twist comes in and turns it all upside down. This is not done in a frustrating way, though. Instead it just induces an eagerness to keep watching and discover how it will all play out.

Every single plot point is interesting and given its time to shine. There is not one that is pushed to the backburner, which allows this talented cast their time to shine.

A Phenomenal Cast

Literally every single person involved in their project excels in their role. They all have their part to play in the little moments, and the massive ones. The group of salespeople that Jack surrounds himself with have different personalities, naturally. So it is fun to see them intermingle with each other and watch the relationships evolve and change. There are a lot of secrets being kept between these five people, which keeps things interesting.

Myrtle, played by Alison Pill, she is the adversary of the series. A sweet and jilted housewife who feels as if she was wrongly taken advantage of, brings something wonderful to the table here. She is one of those “villains” that you love to hate. It is almost impossible not to relate to her at times and see her side of things. This makes her role in the story one of the best.

Overall Thoughts

Hello Tomorrow! season one is comprised of ten episodes that are roughly thirty minutes each. It is a quick and easy binge watch, however we highly recommend checking it out as it airs. The first three episodes drop on Apple TV+ on February 17th, which makes complete sense to us because they work really well together and feel like a great introduction for what is to come.

After that, the show releases one episode weekly and while you could certainly wait until finale day, April 7th, to binge the series, you are only doing yourself a disservice as you could be spoiled for some of the major twists. Season one ends on a massive cliffhanger, so there better be a season two. We can’t wait to see where it goes from here!

A visually stunning series that will send viewers on a journey through a retro-futuristic world, complete with shocking twists. Characters that are so easy to fall in love with, you will root for them even through their faults.
