Death To 2020 Review: It’s Funny Because It’s True

Death To 2020 is a one hour special on Netflix that depicts the main events of the past year. You can’t help but laugh because or else, you will cry.

There is a new mockumentary on Netflix called Death To 2020 that goes over the major events of this past year. It is sure to make you laugh, no matter what side of things you are on, because it makes fun of everything and everyone. There were even some moments I had totally forgotten occurred in 2020, because this year has felt way too long. Watch Death to 2020 to make you laugh at these insane events that we went through because if you don’t laugh, you will probably cry.

Amazing Cast Of Comedians

This cast of comedians is on point. Each and every person served their purpose and did a great job portraying their characters. I laughed throughout almost this entire special. So much so, that I had to go back and watch it a second time because I knew there were things I missed the first time around. 

I truly don’t think I could choose a favorite because each person brought something unique and hilarious to the table. Lisa Kudrow, Tracey Ullman, Leslie Jones, Hugh Grant…. I seriously could go on and on. Every single character, even the narrator, is sure to have you giggling until your sides hurt. 

Something For Everyone

One of my favorite things about this special is that there is something for everyone. They make fun of both sides — the right and the left. Maybe not an equal amount but there seems to be something for everyone to laugh at in here.

From the wildfires, to Brexit, to the election, to the Black Lives Matter movement, this Netflix special pokes fun at both sides of it all. If you can’t laugh at the craziness this world has been through this year, perhaps you need to take a long hard look at yourself. 2020 is finally over, we can all laugh at it now — because like I said above, if we don’t, we will probably end up crying.

Overall Thoughts

Death To 2020 one hour special that pokes fun at what the entire world went through this past year. It takes a look at what seems like an insane and crazy year, and allows people to laugh at it. There is no better medicine than laughter, and that is what this special gives us.

Hopefully we can all start to heal and move on after the difficulties and stressful situations we have dealt with this past year. It is time to move on. Time to enjoy life again. I for one, cannot wait. This special had me laughing at myself, as well as the other side, and that is something I can really appreciate. 

This is the perfect movie to watch as 2020 comes to a close. It is only an hour long, and it flies by. We all need a good laugh, so reward yourself for making it to the end of the year and put on Death To 2020!
