Because we are such big fans, we were thrilled to be given an advance copy of the first Peg + Cat movie! In this fun-filled, two-part movie, the president of the United States (voiced by actress Sandra Oh) summons Peg and Cat to the White House to solve a problem of national importance! She needs Peg and Cat to identify a mysterious object floating in space. Using their problem-solving skills, the duo discovers that a giant opera-singing pig is on a collision course with Earth. Can Peg and Cat save the planet from disaster?

If you are a fan of the Guardians of the Galaxy films, take it from a comic book nerd like me, there are some books you just HAVE to read. If you want some great movie tie-ins and backgrounds on your favorite characters, these are the ones for you. Ideally, I would love to convince you all to go to your local comic book shop or look online and pick up every single issue that any of the Guardians appear in – but that is asking A LOT, I know. So I put together 5 of my favorite comic books (OK, a few are trade paperbacks) that any Marvel Cinematic Universe fan should pick up.

My family has been on two Disney Cruises now. Going in to the second one, we felt like we knew a little bit more about what we wanted to book. A must have for us was the Disney Junior Breakfast. When we go to Disney World, we always make sure to book the Disney Junior Breakfast as Hollywood Studios. My daughters are 4 and 5 so they actively watch the shows and are huge fans of the characters. They are always excited to meet them, and we knew it would be no different on the cruise.

While in LA recently, I was lucky enough to get a sneak peak at ABC’s new show, Downward Dog. I have two dogs myself (a pug and puggle) and am a HUGE dog lover so I was really excited to see this show. I honestly had no idea how hard it would hit me. Within minutes I was feeling guilty for flying to LA and leaving my pups behind. I instantly thought of all the moments I didn’t take them for a walk when I should have or when I pet them when I should have. A special sneak peak of Downward Dog airs tonight, May 16th, at 9:30pm, don’t miss it!

My daughters and 4 and 5 and they have been dying to see Rock Dog. We missed it in theaters because we happened to have a lot going on that month. We have a small theater in town and they actually only had it playing there for 2 weeks. I have been promising that we would watch it as soon as it came out on Blu-ray. Lucky for them (and me!) we were able to get an advance copy from Lionsgate – and it made their day! I mean, just look at those happy faces!

Happy Mother’s Day to all you great moms out there! I hope you’re having a happy, healthy celebration. Yes, I put happy and healthy in the same sentence—because we are happier when we’re living a healthy life. And what better time to start than today, the launch of National Women’s Health Week?

From the moment we saw the first trailer for The Space Between Us, my husband and I were very excited to see it. It looked like it would be very interesting. We love space related movies and shows – The Expanse is one of our favorite shows and this sort of reminded us of it. What seemed like a great story, a boy born on Mars whose body cannot survive the Earth’s atmosphere, was even better than both of us expected.

My girls are HUGE Cars fans. We have seen the first two films more times than I can count. My whole family is really excited for Cars 3 and are counting the days until June 16th! It comes out right before my oldest daughter’s 6th birthday so we plan to take her and a couple friends to see it. We have been watching the teasers and the new trailer for it over and over and getting excited. Whenever we go to Disney World, we always have to visit Lightning McQueen and Mater! If we don’t we would never hear the end of it from the girls!

One of the funniest interviews of the day was our first interview of the day – Michael Rooker (Yondu) and Sean Gunn (Kraglin) in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2. These two play a couple of Ravagers and work more closely together than you might think. They had us in stitches nearly the whole interview making it one of my favorites of the day. Apparently Michael Rooker feels the same way because he ended the interview saying some very things to us, “This is the best, this is the pinnacle of all the interviews that we have done. Oh, I could totally do this all day.”

My girls and I love reading. We sit together every night and they each pick a couple of books to read. One book that seems to always be chosen lately is Happy Dreamer. I am totally OK with reading this over and over because it really teaches kids a great lesson – that you can be whatever you want to be! This is a must have book for any family with young kids.
