The Disneyland Resort will host four fun-filled days of events, featuring some of your favorite Disney Friends. Whether Guests start their day “barking along” a 3.1- mile adventure or “get their ducks in a row” for 6.2 miles … or even say “see ya real soon” as they embark for an epic 13.1 miles, our Disney friends will be there to cheer them on!! Even more exciting news for the 2024 event weekend includes a brand-new offering to runDisney events at Disneyland Resort, early morning yoga from inside Disneyland Park!

That’s a grand total of 3 medals in one weekend! You’ll need to register for the Dumbo Double Dare Challenge––which includes both races––to be eligible for the challenge medal.
Registration
Please familiarize yourself with the following runDisney registration policies:
- Entry fees for runDisney events, commemorative items, donations or any other event-related purchases are non-refundable.
- Entry fees for runDisney include a separate processing fee. Donations do not include a separate processing fee.
- Disney reserves the right to refuse the entry into, and/or revoke any registration for, any race for any reason in its sole discretion with refund of any applicable registration fees being the sole remedy of any such refusal and/or revocation.
- Registrations may be transferred within the same race weekend to a longer race distance, as long as the desired race distance is not sold out. The participant must log into their runDisney account and select the registration they wish to transfer. Once the participant has selected the new distance they wish to transfer to, the participant will be prompted to pay any difference in registration price (if any) and then a transfer processing fee will be applied.
- Race entries/bibs are not transferrable from one person/participant to another person/participant. Sale, trade and/or transfer of race entry/bib number is strictly prohibited and may result in the disqualification of and/or banning of offenders from participating at future events. Anyone caught attempting to sell or transfer their race entry/bib to another person/participant, pick up another person’s/participant’s race entry/bib, or participate in a race using another participant’s race entry/bib, will have said race entry/bib cancelled and/or revoked, be disqualified and be removed from the race without refund.
- Event merchandise purchased is subject to sales tax. Participants must pick up all event merchandise before the end of the Expo. Uncollected merchandise will not be shipped to participants. runDisney and its affiliates reserve the right to dispose of uncollected merchandise in any manner at their sole discretion.
Dates, times and prices are subject to change. All races are subject to capacity limits and may close at any time.
Eligibility
All members of the family are encouraged to participate so long as each member is eligible for the particular racing event, as follows:
- All participants for a 5K distance must be 5 years of age or older on race day to participate and must be able to complete the 5K on their own.
- Participants for a 10K distance must be 10 years of age or older.
- Participants for a Half Marathon distance must be 14 years of age or older.
- Participants for the Dumbo Double Dare must be 14 years of age or older.
- Participants for Yoga must be 10 years of age or older to participate. Children under age 14 must be accompanied by a Guest 14 years of age or older to participate.
- Age requirements for Virtual races are the same as in person events.
Proof of Time
If you believe you will finish the Half Marathon in 2 hours and 15 minutes (2:15) or less, proof of time is required for start group placement. If you believe you will finish the Half Marathon in over 2 hours 15 minutes, proof of time is not required. Start group placement is based on your anticipated finish time and start group capacities. Proof of time is not required for the 5K and 10K races.

Pacing Requirements
- Must maintain a minimum of 16-minute-per-mile pace for all participants in the Half Marathon and 10K.
- A training pace of 15-minutes-per-mile is recommended.
- Pace cyclists will be on the course indicating when runners are behind pace by waving a red flag at each mile marker according to the official pace time. If you reach a mile marker with a red flag waving, please note you are behind the required 16-minute-per-mile pace and can be picked up at any time and transported to the course pick up tent.
Safety Reminders
- All participants, Guests, costumes and bags are subject to inspection and screening prior to entering the event staging areas. All participants must follow the instructions of runDisney officials.
- Weapons of any kind or objects that appear to be actual weapons—including toy guns—are not allowed for any participants. Foam swords and all-plastic lightsabers may be permitted, but they may not exceed 36” in length.
- For everyone’s safety, selfie sticks, baby joggers, strollers, baby carriers, backpacks, skates, scooters, bicycles, skateboards, and animals of any kind are prohibited from the course and event staging areas. Violators will be removed from the course and transported to the finish line area.
- Service animals are permitted to be on course with proper approvals from runDisney. In order to be granted approval for the use of service animals, please visit the Contact Us section on www.rundisney.com to submit your request.
- Headphones are discouraged due to audio messages that are placed throughout the course for participant safety.
- runDisney can offer human guides to assist registered participants with disabilities. Please contact [email protected], no later than 90 days in advance of the event.
- Any participant under the runDisney event age requirement will not be permitted. Only registered athletes are permitted in participant only areas.

- Flags of any kind that are larger than 3′ x 5′ regardless of how flag is intended to be carried.
- Flag poles cannot be longer than 4 feet or have a diameter of more than 4 inches.
- Pole can be made of wood, plastic, and/or PVC. Poles made of metal are not allowed.
- Only poles with rounded or flat ends are allowed. No decorative or sharp ends will be allowed.
- Flag harnesses will be permitted if the participant bib is not covered and the harness does not pose a safety hazard.
runDisney reserves the right to deny the presence of flags during runDisney events that runDisney considers inappropriate or that could detract from the experience of other participants and Guests. Please review the Disneyland Resort Park Rules for further details.
While participants are welcome to take pictures, selfie sticks are prohibited in all areas at runDisney events.
Costumes
runDisney reserves the right to deny admission to, or remove, any person wearing attire that runDisney considers inappropriate or attire that could detract from the experience of other participants and Guests. All participants may dress as their favorite character, but must follow these guidelines as determined solely by runDisney:
- Costumes must be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, objectionable or violent.
- Participants 14 and older may not wear costume masks of any kind.
- Participants 13 and younger may wear costume masks, however, the participant’s eyes must be visible, and the mask may not cover the participant’s entire face.
- Participants who dress like characters may not pose for pictures or sign autographs for other Guests except as expressly requested and authorized by runDisney.
- Costumes may not drag on the ground.
- Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another participant.
- Costumes may not contain any weapons which resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
- Layered costumes, such as ball gowns, hoop skirts, those that have an infrastructure with metal components or hard edges, costumes that do not follow the natural contour of the human body, and/or costumes that could conceal prohibited items are not permitted.
- Layered clothing, including tutus over running shorts, cold-weather gear such as sweatshirts or sweatpants, and clothing that follows the natural contour of the body are permitted unless they present a safety hazard (e.g. dragging on the ground).
- Costumes or large props including, without limitation, items that present a safety hazard (e.g. King Triton’s trident), those that surround the entire body (e.g. cardboard, plastic or other wearable costumes with hard edges, such as a house from Disney-Pixar’s Up), those that are inflatable, or those that physically connect multiple participants to each other are not permitted.
- Small, inflatable or soft-bodied, handheld props (e.g. an inflatable Toy Story ball) are permitted.
- Tutus, transparent wings and hats/headwear are permitted; however, they may not cover the participant’s face.
- Capes may be worn if the length does not go below the waist.
- Themed T-shirts, blouses, sweatshirts and hats are acceptable.
- Participants who do not adhere to these guidelines may be refused entry into, and/or removed from, a runDisney event unless their costume can be modified to meet the above standards.
Please note that while costumed attire may be worn during runDisney events, Guests 14 and older are not permitted to wear costumed attire in the theme parks during normal operating hours. As a result, Guests will need to change their attire prior to visiting the parks after participating in a runDisney event.
Please avoid bringing unnecessary items with you on the day of the runDisney event. Participants will not be permitted to wear or use items, costumes or props in violation of safety and costume requirements.
Weather
The race will be held rain or shine. If there is lightning in the area, the race may have a delayed start, or be cancelled.
As a reminder, the registration fees are nonrefundable.
