The D23 Expo comes around every two years and it drops ALL THE Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars news. We are usually given trailers, release dates, special looks, and so much more. This year is no different, and we are getting so much amazing news. Disney+ is going to be bringing us three more live action Marvel shows, and the new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker poster has me gasping for air (AMAZING!).
Since I am not there right now (grrrr), I am working solely off social media and press releases to tell me all the things I am missing. So if something is an error, I do apologize, and I will be updating it.
Black Panther II
So we FINALLY got a release date for Black Panther II. May 6th, 2022. I am so excited for this because the first Black Panther is one of my favorite Marvel movies. It was simply amazing.
The Eternals
Kit Harrington is joining the cast of The Eternals and I love it! Jon Snow is officially part of the MCU (sort of, kind of, LOL) and so I am here for it! Honestly, The Eternals is one Marvel entity I know VERY little about. Which means it is time to read all the comics for “research”… man, I love my job.
Jungle Cruise
Jungle Cruise is easily one of my favorite rides at Magic Kingdom. We love the lame jokes, and the fact that my daughters now say the punch lines and roll their eyes makes it so much better. Apparently, The Rock says :the backside of water” and that ALONE makes this movie worth watching (probably more than once). If you don’t get that joke, go to Walt Disney World. Now.
.@TheRock does say "the backside of water"…we're good. đ€Ł#JungleCruise#D23Expo #D23Expo2019

Black Widow
My friends that are at the D23 Expo right now are not only getting all the news, they also got to see footage of Black Widow. Turns out it was a fight and now I have to hate them all. I am green with envy right now!
Holy s#$t that Natasha/Elana fight scene in Budapest đ±#BlackWidow #Marvel #D23Expo #D23Expo2019

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
This poster alone has me peeing my pants with excitement. I mean… Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is something I was looking forward to before this new poster. And now? December cannot come soon enough! I am a huge fan of the villains, Emperor Palpatine being one of the best ever, I am so excited to see him back. And cannot wait for more details.
Cruella
Emma Stone as Cruella de Vil? YES PLEASE! I was sold on her before I even saw this photo. And now?! Well now I am beyond hyped. She looks amazing. Cruella is truly evil. It is one of the things I love about her so much. Yes, we all know I am a fan of the villains.

Onward
I love Tom Holland, I love Chris Pratt, so naturally I am excited for Onward! I am totally jealous that everyone at the panel (some of my friends included) were able to see Tom Holland and Chris Pratt in person (and a ton of footage!).

Then Tom Holland told my friends he loves them 3000, and I am pretty sure I have to hate them now. Dang. We had a good run.
Soul
Anything Pixar is OK in my book. So even though we knew nothing about Soul until today, I was excited for it. At the D23 Expo movies panel we were just given the cast, and now I am even more thrilled.
- Questlove – Curly
- Phylicia Rashad – Liba
- Daveed Diggs – Paul
- Jamie Foxx – Joe
- Tina Fey – 22
#Soul tells the story of the things that make you "you". Joe Gardner, middle school band teacher, dreams of playing jazz at The Half Note and finally gets his chance. #Pixar #D23Expo #D23Expo2019
