Whether you are traveling the states or the world – here are some great tips and items from Mama Smith’s for your travels!

I am going to come right out and say it – I am a Disney fanatic. My daughters are 3 and 5 years old and they have already been to Walt Disney World twice – and we have their third trip planned for this November. My husband and I honeymooned at Disney World and we have decided that our yearly family vacation will always be Disney related. Half of the fun for me is planning out our trips – I mean booking dining reservations and fast passes.

While visiting Hershey, PA with my family recent, we decided to stay at Hershey Lodge. I am so glad that we decided to do this because there are so many perks that make it more than worth it. When we go back to Hershey (because we will definitely be back), we plan to stay here again. If you are planning a Hershey trip, I cannot recommend Hershey Lodge enough – it is a great place to stay!

Recently I took my whole family to Hersheypark for a weekend. We live in Upstate New York so it is not that long a drive (about 5 hours) and we were all really excited to go! My husband grew up in New York and so he had been there with his family when he was younger but not recently. Myself and our young daughters had never been – but had heard great things. We spent our entire Saturday in the park and had more fun than we ever imagined.

I used to live in Florida and have been to Universal Studios Orlando more times than I can count. I even had an annual pass for a few years. I recently went for the first time with young kids (3 and 4 years old) and I admit, I was a little nervous about it at first. I wasn’t sure what they would be able to do and if it would be worth it. Well, it was totally worth it! I have put together some tips and tricks to make sure that you and your kids can have a great time at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida!

Darien Lake’s wide variety of entertainment has made it “destination fun” since 1964. Located 45 minutes from Niagara Falls between Buffalo and Rochester, N.Y., today the park boasts more than 50 rides, including six world-class roller coasters; dozens of family-friendly rides; the region’s largest water park complete with wave pool; a 20,000-seat performing arts center, operated by Live Nation; and world-class in-park entertainment.

The biggest movie in the world right now is Captain America: Civil War. If you have not seen it yet, what are waiting for? It is action packed, thrilling, and just – well – it is incredible. (You can read my full review here). I am a huge comic book fan and have always been on Team Iron Man when it comes to the Civil War story line, but after watching the movie, I can honestly say that I am divided. I walked away not knowing who is on the “right” side – in fact, I don’t think there is one. We are a house divided, as you can see above. My 3 year old LOVES Captain America (she was even him for Halloween) and my 4 year old is an Iron Man girl through and through. I was thrilled to be able to give them their own American Tourister luggage to help them represent their teams while on trips.

After unveiling the aircraft in a ceremony on March 27 at Osaka’s Itami Airport, the aircraft made a one-off domestic flight as ANA22 from Itami to Haneda before departing the airport as flight ANA106 to Los Angeles, marking the start of the aircraft’s international service. The aircraft is scheduled to fly various international routes, principally routes linking Haneda, Narita and US – Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Washington D.C., Houston, and Singapore. What I wouldn’t give to fly on BB-8! This jet looks incredible – and BB-8 is one of my favorite characters from the entire Star Wars film series!

If you are an on the go family like we are, then I have a product that you really need to check out! My husband has every Monday off so we love to spend weekends away and take trips to visit new and exciting places. That means, this summer, we plan to do a lot of camping. When I heard about the Kid-O-Bunk by Disc-O-Bed, I just knew they were something we needed to get for all of our plans. The Kid-O-Bunk is a portable bunk bed for kids on the go. When it arrived at our house, I must say, I was a tad intimidated. I was so nervous that is was going to be really hard to put together but it was quick and easy! I did not need any tools and I knew instantly this was just what needed for our camping trips this summer!

My family and I recently spent a night at Kalahari Resorts in the Poconos and we are already planning another trip there. We all had so much fun! There is so much to do for every member of the family – no matter their age. We have told all of our friends and family about it and would love to take a large group with us next time for at least a couple of days. Below are 5 reasons that I think you should start planning your trip there as well.

I recently took a long weekend trip to Ottawa, Canada with my family. We are lucky enough that we live a short 3 hour drive away in Upstate New York. We have spent plenty of time in Canada already since we moved here just 3 short years ago, but this was our first time in the country’s capital. It was kind of a whirlwind trip as we decided last minute to check out a winter festival that we had just learned about – Winterlude – and boy are we glad that we did. The city itself is amazing, the architecture is incredible. We are already planning a summer trip back so that we can spend more time walking around the city and taking it all in (it was negative 30 degrees there so we were not spending much time walking around).
