Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2
11:00AM – 12:00PM, Live on the Celebration Stage; streamed to the Galaxy and Twin Suns Stages
“Strap in kid, you’re not gonna want to miss this view.” Join host David Collins as he invites Star Wars: The Bad Batch executive producer and supervising director Brad Rau, executive producer and head writer Jen Corbett, story editor Matt Michnovetz, actors Dee Bradley Baker (the Bad Batch) and Michelle Ang (Omega) to discuss highlights from the first season of the acclaimed series as well as some exciting hints of what’s to come in season two!
The panel starts with a recap video of The Bad Batch season 1.
Dave Filoni surprises the room and comes out to introduce the panelist. Brad Rau (Supervising Director), Jennifer Corbett (Head Writer), Matt Michnovetz (Story Editor), Dee Dradley Baker (The Bad Batch), Michelle Ang (Omega).
Jennifer – Early on they knew it was going to take place post order 66. and seeing it through the bad batch who don’t always do things according to plan.

Brad – The Empire is trying to built. Legion of Clone Troopers who are not colorful anymore was the way of showing the Empire taking over.
Can Crosshair be redeemed? Brad says, does he want to be redeemed?
Jennifer says her favorite moment was getting to pair Omega with Hera. She doesn’t often get to hang out with kids.
We like to take these guys out of their comfort zone and put them in situations they aren’t familiar with. “That’s where our show lives.” – Matt.
Michelle says Wrecker is the fun big brother. There are all these light moments but Omega gets to participate in big emotional moments as well. She’s forgiving with both Crosshair and Wrecker, knowing what is about to happen and finding that love and forgiveness.
Dee Bradley Baker loves when Wrecker prepared a room for Omega. “It’s such a touching, beautiful gesture and moment that plants the flag of what they have to learn and how they are going to make it work when the world shifts from a Republic.”
Michelle and Dee surprise fans with reading a scene from The Bad Batch season 1 LIVE!
George loves this show and he really wanted to do The Bad Batch.
Who named them? It came out as a joke, it had a dirty dozen thing so it stuck. Their names were mostly George Lucas and Dave Filoni.
So many notorious figures show up in season one of The Bad Batch, so how did that come about?

Now they have to be normal civilians and provide for themselves. They run out of money and food, so they try to sell an explosive. They wanted a bounty hunter and Dave Filoni told them there was on e who was coming to The Mandalorian, so the team got to see that episode early so they could add her. Cad is the old guard and Fennec is the new guard, so they got to have a showdown.
The season finale. Jennifer says they knew early on it was going to end with the fall of the city. The final nail in the coffin of creating the clones. Writing it was one thing but seeing it was another. The performance from Michelle and Dee was heartbreaking.
In season two the team has a new look. They show an exclusive clip, just for those in attendance. And the team has a NEW look!
They are wearing their evolution as armor. Brad says the troopers with the Empire are devoid of color and The Bad Batch is more colorful — it’s on purpose.
The Bad Batch season 2 trailer shows Commander Cody, the Padawan Wookie Gungi from Clone Wars, and the Emperor — who Omega comes face to face with!
