It is no secret that the Smith family is a family of gamers. Yes, we are a busy bunch with lots of extracurricular activities like basketball and volunteering – but we always make time for gaming. Something you may not know about my daughters is that this is their third and fourth year of dance classes. It is something they look forward to every year. So when they can combine their passion for dance, and their love of video games, they are two happy girls. That is where Just Dance 2018 comes in.
What We Love About It
One of our favorite things to do together as a family is laugh. With Just Dance 2018, we spend a lot of time laughing. Partly because we are having fun, but also partly because I am so bad at this game. Don’t get me wrong, I love it, I just have two left feet. When I was in dance as a little girl, I was the one going the opposite way as everyone else on stage. My 6 year old is probably ten times better than me at this game – which makes me happy.
This is a game that we can play together as a family. We really enjoy battling against each other to see who can be the champion of the night. I also love it because it is actually a great way to exercise – while still playing a video game! I have broken a sweat on several occasions (OK, basically every time I play). The song selection in this version of Just Dance has us coming back for more and more!
Who It’s For
Just Dance 2018 is truly a game that the whole family can enjoy. My girls probably shouldn’t pay attention to the lyrics in some of them, but there are plenty they can dance to! My favorite is probably Ed Sheeran “Shape of You“, while girls always choose Disney’s Moana “How Far I’ll Go“. I think the World Dance Floor, which allows you to compete online, it really opens this game up to all ages. Perfect for kids, tweens, teens, and adults – Just Dance 2018 is a “for everyone” game!
