During an exclusive interview with Mama’s Geeky, Director Christopher Landon shares hilarious Jennifer Coolidge We Have A Ghost set stories.

Jennifer Coolidge Hilarious We Have A Ghost Set Stories
Netflix’s We Have A Ghost is packed with notable names in the Entertainment industry. This cast is incredible and includes Anthony Mackie, David Harbour, and Jennifer Coolidge. During an exclusive interview with the Director, Christopher Landon (you might know his other work, like Freaky), he opens up and shares some hilarious set stories.
Landon says that in real life, Jennifer Coolidge is exactly what you want. “She’s a pro. She’s not ditzy or spacey. She’s super focused, and really intelligent, and articulate and eager.” He goes on to say that Coolidge is so excited about work and wants to give it all in her performance. He claims that she is fearless.
“She’s crazy. She wanted to do her own stunts. She wanted to leap through the window!” Landon says in reference to one of the funniest scenes in We Have A Ghost, where Jennifer Coolidge’s character jumps through a window.
When asked if she did, indeed, do her own stunts, Landon laughs and says “No! We were like, Jen, it is wildly dangerous to do that. You cannot do it.”
Christopher Landon adds another story that involves both David Harbour and Jennifer Coolidge. During that same scene, Harbour’s character grabs the throat of Coolidge’s character. She insisted that he do it harder. “She was hardcore. She was like, you got to do it harder. I’ve got to really feel you choking me because she wanted to be in the scene with him.”

We Have A Ghost Easter Eggs
That scene in the film is the “creepiest” scene in the whole movie, and when asked about the inspiration behind it, Landon admits they called it the Raiders of the Lost Ark scene, because there is a face melting moment. He goes on to explain that he took a lot of inspiration from other films, and put nods to them in the film.
“There’s a lot of Easter eggs and nods in the movie. There’s the scene in the attic when Kevin’s alone, touring the house and you see that red ball roll between his his feet. And that’s my Changeling moment. I wanted to nod to a lot of movies that inspired this one. There’s an Exorcist moment. There’s a there’s all kinds of stuff in that sequence that really just references to a lot of other things.”
In regards to the entire cast, Christopher Landon says that he’s really proud of them. “They all did great work.” Stream We Have A Ghost on Netflix February 24th to see exactly what he is talking about.
